Dorothy's POV
Laughter bubbles from my chest as I watch a little boy with Joseph's features racing across emerald grass, his tiny legs pumping as fast as they can carry him. His giggles fill the warm air while his father pursues him with playful determination.
"I'm coming for you," Joseph calls out, his voice rich with joy.
"No way, Daddy!" the child shrieks, stumbling slightly but keeping his balance on those adorable chubby toddler legs. My heart swells as I glance down at the infant cradled against my chest, her tiny mouth working as she nurses. Auburn curls frame her perfect face, but when she tilts her head to peer up at me, familiar brownish-green eyes stare back.
A savage howl tears through the peaceful scene, yanking me violently into darkness.
"Dorothy, move now! We're being attacked!" Joseph's urgent voice cuts through my confusion.
