Arriving back at the Wang's families courtyard
It was a whole circus
It was already well into midday and the whole family was bustling around with dinner preparations
"This wench brought some mountain finds and intends to eat it alone!" Mother Yatou from the fourth branch snapped snatching the finds sun hwa held in her skirt

"Why should I avoid them?" Sun hwa frowned pulling her hands away from Qin rong's grasp
However before she could speak further she was overcome by a wave of nausea which sent her retching in the side like a drowning ghost
"Now she's vomiting! Who knows who's bastard she's carrying" Chen Ruoxuan mocked loudly
"Your whole family are bastards!" Sun hwa cursed back, her eyes and face reddened from retching were scrunched up staring at Chen Ruoxuan's dark ugly face
She was sure this filthy woman had done something shady to marry into this family
She wasn't pretty
There was literally nothing to look at in that square face

There was basically no difference between Chen Ruoxuan and a ruler
"You worthless wretch, see if I don't beat you to death" Chen Ruoxuan picked one of this woods meant for making fire and charged forward

But the doors to the matriarch's chamber was tightly shut, with no movements from inside

Dinner that night was better than earlier during the day
With food shortage as everyone awaited harvest they could only make do with little.
A bowl each of steamed wild vegetables , potato gruel and a piece of coarse grain flat bread each
Sun hwa had nothing to eat as Hui Xiang made sure she wasn't sent any food
The children however ate with relish
Not even wasting a drop of food
Sun hwa on the other hand didn't fuse
She slept once her head hit the makeshift pillow, she wasn't a pampered treasured daughter

She knew hunger

They understood each other well hence spending one night without food was no hassle for her

Dawn broke with the birds chirping cheerfully
The Wang household was still deep in sleep

Carrying a life she didn't ask for
She didn't dawdle instead she headed to the Wang family kitchen
Where the families meals were prepared
Rummaging through it was easier than expected
Thought the things weren't in plain view they were soon spotted with a careful search

She fetched a bowl of white flour

There was a stash stored away secretly for lord knows what
And who knew which branch wife would carry and hoard it all up for her maternal family

And then she proceeded to kneading dough for pancakes and buns
There wasn't much to be added to the pancakes
However with oil and sugar it was already more than enough
Hence she focused on frying it over the pan and storing it carefully in the cloth she has brought along
The process took barely over twenty minutes and by the half an hour mark
The buns were ready
She packed it all up
Restored the kitchen to the state she met it and slipped back into her room
There she ate three pancakes and one steamed buns then drank a bit of warm water
The rest of the pancakes and buns was hidden under the bed, where her clothes were currently stored
And once done she laid down and closed her eyes to sleep again
