Chapter 4 - a gaurdian? or a prisoner?

"you monster! those dolls are alive! they deserve to be free!" Alice hid behind her master as he took a few steps towards the man and looked into his eyes from behind his mask "and? what is it that you want to achieve? that I am imprisoning them?" the dolls surrounded their master, their small bodies clunging onto his clothes as he looked down at them "hmph...see? they do not fear me, I am not their creator, I have simply fixed them and made them my own...ya know ehat they say 'finders keepers'!" the man gritted his teeth and gripped the puppeteer by the collar of his suit "you have no right to treat them like objects!" the puppeteer rolled his eyes and spoke bluntly "but I don't treat them like objects..." he stroked the hairs of two of his dolls and his smile could be seen behind his mask "they are my treasures...my angels...and I made them my own to protect them..." he looked up at the man who took a step away "tell me, who is the real monster? the naughty child who broke the dolls? or the puppeteer who cared for them and made them his own? I might look like the devil, but even the devil can use his wings to cover you from the rain" he snapped his fingers as his workers carried the boxes behind him, and his dolls surrounded him, Alice being the smallest and most fragile one she rode onto his back wrapping her arms tightly around his neck "why does she get that?!" Lucy, another doll, said with jealousy and anger as he laughed softly and stroked her hair "all of you are fragile my dear...and our dear Alice is as reckless as a little cub...and god forbid she breaks herself again, today's show exhausted me so please be careful children...I can't fix any of you if anything happened..." he yawned begging to reach home to rest
