The corruption bolt struck Zork squarely in the chest, despite Rick's outstretched hand being several meters away.

Rick had never witnessed an explosion quite like this one. It was far from the anticipated detonation of a dying corruption beast or even the Titan's final breath.
This was catastrophic.
The explosion resembled a tsunami of pure evil, unleashing a wave of dark purple energy in all directions. Rick felt it hit him like a wall, knocking him off his feet and sending him flying backward.
His body fell through the air and hit the ground with such force that it knocked the wind out of his lungs. "Gaahhhh...!"
Demons were being thrown around him like ragdolls. Hundreds of warriors, some of whom were twice as heavy as Rick, were thrown across the training grounds. The noise was deafening, a mix of the blast and the screams of everyone who was caught in the wave.
