Chapter 231 - Chapter 232: The Subjugation is Successful, the Rewards are Secured

"Do it!"

The moment Roy's authoritative command cut through the howling wind, Tiona and Tione showed no trace of fear as they leaped down, landing heavily atop the massive, bone-chilling skeletal mass of the monstrous beast.

The summoned Intelligent Titans instantly surrounded the two. They varied in size and appearance, their eyes vacant, all radiating the most brutal intent for destruction.

Based purely on data, these Intelligent Titans of the past had strengths ranging from Level 2 to Level 4.

However, since they lacked intelligence and possessed the fatal weakness at the nape of the neck, they couldn't do anything to Tiona and Tione. Against the seasoned martial execution of the Amazon sisters, they stood zero chance of mounting a successful offensive.

The two Amazon girls charged into the swarm of Titans, going "Musou" amidst the heavy encirclement. Encased within the shimmering multi-colored shroud of Livis Curative that Roy had gifted them, it wouldn't be easy for the Titans of this world to break that defense.

Tiona swung her large dual-bladed weapon, Urga, reaping a vast number of Titan heads like she was cutting grass. Even against the monstrous beast beneath their feet, the large dual-blades could easily slice through its bones. Tiona moved swiftly, and its ribs were sliced off one after another.

Not only that, the special effect of Urga—Severe Wound—was the bane of many Titans.

The severed ribs and the killed Titans bled incessantly from their wounds. No matter how hard the Founder Ymir worked within the "Paths" space to systematically manipulate the primordial clay, her divine self-repair protocols failed to yield a single dividend against the curse.

"Hahaha, this feels great!"

A look of innocent joy appeared on Tiona's pretty face as she swung her blades, killing the surrounding Titans like she was dicing vegetables, her momentum unstoppable.

Tione looked on with extreme envy. Her Silver Moon curved blades were decent, but everything was a matter of comparison. Compared to Urga, they were more than one grade lower. Tione pouted. "Captain, I want a cool weapon too!"

Roy acted as if he hadn't heard. Forging Urga had nearly cost him half his life force; that magnificent armament sat a full half-tier higher than Ryuu's legendary Sprite Glow! Precious materials, inspiration, state of mind, and the perfect timing—all factors were indispensable to forge equipment of that caliber. It wasn't something that could be made just by wanting it.

Tsubaki Collbrande's skill was not inferior to his, and her forging experience was even superior, yet she hadn't been able to forge equipment of the same grade for the same reason.

Seeing the three of them so relaxed and at ease, Eren was undoubtedly provoked. More and more Titans emerged, attempting to wear them down through a war of attrition. Ymir, in the "Paths" space, discovered she couldn't heal the Titans' bodies, so she simply began creating new ones from scratch.

The number of Titans was infinite; they only increased, never decreased.

Watching the fierce battle over there, the people on Paradis Island felt lost and conflicted, unsure of what to do. The military was anxious but had no recourse. If they entered the fray with their current combat strength, it would be no different from suicide, even if everyone charged at once.

Reiner and Bertholdt, who had originally intended to transform and stop Eren from destroying the world outside the island, also stopped. They were shocked to find that Eren seemed to be the one on the losing side—the power of the Founder was being suppressed!

Roy, holding the aerial advantage, made Eren feel helpless. If the divine bull continued to ascend, even the War Hammer Titan's spears wouldn't be able to reach it. It was a total suppression of the Marleyan airships.

"Curse you—Roar!!"

The monstrous beast open its bloody maw, letting out Eren Yeager's roar. Countless spikes grew out of its enormous body. He wanted to seize the two girls to use them as leverage against Roy; it was his final win condition.

Seeing the Titans gradually closing in on Tiona and Tione, Roy frowned. He had originally wanted the two to farm some experience and reach Level 4. It seemed the opponent wasn't going to give them that chance.

Roy roughly understood now. This monstrous beast was more like a "Pseudo Level 7." Its individual combat power didn't reach that level, but with its massive size and endless summoning of Titans, even a Level 6 adventurer would find it very difficult to deal with. Subjugation difficulty didn't necessarily equal the strength of the target, but even so, Roy didn't dare to be careless.

Moo!!

Roy pulled the reins. The divine bull streaked across like a bolt of lightning, weaving through the interior of the monstrous beast.

"—Wyn Fimbulvetr!"

As Roy's chant concluded, hundreds of emerald-green orbs of light emerged around him, shining like the stars in the night sky. The starlight fell point by point, clearing out the Titans around Tione and Tiona. The bombardment shook the area, blowing chunks out of the monstrous beast's kilometer-long frame.

