Chapter 2: The Main God Space is Way Too Cliché

"Alright, the Main God's recruitment quota for today should be full. This is probably the last one."

The leader waved his hand, and the other men in black lowered their weapons, chatting idly as they wrapped up.

"There aren't any others, right? People these days are way too incautious. Every single one of them thinks the Main God Space is just some fun game."

"They all think they're the protagonists of light novels. The careless ones end up dead."

"This newbie's quality isn't bad, though. Let's go eat Yakiniku tonight to celebrate!"

"Don't raise a death flag here."

The men in black left the classroom in groups of two and three. It wasn't until they completely vanished from Kyū Bunken's line of sight that everything around him returned to normal. Time began to flow once again.

Just as Kyū Bunken began to suspect he had hallucinated the whole thing, the computer screen erupted with blinding light. Then, an irresistible force dragged Kyū Bunken forcibly inside the monitor.

The surrounding students ignored Kyū Bunken's screaming, as if absolutely nothing had happened.

What Kyū Bunken didn't know was that the moment he entered the computer, the time in his world froze once again.

Kyū Bunken woke up from his coma. Squinting his eyes slightly, he realized he seemed to be lying on the ground.

This place... he could be certain it wasn't his university.

There was no brick flooring like this at his school. Although he attended an average university, the school wasn't poor enough to not afford paved cement.

Had he been transported somewhere else by someone, or some force? There seemed to be other people lying around him. Kyū Bunken didn't know who they were or what they wanted to do, but he had a guess in his heart.

If what happened just now wasn't a hallucination, he had likely entered the cliché "Infinite Flow" scenario—the ever-present Main God Space.

If his guess was right, this was the first world he would have to experience.

However, it was better not to stand up rashly. Since there were several other people lying on the ground, he shouldn't be the nail that sticks out. He decided to play dead on the ground for a while longer, observe the situation, and see if he could overhear any useful intelligence.

If there were any immediate danger, it likely would have happened while he was unconscious.

Playing dead, Kyū Bunken remained motionless. After a while, the people around him seemed to wake up one after another.

"Hmm? Where... where is this?"

The confused voice of a young man rang out.

"Who are you guys?"

The person asked again.

"Why aren't you talking? Do you know something?"

Seeing no response, the young man anxiously questioned another person.

"I don't want to waste my breath. We talk when everyone is awake. Now, shut up!"

Hearing this menacing male voice, Kyū Bunken, who was still face-down on the ground, felt a jolt of shock.

This guy spoke up out of nowhere and actually scared him.

Why did he have to shout so loud?

Organizing his thoughts, Kyū Bunken made a rough deduction: there was at least one person who knew the situation and was watching over those lying on the ground. Furthermore, this person seemed fierce and likely difficult to get along with.

Continuing to lie there, Kyū Bunken wanted to let more hot-headed idiots jump up and ask about the situation first. He would stay on the floor, taking the time to calmly analyze and avoid being scammed.

Unfortunately, the next three people who woke up—two women and one man—didn't ask for any useful intelligence either.

The only thing he could determine was that their voices all sounded young.

Could he have fallen into some variant of a multi-level marketing scheme? Or perhaps an organization trafficking young people to use as cannon fodder somewhere?

It was unlikely, but hard to say for sure. There was too little useful information. If he kept lying here, he wouldn't hear anything more, so... he might as well keep lying there.

Let's try that 'Scrub Chat Group' thing again.

If he really could connect to a chat group via his consciousness, the authenticity of this whole situation would increase significantly. If he couldn't connect...

While squinting, Kyū Bunken had already taken a rough look at the path ahead. Although looking at the road while lying prone was tiring, he had already planned a barely viable escape route.

He wasn't tied up, which gave him plenty of room to operate.

I want to log into Line?

He shouted the phrase in his mind, but there was no reaction.

HandsomeGuy_Accidentally, requesting battle?

Still no reaction.

These people were too irresponsible, weren't they? Not even giving him a login method?

Where is the Chat Group? I'm a new member! Didn't you say I could connect with my consciousness? Has the holy F2 key abandoned me?!

"Oh, oh, my bad, my bad. I was in a rush to clock out just now and forgot to tell you the connection method. You just have to think about entering the chat group."

Just as Kyū Bunken was planning to get up and make a run for it, a voice appeared in his mind, instantly revitalizing his spirit.

It seemed... the authenticity was quite high. But he still needed to observe. Could someone have hypnotized him?

That possibility existed. Although Kyū Bunken felt he was just an ordinary college student with nothing worth hypnotizing, anyone with a healthy body could be targeted by people with ill intentions.

Maybe the real him was currently lying on an operating table in some back-alley clinic, ready to have a kidney harvested. If that were the case, he needed to wake up from this hallucination fast.

I want to enter the Chat Group.

Following the voice's prompt, he thought this thought in his mind. Immediately, he felt his consciousness enter a chat interface.
