Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Edited Prologue

Yuto was a little surprised.

In his opinion, the thing in front of him was like a store, and all the goods inside were one-time limited purchases.

Under normal circumstances, once the goods on the shelves are sold out, they are either restocked or replenished.

And the current situation is that the shelves are empty but the goods have not been replenished.

"It seems… this thing should have a follow-up."

"What will happen next? God's Retainer? God's Heart? Archon? Descender?"

Thinking of this, Yuto gently shook his head; for him, these matters were still a bit too early.

What he needed to care about now was to figure out to what extent his remaining 500 popularity points could change his plot.

Just like that, Yuto thought while looking at the panel in front of him, which was not much different from a game mall, and then he unhesitatingly chose "Main Storyline Adaptation".

The next second, one by one, plot interfaces appeared before him.

Looking at the highly representative plot segment covers, Yuto felt some of his fading memories gradually resurfacing.

"But… why is only one block a normal color, and the rest are all gray?"

Yuto was a little puzzled for a moment, but he subconsciously reached out and tapped the only colored plot cover, which was the first one.

As Yuto clicked, besides Clorinde, another person appeared beside Furina, who was originally standing at the gate of Fontaine to welcome the Traveler.

That was himself.

In the original plot, Clorinde stood on Furina's left, and Furina's right side was empty.

"I remember… in the original 'setting,' Neuvillette didn't come out because he was in court, and this work had nothing to do with him."

"But it's different now. As the Assistant Administrator of Fontaine, I have a responsibility to meet foreign envoys… Uh, if a person like the Traveler, who causes chaos wherever they go, can also be considered an envoy…"

Thinking of this, Yuto gently shook his head, as if wanting to expel that utterly absurd thought from his mind.

After slightly appeasing his inner critic, Yuto refocused his gaze on the altered plot cover.

Yuto in the cover stood below Furina's high platform, holding a staff.

—He and Clorinde standing next to Furina looked like two door Gods.

One was tall and provided a sense of security, while the other was not only big but also capable of fighting.

However, the composition and such were beside the point; the key was… although this plot segment was the only one currently selectable, it was the Traveler's first stop in Fontaine.

If he could have a good opening performance, and be very different from the seriousness shown in the PV…

Perhaps his popularity could rise quite high.

Thinking of this, Yuto couldn't help but nod and sincerely applauded his own genius.

"As long as I can appear more in the main and side quests, it means I have more opportunities to shape my character."

"A better character means higher popularity, and this will be my policy for future actions."

Thinking of this, Yuto couldn't help but nod, unaware that this very thought… led Yuto's character in a rather strange direction later on.

Of course, these are all later stories.

Yuto focused his attention on the Electro Vision, which had unexpectedly been neglected from the beginning.

As the light screens in front of him gradually dissipated, the only remaining light in front of Yuto was the Vision, quietly lying on the table, emitting a soft purple glow.

He carefully held the neglected Vision in his hand, blinked lightly, and said:

"My… 'wish' is similar to 'eternity'? I don't even know what I want, and this panel just gave it to me directly?"

Yuto gently shook his head, having no strong feelings about it.

He quickly accepted this setting, carefully hung the shimmering purple Vision at his waist, and then nodded gently.

"It's not surprising, after all, Clorinde is Furina's guard… her Vision is also Electro, so this isn't a difficult problem to explain."

Thinking of this, Yuto involuntarily yawned, then rubbed his eyes tiredly, looking completely exhausted after the initial excitement had worn off.

"Never mind… since it's come to this, I should sleep first…"

Yuto stood up, stretching, and naturally walked towards his room.

It's worth mentioning that his resting place was only separated by a wall from Furina's own room.

It's no exaggeration to say that if he wanted to, he could knock on the wall at any time and have a short chat with Furina on the other side of the wall.

Of course, he would never do something that would spoil someone's good dream; he considered such a thing too immoral.

Amidst such somewhat perplexing thoughts, Yuto had already arrived at his bedroom door.

He quietly opened his door, then thoughtfully glanced at Furina's room, and gently sighed.

"Have a good dream, my God."

With that, Yuto pushed open the door and entered his room, falling completely asleep almost as soon as his head touched the pillow.

Although by his current age… he was no longer young, he still had to say—

—It's good to be young; you fall asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow.

The night passed uneventfully.

Yuto slept exceptionally well last night, perhaps due to the tempering of elemental power, or perhaps because he had stayed up late the previous night.

After all, having a regular routine of over four hundred years suddenly interrupted… no one could bear it.

Yuto unhurriedly got up and washed, tidied his long blue hair slightly, and then headed to his office.

Before the Traveler arrived, his every day would be spent in this manner.

Looking at the mountain of documents piled on his desk, no trace of impatience or any other emotion appeared on Yuto's face.

Only pure calm.

"Speaking of which, since the PV has been released, is that humanoid walking disaster simulator also arriving in Fontaine soon?"

Yuto thought this while skillfully picking up the quill pen from his desk and beginning to work.

However, before he could even write a few decent documents, the door to his office was once again "bang"ed open.

"Yuto, Yuto! That golden-haired Traveler is coming to Fontaine!"
