Chapter 1 - Prologue

The Wheel Of Dharma.

An eternal cycle that spans across four different ages.

Satyayuga, The Golden Age

Tretayuga, The Silver Age

Dwaparyuga, The Bronze Age

And finally, Kaliyuga, The Iron Age.

Upon the end of an age, the Wheel turns and brings about a paradigm shift. A shift that brings with itself drastic changes.

The Wheel completes a full turn when all of the ages start and end in their respective times, all the way from Satyayuga to Kaliyuga.

The Wheel is an eternal engine. It has no beginning and will have no end. It's only purpose....to ensure that order is maintained within the ages, to turn the wheels of time and usher in the new age.

Kaliyuga

The Iron Age and the era of unrest.

The final age in the Wheel Of Dharma, after which another cycle begins.

The age began after the first second of the death of the eight avatar of Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna.

After that, the Wheel turned and the entire world fell into discord.

Greed, corruption, lust spread across every land across the Earth.

Thousands of years went, and the corruption of man increased as time went by.

Society was already dead, kept alive by a dying light known as hope and a broken sword known as faith.

But, as the years went by, people lost their faith. Their prayers unanswered, their grief unresolved.

They started to believe that heaven itself has gone silent.

In the end, the only thing that stood the gruelling test of time itself was something much more simpler than faith. Hope.

Hope for a better world.

Hope that tommorow would be better than today.

Hope that heaven will finally answer their prayers.

Soon, the only thing left was hope...

At the peak of Kaliyuga, every country in the world was embroiled in a brutal war.

The cause for the war has been lost to the pages of history. But, it's aftermath was something nobody could forget.

Entire villages were burned, towns razed to the ground, millions died from bombings and famine spread to every corner.

Despair crept into the minds of people.

Paranoia spread like common fever.

Hundreds were killed just for suspicion.

Humanity had degraded down to it's most lowest point.

But, the only thing that remained the same was the undying light of hope.

And one day...that hope had finally manifested itself.

On the 21st day of the war. In a country that was once known as "The Golden Bird", a brilliant ray of light had pierced the horizons.

The radiant light drew the attention of everyone in the world.

Fearing that the light was a weapon of mass destruction, nukes were launched at the country, from both friend and foe.

Upon seeing the silhouettes of thousands of missiles coming at them, the citizens of the country fell into despair and chaos.

Some cried, some fell to their knees, others were simply waiting. Waiting for their existence to be erased.

Everyone thought that it was the end.

Everyone, except one little girl.

Her name was lost but, her actions still resound in the halls of time itself.

She went out on the street, sat down and clasped her hands together.

And she prayed.

In the supposed final moments of her life, she surrendered her to heaven.

Those who saw her were astonished and befuddled.

How could someone pray at times like these? Especially to those who hadn't answered their prayers in centuries.

They ridiculed her. They said that the gods are deaf and that her prayers would remain unanswered.

Yet the girl continued to pray, oblivious to the discord of her countrymen.

But, in the very next moment, a miracle happened.

The brilliant white light condensed into a single point.

It's light concentrated to a single point. It's radiance outshined the Sun for a second.

Soon, small rays of light shot out of the point towards the numerous missiles.

In the blink of an eye, the entire barrage of missiles were erased.

Not destroyed or defused, but erased.

The citizens of this country had watched this with wide eyes, unable to believe the scene that had unfolded right now.

Everyone except the girl, who had watched this with a gentle smile on her face.

After this ordeal, she had said:

"The Gods aren't deaf, it is us who have forgotten them. It is our greed and pride which kept us from listening to the whispers of heaven."

After this event, the white light had vanished from the horizon, much like that of a shooting star.

But, the moment the white light had vanished, several other lights, all of different colours, shone across the country. All of them at places of religion and worship.

Nobody knew what these lights were, except the scholars of religion.

They knew all too well as to what these were.

Astras.

Weapons of divine forces. Armaments capable of buliding cities, or razing them to the ground.

Soon, these Astras chose their respective wielders, people who held immeasurable faith, devotion and above, all respect for the path of justice.

In just three years, the bloody war was stopped by this country.

New alliances were made and old ones were revied.

But, some acts of destruction were also inevitable.

After the war, the country revied it's culture. Culture which it's citizens had forgotten and buried in the pages of history.

But, they knew that culture would not be enough. So, they used the ancient technology of the Astras and combined it with modern technology, creating a new system that created the foundations of this country's sovereignty.

In just twelve years, this country became not only a world-leader but, also a place of wisdom, ancient knowledge and immeasurable power.

This country was formerly known as India.

Now, after years of struggle, it had shed it's name, a name given to it by conquerors from outside lands and embraced the name which it originally had. A name of it's first king and ruler.

Bharat. Bharatvarsh.
