Chapter 64 - chapter 64

The ape rapidly leaped towards Clad, with him jumping to another tree to avoid being in his grasp. As the creature moved around on the tall trees in the dark forest, the monster suddenly punched Clad, sending him flying into another tree.

Ugh!

"How the hell is he this fast while being so huge!?" Clad said as he quickly regained his balance, as it was about to go for another punch, but luckily enough, Clad successfully avoided the punch by jumping on another three nearby. The monster tried to move away, but he couldn't; his arm was stuck in the tree trunk.

Clad suddenly jumped towards the ape, shocking him.

!?

[MANA SLASH]!

A simple yet effective move, which used energy to coat the blade to make it sharper, was enough to cut the monster's other arm. The ape growled as he swung his arm at him. It staggered; it was open.

Clad landed on another nearby branch, crouched low, calmly breathing as his pink eyes glowed faintly, focused entirely on the monster's exposed weak spot. The forest around them crackled with tension; the beasts of the night had gone quiet, watching as he and the creature were both taking position to go in for another attack, however.

The ape struggled, roaring again, but now its massive, bleeding body was betraying it, muscles trembling, footing unstable, vision clouded with pain and rage.

ROAAR!

Clad's grip tightened on his sword as he knew this was the moment to finish it, and he leaped towards the monster at great speed. His blade, blooming with petals as he swung a powerful, spinning slash, creating a wide arc, symbolizing a rose in full bloom to its neck.

[FLOWER SWORD ARTS: ROSE BLOOM]!

As the attack cut his neck, the monster couldn't keep his balance, making him lose balance and fall as Clad jumped down to finish him. The monster spoke his last words.

"Glory, Azorath...."

As the monster's lifeless body lay on the ground, he wondered to himself.

"Who is this Azorath guy anyway?"