Under Eren's angry and helpless gaze, Roy drove the bull and picked up Tione and Tiona.

"That was refreshing!"

In that short time, the two had killed as many Titans as they could, releasing all their built-up excitement.

"But Captain, solving this thing won't be easy. Do you have any large-scale destruction magic?" Tione noticed the problem. "The severe wound effect of Urga is very effective against Titans, but it's physically impossible to kill all the Titans and this gargantuan beast that way."

Tiona's stamina wouldn't hold out. Roy's Wyn Fimbulvetr was not enough to slaughter such a vast number of Titans; his mental strength had its limits.

Facing Tione's question, Roy gave a confident smile and drew the Spirit Holy Sword from his storage ring—one he hadn't used in a long time. "Come to think of it, you haven't seen this sword yet."

Tione and Tiona looked on with curiosity.

The moment Roy gripped the longsword, the previously unremarkable blade was instantly activated. The rust on its surface receded entirely, transforming it into a peerless weapon. The silver blade vibrated slightly, letting out a crisp, rhythmic hum that resonated deep within the soul.

Tione and Tiona's eyes widened. Even with their limited experience, they could tell that this equipment was of a higher rank than even the large dual-bladed Urga! No—the two weren't even on the same level of existence!

[Activate Weapon Skill: Heaven Burner (焚天)]

Roy took a deep breath and activated the Spirit Holy Sword's special effect. In an instant, it siphoned the energy from within a seven to eight-kilometer radius. Strands of energy manifested into physical form, surging into the blade and erupting into ferocious crimson flames.

The flames entwined around the blade, causing the surrounding temperature to skyrocket. Even the divine bull found it hard to endure.

With his top-tier Level 4 status values, Roy's use of the Spirit Holy Sword was far more powerful than before. More importantly, his target this time was the Founding Titan—a creature thousands of times larger than himself. The Titan Slayer special effect reached its absolute peak!

The item obtained in this world would finally finish off this world's final boss!

Swish!

Roy raised the Spirit Holy Sword high. The crimson flames exploded upward, piercing through the firmament and burning so intensely they formed a flaming sword over a thousand meters long. It was like a pillar of fire connecting heaven and earth.

The flames dyed the dark clouds a fiery red. The entire world grew dim, as if only that pillar of crimson flame remained. Everyone's eyes were locked onto it—the fire of judgment sent down by a heavenly god.

Eren stared upward, his eyes filled with frustration. That was an airspace he could no longer reach. His opponent stood on ground where he could not be defeated.

BOOM!!

With a gentle swing of Roy's Spirit Holy Sword, under the watchful eyes of thousands, the giant flaming blade fell. It first severed the connection between the monstrous beast's head and neck.

Immediately following, the crimson flames hit the ground, letting out a roar like a tidal wave as they spread frantically. Wherever they passed, everything was annihilated.

Under the extreme heat, the massive body of the beast, along with the ancient Titans and Colossal Titans it had summoned, vanished into ash. Nothing grew for over ten kilometers; the entire earth was transformed into a smoldering, scorched wasteland.

Connected through the "Paths," Eldians across the world witnessed this scene. Their hearts were filled with relief—at the very least, they wouldn't be trampled flat by the Colossal Titans.

Deep within the crimson flames, the figure of the Source of all living matter emerged, struggling in agony, its body twisting.

"Why?!"

Eren's shrill, desperate voice rang out from within. Anyone who heard it felt a shudder in their heart, like the hysterical roar of a demon.

Roy's gaze remained indifferent.

The situation in this world was complicated. The Eldian Empire had used the power of the Titans to enslave other nations for two thousand years. A century ago, the "good man" King Fritz, feeling guilty over his nation's history of cruel exploitation, abandoned the majority of Eldians and took a portion of them to live on Paradis Island.

He handed over the vast continent to the formerly enslaved Marleyans, who, predictably, spent the next century confining the remaining Eldians to internment zones and executing them at a whim. Fearing the return of the Titans, Marley desperately developed thermal weapons in an attempt to destroy Paradis Island, forcing Eren to slaughter over eighty percent of humanity.

Everyone was wrong, and yet no one was wrong.

The vitality of the Source was indeed tenacious. It burned for an hour before finally turning to ash.

At that exact moment, the "Paths" space vanished. The mindless Titans across the world reverted to humans. Reiner, Bertholdt, and the others who held the power of the Titans lost their ability to transform and became ordinary people.
