Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

c003 From Now On, You Are My Maid

As a result, Raditz had almost ripped through his clothes and still couldn't find where Lan Qi's weapon was hidden. Even with his Saiyan scouter-trained instincts, he couldn't detect any ki from the firearms because, as he had already realized during his brief fight with her earlier, the guns Lan Qi used were purely mechanical Earth weapons exactly like the ones she used in the original Dragon Ball manga when she robbed banks or shot at Master Roshi's house, completely devoid of energy signatures.

He had no choice but to turn around and ask Lan Qi, "Hey, woman, where did you get those guns from? I clearly saw you fire them earlier, and you didn't have anything on you."

Only now did Lan Qi understand what Raditz planned to do, but this was completely unacceptable to her! She finally remembered that he had seen her switch personalities before sneezing into her blonde, violent self just like in the manga so naturally he thought the guns must be hidden somewhere on her body.

Just imagine… stripping off the clothes of such a beautiful woman like her, yet not even looking at her body, only rummaging through her pockets like he was searching for contraband. A straight man with terminal wooden-brain disease wouldn't act like this, let alone someone as handsome and arrogant as Raditz.

Women are often such inexplicable creatures.

Raditz showed no interest in her beauty at all, so now she just wanted to provoke him into caring.

Lan Qi didn't cover herself at all just stood there, sneering: "Want to find a gun? You should've said it earlier! But why should I tell you? Didn't you call me a second-hand product just now? Women are narrow-minded organisms, you know."

Raditz frowned, displeased. "Didn't you run off with that Three-Eyes guy? In the manga you followed him and Chiaotzu to train. If that's not 'used,' then what is it? Woman, don't test a Saiyan's patience."

Lan Qi was so angry she almost vomited blood. She jumped up, shouting, "Who told you I eloped with Tien Shinhan? That guy only has martial arts in his eyes! He thinks dumplings are cuter than me! How could I ever be with a training maniac like him! Today you must apologize for slandering me, otherwise I'll never be done with you!"

Raditz blinked. Didn't Lan Qi go with Tien Shinhan? But thinking about it Tien Shinhan was the type who preferred training over romance in the manga. He didn't even react to Launch's advances in canon.

But that had nothing to do with Raditz. Even if he misjudged, a Saiyan would never apologize.

"It's impossible. I've never apologized to anyone in my life," Raditz said coldly. "My patience is almost at its limit. If you still don't tell the truth"

"So what if I don't explain?" Lan Qi walked right up to him, puffing out her chest and glaring. "You won't get any answer from me unless you apologize. What, are you ruthless? I've never been afraid of anyone in my life, old lady Ah!? What are you doing?!"

Raditz was not a patient person, and now that he had already surpassed every Earthling in raw power being far stronger than Piccolo and Goku were at the start of Z—how could he bow to a mere woman?

Before Lan Qi finished her sentence, he grabbed her firmly by the waist, lifted her up as if she weighed nothing, then pressed her over his knee and slapped her hard on the back.

"Ah! You bastard! Let me go right now or I'll never forgive you!"

"I've never been bullied like this before! You're making me really angry!"

"If you have the guts, hit harder! Call your old lady's name together with your surname!"

To be honest, Raditz genuinely admired this woman.

Logically, even a hardened martial artist from Krillin's level wouldn't tolerate such rough handling from a Saiyan, much less a delicate woman like her though manga Launch in her blonde state could fire machine guns and toss grenades without fear.

But aside from the initial yelp, all she did afterward was curse him fiercely. It stopped hurting because she refused to let it hurt blonde Launch's stubbornness and recklessness in full display.

Seeing that the "interrogation" was about to fail and realizing she truly wasn't going to break, Raditz genuinely didn't dare use actual Saiyan force on her. One wrong move and he'd break a human spine. Even he wasn't insane enough to accidentally kill the only woman on Earth who dared talk back to him.

It's not that he loved the beauty, but Lan Qi still wouldn't give in to this level. And Raditz, despite being a ruthless Saiyan, wasn't stupid. If he really broke her, she'd form a deadly grudge, and in that case, the answer he wanted would be even harder to obtain especially from someone like Lan Qi, who in the manga had no problem shooting people she disliked.

Just when Raditz was about to stop, he glanced down and good grief not only did this crazy woman not cry out in pain, she actually had a faint look of enjoyment hidden beneath her blonde personality's usual violence. What kind of derailed development was this? Even Vegeta would probably raise an eyebrow at this.

