Chapter 11 - Chapter:11

Darkness spreads everywhere, stars start shining, and street lights spread their glow across the streets.

Orhan, Milen, and Roy are walking on the streets after their training.

"I'm tired right now," Orhan says. "I never expected Arya would be the hardest opponent I have ever faced after I got my powers."

"Arya doesn't look that powerful from the outside, but he is a very powerful and skilled fighter," Roy replies.

"He is not that powerful. I almost defeated him last time, but my ankle got sprained, so I missed my attack," Milen says.

Both Orhan and Roy stay silent after hearing this.

They reach the dorm gate, and Milen goes to her dorm room while Orhan and Roy enter Orhan's room.

When they enter Orhan's room, it is filled with pitch-black darkness.

Orhan crawls his hands along the wall to find the light switch and turns on the light.

"Sit here, I'll show you my new hoverboard," Orhan says to Roy while opening the parcel he collected from the guard.

Orhan opens the parcel. Inside is a modern hoverboard made with synthetic plastic that can't be cut or destroyed by normal types of attacks.

"Woah… this looks cool!" Roy says after seeing the hoverboard.

"I am also stunned that it came out even more amazing than what I imagined," Orhan adds.

"Should we try this in the hallway?" Orhan suggests.

"No, the warden will get angry and punish us if we are found using a hoverboard in the hallway at night," Roy replies.

"Then what should we do now? I want to check this out," Orhan says excitedly. "I waited almost one year to get this hoverboard."

"Wait, I have a plan!" Roy says. "Recently, I made a device that can turn the user invisible for half an hour, but if we want to turn any object invisible along with the user, it only lasts ten minutes."

"Nice, this will work," Orhan says. "Where is that device?"

Roy puts his hand into his pocket and brings out a wristwatch-like device that looks like it is made from a bunch of colorful wires.

"Does this device even work?" Orhan asks. "Your other devices look professional, but this one looks like you made a bracelet out of wires."

"I can understand how others might see this device as just a bunch of wires," Roy replies. "It's a secret, but I can tell you because you're our friend."

"A secret?" Orhan asks.

"I made a device that can change the size of anything," Roy replies. "This invisibility device was originally a machine as big as a car, which made it useless, so I changed its size to make it usable."

"Oh! Sorry for calling this device a bunch of wires," Orhan says. "I didn't know you were such a genius."

"Don't flatter me, it's not even that great of an invention," Roy says. "I will set this device according to you and your hoverboard."

Roy sets the invisibility device and puts it on Orhan's hand.

Orhan starts to vanish into thin air, as if he never existed.

"Hey Roy, can you see me?" Orhan asks.

"Why don't you look at yourself in the mirror and confirm it yourself?" Roy replies.

Orhan looks into the mirror and sees that his reflection is not present.

"I really became invisible, just like Milen!" Orhan says.

"Hey Orhan, remember this: no one can see you for ten minutes, but they can hear and touch you," Roy warns. "So be careful not to make any sound while riding the hoverboard."

"Okay! Let's go test my hoverboard," Orhan says.

Orhan turns on his hoverboard and stands on it, controlling it with his mind. The hoverboard starts flying in the air.

"Woah! It's working. Now let's test how fast I can fly with this," Orhan says.

"Fly at your fastest speed," Orhan commands the hoverboard in his mind.

Orhan's hoverboard flies at 429 km/h, and when Orhan is about to crash, he makes a 60-degree turn in one second or less.

"What, it's so fast, and it turns so fast too!" Orhan says. "Did you see that sharp turn I just did?"

"What turn?" Roy says. "Did you forget that no one can see you, including me?"

"Oh right, I almost forgot," Orhan says.

"Let's see how much higher it can fly," Orhan thinks and commands, "Fly to your highest limit in the sky."

Orhan leaves the hallway and starts flying into the sky at high speed. He almost reaches 25,000 feet before the hoverboard stops with a warning that the highest limit has been reached.

"What? I reached its limit already?" Orhan says, and his vision starts to become blurry.

"What's happening to m—" Orhan faints in midair.

The hoverboard come down lower, where Orhan can get more oxygen.

After five minutes, Orhan wakes up and realizes he is in the air on his hoverboard.

"I fainted in midair… how?" Orhan thinks. "Now let's go back to my room. I am completely exhausted."

Orhan flies back to his room and turns off the invisibility.

Roy sees that Orhan looks exhausted and unwell.

"Hey, are you alright?" Roy asks. "Did something happen to you?"

"I wanted to see how high this hoverboard could fly, so I tested its limit. When I reached its maximum height, my vision started to blur and I fainted. When I woke up, I was at a lower altitude," Orhan says.

"What! Let me see your hoverboard box," Roy says.

Orhan gives the hoverboard box to Roy.

Roy looks at all the details on the box and finds out that this hoverboard can fly at almost 25,000 feet with a speed of nearly 430 km/h.

"Bro, you were flying at 25,000 feet, where air pressure and oxygen levels are very low," Roy says. "You're lucky that your hoverboard is a smart AI-based device that can detect when its user is in danger and save him."

"If I can't fly this high, then how can I become more powerful than Flame King?" Orhan says in frustration. "Flame King can almost fly over the clouds like he is swimming in a pool, but I can't even reach 25,000 feet."

"Flame King uses his powers to control air and air pressure around him, which is why he can fly so easily," Roy replies. "Maybe if you can use your powers in the same way as Flame King, or you will need a device to fly that high."

Grrrr! A sound comes from both Orhan's and Roy's stomachs.

"Maybe we can discuss this in the dining hall while eating dinner," Orhan says while rubbing his stomach.

"Right, we can't think properly when we are hungry." Roy supports.
