Thank you Liam, I said to him feeling so many emotions all together. Liam has always made me feel this way, I really don't know how I would have been coping without him. Honestly, he is one of the reasons behind my confidence. We talked some more before dropping the call.
DYLAN'S POV
When I found out about Liam's doing this morning I was upset. I have overlooked his relationship with that girl but if this is how it's going to continue then it must come to an end. All the servants retracted their steps as I stormed down the stairs. Liam walked in from outside, he greeted me and was about to go upstairs when I called him back. Stop there! Where are you coming from? The anger in voice should be very evident because he halted immediately and turned towards me.
I'm coming from a friend's place, he answered.
What friend's place? I questioned him.
Am I not allowed to have friends again? he questioned back.
Don't you dare answer my question with a question, you know we're a secluded entity yet you go about flaunting my power unnecessaryly, this should be the last, if you try it again you won't like my reaction, I warned him angrily.
I'm really unfortunate to be your son, he said and turned to leave.
You have no choice, I shouted behind him and looked up to see my wife standing on the railing. I turned and left the house followed by my assistant.
What do we do about the girl, my assistant asked me.
Leave it for now, we don't need to push him too far, I replied.
VINCENT'S POV
After I left Tamara's apartment the last time, I have been trying to organize myself and concentrate on work but the girl's drama is never ending. It's just the next day and she's already causing trouble although not directly. When I saw the viral video, I knew it was fake so I had to check my CCTV cameras to know what really happened. After organizing the real footage, I was hoping that she would come to me for help and I even told the security team to direct her to me if she comes to them. I waited the whole day but she never showed up throughout the whole buzz.
In the evening, commotion erupted in front of my company. This incident alone was enough to relieve her of her job for being the reason for the disruption of the company's peace. But I was ready to defend her. I was standing by my office window watching the scene when I noticed something or rather some people in the crowd. They were shouting and making noise like every other person in the crowd but they were standing in a circle, soon they disassembled and began to leave the crowd. That's when I saw the guy lying on the floor. I called Mose's attention immediately and he went into action. Mose is my personal and closest bodyguard, he's always around me. The guy that was lying on the floor was stepped on a few times before they finally noticed him. Now it looks as if the crowd had injured him but I saw everything from my office which is at the top floor of the company. An ambulance arrived and took the guy away and it was discovered that he's one of the company's employees. Tamara didn't come out as the commotion kept on increasing with the crowd now boldly demanding for her to be fired. I was planning to step into the case when she finally showed up and headed to the gate. I literally became scared in her place but thankfully, she didn't leave the gate. She actually came prepared and solved the issue in no time. When I saw the original video she released, I knew it wasn't from the CCTV, so how did she get it.
The following day I'm yet to settle down after arriving at my office in the morning when James came in with the latest update. Honestly these days have been so troublesome and hectic.
Boss, Zander and his family have refused to speak the truth and there's no way we can send the thugs in without Zander and his family's testimony, James said, making me feel a headache coming on.
Zander is the boy who was injured yesterday. Mose has caught the thugs and we can easily send them to jail but the people we are fighting for have refused to comply.
I think they have chosen money over justice because we found out that they received $300,000 yesterday from the same account that transferred money to the thugs, James explained.
Who made the transactions? I asked him.
Miss Harris' assistant, he replied. I think Miss Harris must have found out about your relationship with Miss Hayes and she's now trying to drive a wedge between you two by escalating the situation and getting her fired. The whole commotion was caused because of Miss Hayes, not to talk of the fact that it is a case of adultery and then a person's life was put into danger thankfully he didn't die. If Miss Hayes couldn't clear her name then this is going to be a big taint to her image and the company will definitely not tolerate such a personality, he added.
I sat still looking at James as he analyzed the whole issue while I pondered on it. If this is true then Tamara has become a target for the Harris family.
I will call you back, I said to James as I wanted to be left alone for some time.
