Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Bloody Feast

The flat environment of the tenth floor was a battlefield Roy had specifically chosen to maximize the effect of the Titan army. It was like facing cavalry on an open plain.

"No, I don't want to die!"

"Captain, save me!"

"Where is the Magic Stone for this guy?"

The Rudra Familia members, surrounded by a large number of Pure Titans, screamed desperately. In their hopeless cries, they were either stomped to death or slapped to death by the Titans.

Some fought back, plunging their blades into a Pure Titan's chest, yet nothing happened. Instead, they were grabbed by the Titan's large hands.

The unknown was the most terrifying thing.

These Titans felt no fear or pain. Summoned by Roy, their objective was clear: to attack. In a sense, they were more frightening than Dungeon monsters.

A strange look flashed in Ryuu's eyes. The Pure Titans' weakness was the nape of the neck. Had the Rudra Familia known this, three or four veteran LV.1 adventurers would have been enough to defeat a fifteen-meter Titan. The Rudra Familia wouldn't have fallen into such a tragic situation. How vital was intelligence.

However, while the Pure Titans terrified most LV.1s, they wouldn't scare off LV.2 and LV.3 adventurers.

There was a fundamental difference between them!

"Hah!"

The Rudra Familia Captain leaped up. His greatsword slashed down towards a Titan about fifteen meters tall, splitting the Titan vertically in two.

The bifurcated Titan fell to the ground, emitting steam, and its massive body slowly began to disappear.

Unlike the previous Dungeon monsters, the Rudra Familia Captain gritted his teeth and roared, "Ryuu, where did you find these new monsters?!"

"Hmph!"

Ryuu scoffed. Of course, she wouldn't answer him. Those two LV.3s were her responsibility!

Seeing the Elven girl charging directly at them, the Rudra Familia Captain and Vice-Captain did not dare to be careless. She was an LV.4 adventurer; they needed to fight together to resist her.

Bang!

The cavern wall shattered, and a large number of monsters poured out.

A large-class monster, the Orc, appeared—a fat body topped by a pig's head, with a tattered old leather hide covering its waist, standing over three meters tall.

Imps also appeared—pitch-black, with a large head sprouting a single horn like a sharp pebble, and a long, slender body, moving with sharp agility.

From above, Evil Bats descended—dark-colored bat monsters that not only had sharp fangs but also emitted strange sonic waves to disrupt concentration.

The total number of monsters was no less than two hundred.

"It's a Monster Feast!"

"Why now, damn it!"

The faces of the Rudra Familia members changed drastically.

Ryuu, the Pure Titans, the Dungeon monsters, and the Rudra Familia members fought fiercely in the spacious cavern, turning the situation into a three-way brawl.

"Full retreat!"

The Rudra Familia Captain shouted. The issue was no longer whether they could take down Gale, but whether they could survive this massive chaos.

Theoretically, the tenth floor posed little danger to LV.3 adventurers, but the sudden anomaly caused them to feel a trace of terror. They had a persistent feeling that something even more bizarre was about to happen.

How could Ryuu possibly allow them to escape? She charged forward with an aggressive momentum, as if ready to perish with her enemies.

"Ryuu, if you want to die, we won't join you!" the Rudra Familia Captain gritted out.

Boom!!

Accompanied by a loud explosion and fierce flames, the entrance back to the ninth floor collapsed.

Shakti, who was waiting on the ninth floor following Ryuu's warning, hesitated for a moment about whether to go inside. Then, she saw the cavern collapse, and countless debris blocked the passage.

"Ryuu."

Concern showed in Shakti's eyes.

Shakti wasn't the only one; the members of the Rudra Familia were utterly astonished. Was their enemy insane? No matter how strong an adventurer was, if they couldn't return to the surface, they would eventually be swallowed by the Dungeon's endless monsters.

"It's that little brat!" the Rudra Familia Captain said with a dark expression. The only person capable of doing this, who hadn't shown up until now, was Roy.

A cold light flashed in Roy's eyes, hidden in the mist. He tossed the dark purple potion in his hand.

Bang!

The Zombie Venom Potion cut a beautiful arc in the air and landed in the center of the battlefield. The glass bottle shattered, and the dark purple liquid inside poured out.

Roy took out the Panacea and drank half the bottle, increasing his resistance to poison. The Zombie Venom Potion was indiscriminately lethal. Ryuu had G-rank Abnormal Resistance, so he didn't need to worry about her.

In the system, low-grade equipment and potions correspond to LV.1, and high-grade corresponds to LV.2 and LV.3.

Without Abnormal Resistance or a special skill, even an LV.3 adventurer would be affected by the Zombie Venom Potion. They could endure it longer, giving them time to find a healer to detoxify, but Roy and Ryuu wouldn't allow that opportunity; the entrance was already destroyed.

"Aahhhhhhhh—"

The Zombie Venom, now diffused in the air, spread rapidly. Horrifying screams erupted. All the LV.1 adventurers of the Rudra Familia were hit.

They slumped down painfully onto the ground, their skin pale, bloodless, and wrinkled. Their eyes turned crimson, and they gradually lost all reason.

Even several LV.2 adventurers were affected, though they could still barely hold on.

"Captain, what do we do?"

"It's over! We're all going to die here!"

"I told you we shouldn't have agreed to the War Game!"

The two Captains clearly had Abnormal Resistance, so the poison potion had little effect on them. However, the situation far exceeded their expectations. Voices of doubt, confusion, and pain surged toward them like a tide.

"It's poison!"

The two quickly realized what had happened, their faces ugly. Shouldn't such underhanded tactics be the exclusive domain of their Dark Faction? How dare the virtuous Astraea Familia do this!

What terrified them even more was that the poison Ryuu and Roy used was airborne. Ordinary poisons required direct contact, and airborne toxins were rare, let alone one so potent that it instantly took down over a hundred people.

And the effect of the Zombie Venom was not yet finished.

Those who had completely lost their reason slowly stood up, having shockingly transformed into Zombies. Due to their constitution far exceeding that of ordinary people, they were far from the common zombies Roy had faced before.

The three-way brawl became a four-way melee.

Ryuu and the Pure Titans fiercely pursued the remaining members of the Rudra Familia. The remnants of the Rudra Familia tried to escape, while the newly created zombies and Dungeon monsters attacked indiscriminately.

In an unnoticed corner of the passage leading from the tenth floor to the eleventh floor, several monster heads emerged, hidden in the mist, observing the chaos.

Looking at the chaotic battlefield, the monsters wore human-like expressions of stunned amazement.

Lyd, Ray, and Gros exchanged glances, seeing the shock in each other's eyes.

As the number of adventurers in the Dungeon decreased, the activity range of the Xenos (Dungeon Monsters with Intelligence) increased. Fels had told them about the War Game, and the curious Xenos ran up from the deeper floors (Floor 20+).

They arrived just in time to witness this explosive scene.
