Chapter 246: The Incoming World Destroyer
Penguin Deck.
Luo Han returned, and AEllis and the others were still there.
"So what did those underworld folks want with you?" AEllis stepped forward to ask.
"They wanted to recommend someone for the position of administrative governor. I agreed," Luo Han said with a smile. "This way, we won't have to deal with all the day-to-day headaches."
"Who is it?" Akatsuki asked.
The three women were curious. The role of governor in Nightless City, though intended to reduce Luo Han's responsibilities, carried significant power—especially among the regular pirate factions. Over time, that power and prestige would only grow.
Eventually, this governor might even become a trusted ally, and for that to happen, the choice mattered deeply.
"It's, uh…" Luo Han's eyes flicked sideways. "According to Sora, she's an older woman. Fair amount of administrative experience."
"A woman…?" AEllis and Aishi both raised their brows, shooting Luo Han a sharp look.
Gulp. Luo Han felt a sudden chill. He quickly added, "But mainly, they said if I allowed her to take the position, they'd pour all their resources into developing Nightless City."
He smiled awkwardly. "Sounded like a good deal… so I agreed."
AEllis and Aishi still didn't look happy, but they let it go—for now.
"If there's nothing else, I'll return to Dream Island," said Akatsuki.
She wasn't concerned about Luo Han expanding his harem. She was a later addition herself and didn't feel qualified to intervene. Aishi , on the other hand, might have reason to speak up.
"Wait," Luo Han called out. "Leave Thunder God here. I'm taking him to Sky Island."
Sky Island? Sky clouds?
Akatsuki gave him a look, quickly guessing his motive.
"Alright," she said, then transformed into a bolt of lightning and disappeared.
Luo Han watched as Thunder God stared after her longingly. That little guy really did prefer her company.
If not for his absolute loyalty to Luo Han, he'd probably ignore his master completely.
"Sky Island?" AEllis 's eyes lit up. "Take me with you!"
"Sure," Luo Han smiled.
"And you?" he turned to Aishi . "Wanna come see the sky too?"
Aishi glanced up at the sun and shook her head. "I'll go prep dinner. You still haven't eaten. Just make sure you're back before mealtime!"
"Got it!" Luo Han and AEllis answered together.
Then with a flick of Luo Han's will, the two of them and Thunder God vanished.
Watching them go, Aishi chuckled and headed toward the hilltop square.

Sky Island.
Above the shrine, near the enormous vine trunk, three figures blinked into existence: Luo Han, AEllis , and Thunder God.
"You collect seeds here," Luo Han told AEllis . "I'll take Thunder God to Angel Island to study the sky clouds."
"Alright." AEllis nodded and reached out to touch the vine, beginning her communion with it.
Luo Han and Thunder God flew off toward Angel Island.
When they reached a patch of Sky Cloud, Luo Han pointed.
"Try creating something like this."
"Okay, boss!" Thunder God flew forward and chomped down on a chunk of cloud.
His plump body rippled, and then his cloud form began to subtly densify.
Luo Han floated up and pressed a hand into Thunder God's form.
"This… is Sky Cloud!" he said with excitement.
That meant he wouldn't need the Golden Lion anymore. They could implement floating island tech in Nightless City right now.
Sky Cloud could be used to create floating islands—or sky bridges connecting different islands.
And with his telekinetic solidification ability… a fantastical floating city unfolded vividly in Luo Han's mind.
"Let's go find AEllis , then we can start testing things back home."
He and Thunder God returned to the vine's summit.
AEllis was still communing with the vine, glowing with green light.
By the time Luo Han arrived, the seed hadn't yet emerged. Maybe the vine was being stubborn?
"Doesn't this thing lack awareness?" Luo Han mused. He couldn't sense the vine's mind like he had with the Sun Tree Eve.
"Ah—there it is!" Luo Han whispered.
The spot AEllis was touching began to shift. With a gentle bulge, a green, oval-shaped seed dropped out.
She caught it and turned to Luo Han with a smile. "Got it."
"Great! Let's go home," he grinned.
AEllis nodded—her mission was complete.

Nightless City Region.
The first 1–8 islands AEllis planted were closest to the ring current—about two kilometers out.
Later, she added ten more, evenly spaced in a wide ring around Arknight Island. These were numbered 9–18 and floated fifteen kilometers from the ring current, about twenty kilometers from the central island.
When Luo Han, AEllis , and Thunder God returned from the sky, they landed above the sea between Islands 9–18 and Arknight Island.
"Can the vine grow in the sea?" Luo Han asked.
He'd had an idea: grow a vine as massive as the one on Sky Island, and use Thunder God to create disc-shaped Sky Clouds to embed at intervals.
Layer by layer, they'd form a floating vertical city, just like in the old Skypiea.
If the vine could grow underwater, he could bring that dream to life.
"I'll give it a try," AEllis said. "If not, I'll modify it with my ability."
"You can modify seeds?!" Luo Han was shocked.
He'd thought her powers were just plant growth and healing. Now it seemed she could genetically enhance seeds to survive in sea environments—like the Yarukiman Mangroves.
That was a game-changer.
"Of course I can," AEllis smiled, pulling out the vine seed.
Just as Luo Han enveloped them both in a telekinetic shield to submerge—
BOOM!
A deafening blast rang out. Luo Han frowned and turned his gaze.
With a sweep of his mental perception, he found a ten-meter-wide shell screaming toward Island Four—where Tuck, Stussy, and the underworld bosses were still meeting.
"Was that… a cannon shot?"
Just as someone said this, a shadow fell over the gathering.
They looked up—and froze.
"What the hell is that?!"
The shell they'd seen a moment ago had expanded into a thousand-meter-wide projectile midair.
"That's the Moa Moa Fruit's ability!" Luo Han muttered, recognizing it instantly.
He enveloped the massive cannonball in his telekinesis—
BOOOOOM!
A blinding explosion erupted midair above Island Four.
To those watching, it looked like a thousand-meter-wide sun had appeared in the sky.
"That direction…"
"Is someone attacking Island Four?!"
"Who the hell dares attack Nightless City?!"
The construction workers and pirates throughout the islands were thrown into chaos.
Over on Island Two, Gourmet City, Cole's spherical body shot out of his fortress and zipped toward the blast zone.
ZAP! A bolt of lightning heralded Akatsuki's arrival beside Luo Han and AEllis .
"What happened?" she asked. "Where did that attack come from?"
She hadn't seen the shell grow midair—if she had, she'd already know.
"That old rival of yours," Luo Han smirked. "Let's go greet him."
