Chapter 240 - Chapter 240: The Perfect Man, Katakuri!

Chapter 240: The Perfect Man, Katakuri!

Totto Land.

This was Charlotte Linlin's base before she joined the Rocks Pirates.

Her children had always lived here.

After the disbanding of the Rocks Pirates, Charlotte Linlin returned and began bearing children.

In just nine years, she gave birth to ten children, averaging more than one per year.

They were of various races—no one knew where she found the men.

Today – Cake Island.

At the break of dawn, while most of Totto Land still slumbered, a man slipped quietly out of Charlotte Linlin's room.

He was an extremely lanky man—eight meters tall, with six of those meters belonging to his legs.

At the moment, he tiptoed cautiously through empty streets, trembling with every step. He ran into the forest, heading for the shore.

"I finally escaped… That monstrous woman is terrifying!" he gasped, eyes lighting up at the distant sea.

He pulled out a wanted poster and glared at the elegant woman's portrait on it.

"Are the Marines blind? Charlotte Linlin doesn't look anything like the beauty on this bounty poster!"

His eyes briefly sparkled, but his face quickly twisted with rage.

"She's a fat, grotesque witch! That body… that gaping maw that could swallow her own head whole!"

"To use my goddess's picture for that old hag's bounty… disgusting!"

Still running, he muttered, "Good thing I got away. Otherwise, I'd have been ridden to death!"

He shuddered, remembering the mountain-like figure ravaging him relentlessly for ten straight days.

"I need to restock on food and recover."

His once-muscular, elephant-like legs were now skinny, trembling sticks.

"That cursed hag… When I—" He stopped mid-sentence.

As he approached the sea, his face twisted in fury.

The pirate ship that had been moored atop a ten-meter cliff was gone—just black smoke and scorched remains remained.

He dashed to the cliff.

"Who was it?! Who burned my ship?!"

He roared at the sight of his once-mighty vessel, now reduced to charred planks drifting on the sea.

"About time. I waited all night. Now I can finally get some sleep."

A lazy voice echoed nearby.

He turned to see a young long-legged man leaning casually against a rock. One leg crossed over the other, a white scarf covering his mouth—enhancing his perfect image.

"You're a long-leg tribe too, huh?" the pirate asked, frowning. "Why'd you burn my ship?"

"No reason," the youth said flatly as he stood up. "My job is to clean up the men who try to run from Mama."

"You're… Katakuri!"

The long-legged pirate's eyes widened. He had heard rumors—about a boy who hunted down the men who slept with that old witch.

So this was the kid.

A smirk appeared. "You gonna kill me, little brat?"

He had confidence. He wouldn't have come to Totto Land otherwise. Only Charlotte Linlin herself had drained him.

Had he not been so weakened, he wouldn't be sneaking away in the early morning.

Still, to be challenged openly by a brat—

"Think you can do it?"

Katakuri's gaze sharpened. No words. He pulled out a trident.

Shing! Armament Haki covered the weapon.

In one explosive step, Katakuri dashed forward and leapt—thrusting the trident straight for his opponent's chest.

The pirate sneered and covered his long legs in Armament Haki. He raised a foot like a spear to meet the attack.

CLANG! ZZZZT!

Metallic clangs echoed as steel-like Haki clashed, sparks and shockwaves dancing in the air.

"This brat…!"

The pirate glanced at Katakuri's calm expression and firm grip—then down at his own trembling legs.

"This isn't the strength of some eighteen-year-old…"

"Is he another monster like Blue Demon?"

A chill ran through him.

He remembered that other young man—barely eighteen when he left port—and within a year, was fighting on par with monsters like Golden Lion and Whitebeard. Now, he ruled the New World.

No longer hesitating, the pirate twisted his body, using Katakuri's force to vault backward.

His leg muscles tightened as he ran across the air, step by step—each footfall creating sonic booms.

"You think you can outrun me?"

Katakuri narrowed his eyes. His right hand stretched like rubber, launching forward.

Whoosh! Like a cannonball, it grabbed the fleeing man's ankle.

His sprint halted instantly.

"Damn brat!" he shouted, feeling the sticky grip on his leg.

Raising his other leg, he poured Armament Haki into it.

"Die!!" he roared, aiming to kick Katakuri's hand away.

At that moment, Katakuri took one step forward—planting his left foot with a deep stomp—and yanked his arm back with force.

"Mochi Sling!" he growled.

A surge of tension snapped through his extended arm, yanking the pirate back like a slingshot.

The pirate's leg collided with his own other leg—CRACK! Something snapped.

Before he could even feel pain, the force slung him across the sky like a ragdoll.

Whistle—

He crashed into the ground behind Katakuri, carving a crater twenty meters wide, the earth spiderwebbing with cracks.

Shing! Katakuri retracted his arm, crouched slightly, and leapt—BOOM!

He landed beside the crater.

The pirate lay bloodied, eyes dull. He glanced up as Katakuri approached.

"If I hadn't been drained by your mother… If I still had Haki, you'd never have won, brat…"

SHIK! Katakuri silently stabbed his trident through the man's throat.

Blood sprayed. The pirate's eyes bulged in disbelief.

"In my next life… I'm finding the Kidney-Kidney Fruit…" he murmured—then went still.

"All men who disgrace Mama… must die."

CRACK! Katakuri pulled out his trident, flicked the blood away, and stored it back inside his body.

Step, step, step…

He strolled calmly back toward town.

...

"Efficient work, huh."

High above—at 10,000 meters—Luo Han observed, impressed.

He had arrived over Cake Island earlier and, with his vast perception, had immediately sensed Katakuri.

Curious why the young man radiated such hatred and was loitering by the shore, Luo Han had stayed aloft, watching from afar.

He'd just witnessed the infamous "Mom's Man Slayer" in action.

Whoosh! Luo Han descended, cloaked in perfect Armament Haki to suppress all presence.

He quietly followed behind Katakuri.

"What a perfect man—strength and wisdom both."

Watching his back, Luo Han wondered—should he use Bie Tianshen on him? Maybe even plant Charlotte Linlin's aura?

Not for any weird reason—he just didn't want to see Katakuri lose to Luffy later because of "plot armor."

That annoying "unbreakable low-health buff" Luffy always seemed to have—no matter how hurt he was, he'd just stand up again.

No matter how strong Katakuri was, in the end, Luffy's invincibility made him submit.

Luo Han suspected Katakuri had simply given up, seeing that future with his Haki.

He wasn't the only one.

Crocodile, Doflamingo, and others had all been knocked out by that ridiculous plot buff. Only Kaido knew how to deal with it—One clean hit. No games.

Luo Han chuckled to himself. "Anyone who doesn't kill Luffy in one shot ends up losing."

"Only Kizaru and Aokiji have managed to fight Luffy and walk away intact."

"Next time I face him, I'm not hesitating—straight up Thunder Bagua to the face."

As he mused, they reached the town after an hour-long walk.

Katakuri veered off to one side.

Luo Han let him go and began wandering the town alone, his Kyoka suigetsu ability active.

The streets were beginning to bustle, but no one noticed him. People unconsciously stepped aside when he passed, unaware of his towering figure.
