Karl's POV
I handpicked three of our strongest fighters, bringing them straight to Dorothy for her medical clearance on this rescue operation. After she confirmed they were battle-ready, we headed to the warrior Heather's quarters to memorize her scent. The woman carried an interesting fragrance - spicy with heavy notes of patchouli that made my nose wrinkle. Too intense for my taste, but at least I had her sister's scent profile locked in. Looking at Heather, I could see the family resemblance would make identification easier. The woman was undeniably attractive, and perhaps it was our limited exposure to females outside our territory, but her presence stirred something restless in Curtis.
'What's your problem?' I demanded internally.
'Not sure. Let's just locate this girl,' he responded, his frustration bleeding through our connection as he struggled to understand his own reaction.
