Chapter 52 - Lines That Start to Blur

Aaliyah woke up to an email full of excitement and nostalgia.

A collaboration offer… from Puerto Rico.

A famous producer from the island—someone she had admired since she was a kid—wanted her voice on a new tropical-pop track. The moment she finished reading, she felt her heart warm in a way Italy hadn't managed to do in days.

She smiled to herself.

This felt like home calling.

She hit record, sent a quick demo, and within hours received the reply:

"Perfect. Let's make magic."

For the first time since Dove's disappearance, Aaliyah felt alive again.

Meanwhile… Estrella's heart was a mess.

She sat on the balcony, knees pulled to her chest, staring at the soft lights of Rome. Her thoughts kept circling one person.

Thomas.

The way he looked at her birthday party…

The way he smiled when she danced…

The way he defended her online without saying a single word…

She pressed her hand to her chest.

Was this just admiration?

Or something more dangerous?

Estrella was young, but she wasn't stupid.

She knew feelings could complicate everything around her—especially with the madness happening between Aaliyah, Damiano, and Ethan.

Still… when she closed her eyes, she saw Thomas's face.

And that terrified her.

Victoria, on the other hand, was thriving.

Her DJ event in downtown Rome was packed—lights, smoke, heavy bass shaking the floor beneath everyone's feet.

Fans screamed her name, phones up, flashes everywhere.

Victoria lived for this.

She mixed song after song, owning the night with a confidence only she had.

As she raised her hands and the crowd roared back, she caught Ethan's name trending online from earlier drama.

She sighed.

"God… these boys are going to kill me."

But she didn't let it ruin her moment.

Tonight was hers.

And Ethan… was far away from all of them.

He had returned to Milan for a few days, staying with his family to "clear his head," as he told Victoria.

But the truth?

He needed distance from Aaliyah.

From the tension.

From the guilt of that kiss.

From Damiano's warning glare.

From everything that was spiraling too fast.

In Milan, life felt slower.

He walked by old cafés he used to visit as a kid, listened to his mother complain about how thin he'd gotten, played soccer with his cousins in the backyard.

For a moment… he felt normal again.

But even with all the calm, Aaliyah's name kept flashing in his mind like a warning he couldn't escape.

Back in Rome… the chapter closed with a quiet storm gathering.

Aaliyah recording her Puerto Rican collaboration in the studio.

Estrella unable to deny the feelings growing inside her.

Victoria celebrating one of her best nights of the year.

Ethan pretending he wasn't falling apart.

And somewhere beyond all of them…

Italy was preparing to shake their lives again.

Because feelings don't disappear.

They wait.

They grow.

They collide.

And the collision was getting closer.
