Chapter 22 - Eula's Complaints

Lisa truly lived up to her reputation as a rare genius; after absorbing some of the knowledge, she had begun to understand the application of formations.

"With formations like these, the safety of Mondstadt City will be elevated to another level," Lisa said excitedly, also looking at Yun Han with a particularly complex expression. No wonder Jean wanted to recruit him; someone with such capabilities was someone you absolutely couldn't afford to make an enemy of.

"Lisa? And, are you the newly appointed honorary deputy captain of the Knights of Favonius?"

A surprised voice suddenly came from behind them.

Yun Han and Lisa turned around to see a figure with an equally imposing physique walking towards them, wielding a greatsword.

She was clad in a knight's attire that was both crisp and elegant. The middle of her black jumpsuit featured a thin strip of fabric, and a white lace short jacket was fastened over it with chest straps.

Her forearms were protected by metal armor under double flared sleeves, and she wore a pair of black gloves with blue palms. A double-layered cape draped over her right shoulder, with a white-to-yellow gradient inner layer and a blue outer layer.

Her Cryo Vision was pinned to the feather trim on the front of her shoulder cape. She wore high-heeled thigh-high boots with black leather belts reinforcing the inner thighs, and silver spurs on the heels.

Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Team Captain — Eula Lawrence.

"Eula? What are you doing here?" Lisa asked.

"I should be asking you that. I was clearing out some Monsters over there when I heard a huge commotion. I came over and saw you. What are you doing here?" Eula walked over and said.

"We're... experimenting with a new type of weapon," Lisa said, unconsciously looking at the land.

"A weapon?" Eula followed her gaze, and what met her eyes was a desolate piece of ground.

"That's quite a bit of power. Don't hurt anyone," Eula gasped.

"Who's around in this wilderness? Even if someone was here, nothing would happen with me around," Yun Han said without a care in the world.

"Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Team Captain — Eula Lawrence, greets the Deputy Captain," Eula had noticed Yun Han long ago and gave a knight's salute.

"Alright, alright, enough. I don't like this. There's no need to act like you're greeting your boss when you see me. Just call me Yun Han." Yun Han waved his hand, a headache already forming from the impact this title was having.

"Oh? You're ignoring my salute? I'll remember this." Eula said instinctively.

"Yun Han, don't mind her. Eula's just kidding," Lisa explained, worried he might take Eula's words to heart.

"It's fine, I don't mind. Her strength is quite good," Yun Han naturally understood the subtext of Eula's words.

"As a qualified knight, strength is naturally a must. You don't need to tell me. I'll remember this." Eula was secretly happy that someone acknowledged her strength, but she still spoke awkwardly.

"Oh? Since you're so confident, shall we have a contest?" Yun Han said, smiling at her.

Lisa, standing beside him, immediately knew he was up to no good, but she didn't say anything. Letting Eula experience his strength was also a good thing for her.

"Oh? You want to compete with me? What do you propose?" Eula was just looking to test the level of this suddenly appearing Deputy Captain.

"It's simple, we'll compete on the number of Monsters killed, using the dropped masks as proof. We'll have an hour, and the final meeting point is still here," Yun Han said.

"Don't you regret this," Eula said confidently.

Eula then hoisted her greatsword and left. She found it strange that Yun Han didn't move, but didn't pay much attention and went to find Monsters.

Unbeknownst to her, Yun Han opened a portal after she left, taking Lisa everywhere. When they encountered Monsters, he just slapped them to death, killing hundreds in a short time.

Lisa, who had witnessed Yun Han's monster-killing efficiency, was now indifferent. She was already numb, and even felt a little sorry for Eula.

An hour later, when Eula returned with her greatsword, she saw Yun Han still in the same place.

"This is the number of Monsters I killed, 137 masks," Eula wiped the sweat from her face and threw a bundle on the ground.

"137? That's a bit few," Yun Han said with a smile.

Eula was about to retort, but the next moment, her jaw dropped.

She saw Yun Han open a spatial gate in mid-air, and a large pile of masks tumbled out. Without counting, it was clear there were several times more than Eula's.

"This... this is impossible, how did you do it?" Eula was in disbelief.

"Eula, I saw it with my own eyes. These were indeed dropped by the Monsters he just killed," Lisa explained from the side, looking at Eula with sympathy.

This child, I hope she doesn't get shut down from this.

Seeing Lisa's testimony, Eula understood that Yun Han was not faking.

"To think I lost, I'll remember this grudge. Say it, what do you want me to do?" Eula finally conceded.

"Okay, no problem. It proves you still have a lot of room for improvement. As for the losing side, then treat me to a drink at Angel's Share," Yun Han didn't make things difficult for her, just said with a smile.

"Just this? You look down on me? Humph, I'll remember this grudge." Eula said, a look of haughty pride on her face.

"Alright, alright, just remember it then." Yun Han shrugged.

Then the group started heading back. Since Eula wanted to clear out any Monsters they encountered along the way, Yun Han didn't open a portal.

Even though Yun Han told her that he'd already cleared out all the Monsters within a few dozen kilometers, Eula insisted on walking back, saying it was to prevent any stragglers from escaping.

Yun Han was helpless and had to follow. Lisa didn't have any objections.

On the road, Eula was grumbling to Lisa in the back: "This guy, he killed so many Monsters in such a short time. Is he even human?"

Lisa smiled wryly and said, "At least he still looks like a human on the outside, but you shouldn't treat him like an ordinary person."

Actually, Lisa was right. Yun Han had already undergone tribulation and become an immortal, so he really wasn't an ordinary person anymore. He was a celestial being, and even his physical body was now a celestial body.

Along the way, Eula actually didn't encounter a single Monster. She even saw some still-burning pots in a few Hilichurl camps.

While putting out the fires, Eula realized that these Hilichurls probably didn't even have a chance to fight before they were wiped out. Her respect for Yun Han's strength turned into reverence.

"Just so you know, I can drink a lot," Yun Han said with a grin, looking back at Eula.

"Hmph, I also have quite a bit of Mora," Eula said, unconsciously touching the not-so-full Mora pouch on her body.
