Chapter 15 - Dragon Ball: Reborn As Goku But Why Is Every Woman Chasing Me?! [15]

Chapter 15: Ambush in the Wild

Seeing the entire village trembling as they looked at her, Bulma let out a breath.

He continued, "Everyone, let's focus on the matter at hand."

"Since Oolong has been subdued, we should prioritize rescuing the captured girls first."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"That's right! The lady warrior speaks the truth!"

At that moment, the elderly woman brought the Dragon Ball and handed it to Bulma.

"Young lady, your bodyguard is really impressive. Take this pearl!"

Bulma accepted the Dragon Ball and replied, "Thank you!"

"Anyone who wants their daughter back should follow us quickly."

"Me! Me, me!"

Several old men hurried over.

Soon, a large group of villagers followed them to Oolong's manor.

Oolong was so terrified by Goku's staff strike that he nearly wet himself, not daring to run away halfway.

As Bulma and Goku had expected, Oolong's manor was vast and could be described as magnificent.

None of the girls he had kidnapped had been mistreated—they were all living comfortably in Oolong's estate!

After resolving the Oolong incident and obtaining the Dragon Ball, Bulma and Goku set off on their journey once again.

There was no helping it—Goku's earlier staff strike had been too cool.

She was a bit worried; the villagers here seemed abnormal, actually wanting to offer their daughters.

She didn't dare stay here with Goku.

That pit with Chi-Chi would haunt her for life.

If some young girl managed to trick Goku away, she'd be at a huge loss.

As for Oolong, Bulma didn't bring him along.

A fool who only knew how to transform and was overly lustful—with Goku around, he was completely unnecessary.

Without lingering in the village, Bulma and Goku soon mounted the Flying Nimbus and headed toward Fire Mountain, the location of the sixth Dragon Ball.

A journey that would have taken three or four days by car only required a day and a half on the Flying Nimbus.

If they traveled at full speed, they could actually arrive in half a day.

But the speed was too intense for Bulma's physique to handle.

Her body wasn't as tough as Goku's rough-and-tumble frame, unable to withstand supersonic wind resistance.

As they sped along, Bulma saw mountains and rivers she had experienced in her past life but had overlooked.

The lake surface was as clear as a mirror, their reflections like a golden ribbon freely weaving between the mountain ranges, skimming above the water.

The wind stirred up by the Flying Nimbus created ripples on the water's surface, like a young girl's skirt gently swaying, elegant and captivating.

The shimmering water reflected the mountains on both shores, gleaming like gemstones.

Gazing at the beautiful scenery, Bulma unconsciously let her mind drift.

Only someone like her, who had personally experienced darkness, could constantly discover how truly beautiful the world was everywhere.

After half a day of flying, the two finally left the mountainous region.

They arrived above the desert.

Just as Bulma was about to ask Goku if he still wanted to run ahead, Goku's stomach growled loudly.

Bulma smiled gently.

"Oh my, I completely forgot about eating! Why didn't you say something earlier when you got hungry?"

Goku laughed awkwardly: "I ate so much this morning, and I haven't really exercised today—it feels unreasonable to be hungry already."

"Just say when you're hungry! Besides, it's already noon!"

"We brought plenty of food."

"So, how about we land here and have lunch first?"

"Great!"

Bulma scanned the surroundings and spotted a flat area, shouting: "Flying Nimbus, land over there!"

Soon, Bulma opened the Capsule House and began preparing lunch.

Since Goku was quite hungry, he didn't train.

He just sat on the sofa casually watching television.

Catching a glimpse of Bulma's busy figure in the open kitchen, a faint smile flickered in Goku's eyes.

Bulma was truly a wonderful girl—not only beautiful with a great figure, but her personality was exceptional too.

Born into the wealthiest family, she displayed none of the willful arrogance one might expect from a rich heiress. Instead, she even knew how to cook and take care of him.

Bulma was simply outstanding.

Not only was she highly intelligent, but she also possessed courage and a spirit of adventure. She was kind-hearted, compassionate, independent, and self-reliant.

At that moment, Goku thought of the future Bulma and decisively added the label of "strong woman" to her.

There was no need to overanalyze—she was just too perfect.

Goku reflected on his own circumstances and realized that, in a peaceful world, he would be far from worthy of her.

Since many of the ingredients Bulma had prepared were semi-finished, a lavish feast tailored to Goku's tastes was ready on the table in just half an hour.

"Goku, wash your hands and let's eat!"

"Wow, it smells amazing!"

Goku quickly rinsed his hands, wiped them carelessly, and sat down to devour the meal.

The delightful flavors instantly bloomed on his tongue, and as the delicious food entered his mouth, Goku felt as if his soul were swaying like the exaggerated Whis, floating with the wind.

"Wow, this is so delicious~!"

While Goku was enjoying the steak and bacon, Bulma, with a doting smile, peeled several large shrimp for him and poured a glass of juice.

"Slow down, don't choke. Here, have some shrimp and drink some juice!"

Goku took the plate and the drink. "Mm, thank you, Bulma!"

Bulma curled her lips, pretending to be annoyed. "We're good friends—no need to be so polite with me."

Goku paused for a moment, then broke into a smile. "Yeah, we're good friends. Alright then, I won't hold back!"

"Mm-hmm, go ahead and eat!"

Goku resumed eating heartily.

Watching Goku enjoy his meal stirred Bulma's appetite as well. She picked up her bowl and began to eat too.

Just as the two were happily eating, a sudden explosion erupted, violently shaking their house. As the tremors continued, dust began to fall from the ceiling, instantly covering the unfinished feast with a layer of grime.

"Crack, crack…"

The sound of the building breaking apart continuously reached their ears.

Sensing that the roof seemed damaged and something might fall, Bulma was still dazed, unable to comprehend what was happening. But Goku had already stopped eating and thrown himself over Bulma to shield her from the falling debris.

Sure enough.

The next moment, just as Goku covered Bulma, several bricks suddenly fell, fortunately landing only on Goku's tough, resilient body.

As the beams and pillars collapsed, the Capsule House crumbled in an instant, with rubble and bricks tumbling down, burying both of them in the ruins.
