Chapter 243: The Logia Cloud-Cloud Fruit User
Arknight Island.
Just after noon, the central lake shimmered under the sun.
Since its arrival, the Penguin had remained anchored on the lake.
On the deck, Luo Han reappeared after teleporting back from Charlotte Linlin's territory, accompanied by his three new pets: the thundercloud Zeus, the flame Prometheus, and the water spirit Pandora.
"Sea God, go play in the lake for now. I'll take you to the open sea later."
As Luo Han gave the command, he lowered the floating water orb into the lake.
"Okay, boss!" the water spirit, whom Luo Han had named Sea God, responded cutely.
Splash! The moment Sea God touched the water, it became ecstatic, shaping itself into various forms like a child playing with a new toy.
"Heh…" Luo Han chuckled at the sight, then turned to the small flame. "Sun God, go ahead and enjoy yourself in the sky. Just light up and radiate at night."
"Got it, boss! Hee hee!" Sun God cackled like an old mAnne and flew into the sky, basking happily in the sunlight.
Finally, Luo Han's eyes settled on the thundercloud.
From Charlotte Linlin's three homies, he had renamed them: Thundercloud became Thunder God, the fireball Sun God, and the water orb Sea God.
"Boss, boss! What should I do?" Thunder God asked in a timid but eager voice.
Luo Han hesitated.
He was holding a white, pineapple-shaped Devil Fruit in his hand. It had black swirl patterns outlining various cloud shapes.
This was the Logia-type Cloud-Cloud Fruit, a rare power representing one of nature's most common elements—clouds. Luo Han had found it on Bikka Island when he retrieved the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.
He had simply stumbled upon both Fruits lying in a dirt mound—no ancient temple, no sacred vine. Just… lying there.
At the time, he'd felt like a true protagonist.
He gave the Rumble-Rumble Fruit to Akatsuki (Red Moon) and had planned to feed the Cloud-Cloud Fruit to Zeus—now Thunder God—once he acquired him.
But now, Luo Han hesitated. Would Thunder God still be immune to Armament Haki once he became a Logia user?
After all, as a pure elemental being, Zeus couldn't be harmed by Haki. But if he gained a Devil Fruit body, would that vulnerability return?
Also, the synergy with Akatsuki's lightning abilities would be immense—just like Enel's devastating powers in the original timeline.
Maybe… he should let Akatsuki decide.
With a thought, Luo Han summoned Akatsuki via the Mind World.
At that moment, she was helping develop the Fishman commercial district on "Dream Island"—a name the Fishmen had given it themselves.
Whoosh! Suddenly transported to the Penguin, Akatsuki blinked in surprise.
"…You could at least give me a heads-up," she muttered. "I was in the middle of a meeting. Saud and Alab probably think I vanished into thin air."
"Haha, my bad," Luo Han chuckled. "Here, take a look at this Fruit."
He handed her the Cloud-Cloud Fruit.
"What for?" she asked, puzzled. "I can't eat another Fruit anyway."
Then her eyes turned to the fluffy white creature circling her like a puppy.
"What is this cotton-ball thing?"
"That's Thunder God," Luo Han explained, "formerly known as Zeus, from Charlotte Linlin's crew."
"But… I've never seen him before," Akatsuki said. "And he looks nothing like I imagined."
Indeed, the current Thunder God looked like a big marshmallow—twice the size of a basketball, complete with a drooling face.
She recoiled slightly, and the little cloud happily followed, brushing against her shoulder affectionately.
"He seems to really like you," Luo Han smiled. "Maybe it's because you're both thunder-based. Your Lightning-Lightning Fruit probably attracts him."
Akatsuki soon understood. Yes—shared elements. Synergy. It made sense.
"So… what's the Fruit for?" she asked again.
"I was debating whether to feed it to Thunder God," Luo Han admitted. "The synergy would be immense. But if I give it to someone else, maybe they could serve as your support."
"Cloud-Cloud Fruit…" Akatsuki's eyes sparkled.
The combination of lightning and cloud powers? The possibilities for area attacks were endless.
But then she frowned. Being paired with some stranger constantly… no thanks.
"Luo Han, how about letting Thunder God follow me?" she asked.
"You can just get another one from Charlotte. She can 'give birth' again, right?"
Luo Han raised an eyebrow. "Give birth, huh?"
Clearly, Akatsuki had strong feelings about Linlin.
"Fine," he nodded. "Thunder God will be yours."
And yes—if he wanted more homies, he could just go get them.
"Alright," he decided, "Thunder God will eat the Fruit."
"But can he?" Akatsuki asked. "I mean… is he even considered a living thing?"
"…Good question."
Luo Han scratched his head. There was no known method for non-humanoids to consume Devil Fruits—especially not sentient clouds.
Maybe… Vegapunk?
He made a mental note to have Sora collect information on Vegapunk later.
What Luo Han didn't know… was that Thunder God, curious and childlike, had already inched closer to the Cloud-Cloud Fruit.
He sniffed. It was the most delicious scent he'd ever encountered.
Without hesitation—Gulp! Thunder God swallowed it whole.
"…"
Akatsuki and Luo Han both blinked.
Then they burst out laughing.
"Well, that settles it," Luo Han said. "Let's see what happens."
Moments later, Thunder God began to grow rapidly—expanding into a massive 100-meter-wide cloud above the Penguin.
Luo Han and Akatsuki floated beside him.
"Did it work?" Luo Han asked, unsure. The Fruit's aura had disappeared, but Thunder God's presence didn't feel much different.
Akatsuki, however, nodded confidently. "It worked."
"I can feel it—like he's become a part of me. The resonance between our powers is real."
"Thunder God, how do you feel?" Luo Han asked.
But before the cloud could answer—
BOOM!
He shot into the sky like a rocket, soaring 5,000 meters up.
Within minutes, black clouds blanketed all of Nightless City. Lightning crackled through the sky in a terrifying display.
"What's going on?"
"Isn't this supposed to be a summer climate area?!"
"Those lightning strikes—are we under attack?!"
Inhabitants of the city panicked, unsure of what the storm meant.
Boom! Crash! The scene looked apocalyptic.
Whoosh! In an instant, AEllis and Aishi appeared above the Penguin.
They looked up to see a colossal face forming in the storm clouds—black with eyes and mouth glowing violet-white.
"That's the one you got from Linlin?" AEllis asked.
"Yep," Luo Han confirmed. "Name's Thunder God now."
"It's… that strong?" AEllis narrowed her eyes. She could feel the power to wipe out an entire island.
Akatsuki grinned. "He just ate the Cloud-Cloud Fruit."
"LOGIA?!" Aishi shrieked. "You gave such an amazing Fruit to a cloud?! Not me?!"
"…I didn't think of it," Luo Han said, flustered.
"Hmph!"
"Looks like Luo Han needs to find Aishi a Fruit," AEllis teased.
Akatsuki smirked. "Yeah. We all have one but her."
Luo Han turned. "So… what kind of Fruit would you like?"
"I… I don't know…" Aishi mumbled.
The group fell silent.
Typical Aishi .
They all looked back at the sky.
Thunder God was stabilizing.
In just one minute, the black clouds retracted and turned white again.
He shrank to a more manageable size and floated back down—right into Akatsuki's arms.