Suddenly a thought moved in his mind. Could it be… that this blonde version was one of those extreme M types?

"You try harder! Why did you stop? You won't be so weak so soon, right?" Lan Qi was teary-eyed, biting her lower lip, looking strangely fascinated just like when her manga self fired a machine gun at Roshi while giggling.

This directly confirmed Raditz's guess!

However, Lan Qi clearly misunderstood Raditz.

He wasn't slow or uninterested in women; he simply hadn't bothered with such thoughts before. He had lived as a low-class Saiyan warrior under Frieza, where romance didn't matter. But now… even a man of iron will couldn't completely ignore the scene in front of him.

"Are you being stubborn? Then I declare that you will be my maid from now on." Raditz immediately tossed away the idea of searching for a dimensional pocket and flipped the intoxicated Lan Qi over, his Saiyan decisiveness overriding everything else.

"I didn't expect you to be the original one!" Raditz sighed.

He had experienced two utterly different temperaments in one body earlier the black-haired gentle Lan Qi and the blonde, gun-crazy Lan Qi. But it was still the blonde one facing him now, meaning she hadn't sneezed yet.

"You still say things like that now." Lan Qi gritted her teeth, but she couldn't bring herself to truly hate Raditz.

This man was far too strong stronger than Tien Shinhan, stronger than Piccolo from the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, strong enough to crush the Saiyan arc Goku and perfectly matched her crazy temper.

"Okay, I misunderstood." Raditz shrugged lightly, but still showed no intention of apologizing.

But for Lan Qi, this attitude already counted as extremely good. After all, Saiyans weren't exactly known for humility.

"Alright, now you should tell me where did you get those guns from?" Raditz brought the topic back to business.

Lan Qi chuckled and said, "Can't you guess? I actually hid Hoi-Poi Capsules inside my clothes. All those guns came from capsules. This trick is specifically for bluffing people, and you totally fell for it, didn't you?!"

Raditz was slightly stunned. Was that so?

He really had forgotten that this world had convenience capsules something even Vegeta commented on later during his stay on Earth. But if they were capsules, shouldn't they be thrown out with a 'pop' before something came out?

"It's a special type. Just press a button and it works like this!"

Lan Qi got up, picked up the bazooka she had used before, pressed a small button, and the bazooka instantly shrank into a Hoi-Poi Capsule.

Then she pressed the capsule again, and it turned back into a bazooka.

"So that's it!" Raditz couldn't help but laugh bitterly.

He had suspected some kind of dimensional space like the magical items in Kaiōshin Realm, or something like the Room of Spirit and Time's pocket structure. But it turned out to be basic Capsule Corp tech used everywhere in the manga.

"Disappointed?" Seeing Raditz's expression, Lan Qi immediately hugged his arm and said, "Even if you regret it, it's too late. I'm already your woman, and from today on, I'll rely on you for the rest of my life."

Smack!

Raditz slapped her hard on the back.

"Ah! What are you doing!?" Lan Qi shrieked.

Raditz snorted. "Don't misunderstand. You're not my woman. You're just my maid. You have no right to object."

"How domineering!" Lan Qi smacked her lips, but smiled brightly. "But I like you like this. If I'm a maid, then I'm a maid. My dear master!"

This really was a true M-type temperament!

Raditz sighed secretly, but he wasn't disgusted.

After all, receiving one woman with two personalities was like receiving two people at once not something everyone could understand unless they had seen Launch switch personalities in the manga.

"Alright, get dressed and take me to Kame House." Raditz stood up.

"Kame House?" Lan Qi blinked in confusion and asked, "You want to find that perverted old man?"

"The first rule for a maid: obey the master's orders and don't ask unnecessary questions." Raditz didn't bother explaining that he wanted to verify Master Roshi's strength, the Turtle School's techniques, and to gather intel on Son Goku.

"Tch, fine, I won't ask." Lan Qi pouted.

She said that, but her actions were very honest. Even though she felt sore and uncomfortable, she still forced herself to dress and point out the direction to Raditz.

Seeing that she was moving slowly, Raditz didn't push her. He simply picked her up by the waist and flew toward Kame House.

"Ah! You can use the Bukūjutsu too!?" Lan Qi exclaimed.

"I know more than you can imagine," Raditz answered casually.

Lan Qi instantly flattered him, "My master is the strongest in the world."
