This story follows Lucifer Morningstar, a young, orphaned survivor in the hyper-dangerous, merged Marvel and DC world of Gotham City. He is a reincarnated engineering student who has spent eighteen years waiting for his power to manifest.

The narrative begins when a "Money System" finally activates, setting his first goal: earn 100 credits. The system promises that everything can be bought with enough money and unlocks the ability for Lucifer to see an item’s value and danger level.

Lucifer, who works as a low-rank Bronze Delivery driver, immediately accepts a rush job for $100 to the Wayne Mansion. 

At the pickup location, the system reveals the package is a Kryptonite Package worth 5 Billion Credits and carries a "Batman Level" danger rating. Recognizing the immediate threat, Lucifer refuses to steal it, prioritizing survival over wealth.

He successfully delivers the package to Alfred Pennyworth (who the system reveals has a surprising A-60 Hidden Potential threat level). 

Alfred rewards Lucifer with the initial $100 payment plus a massive $1,000 tip for expediency, pushing Lucifer’s funds past the initial goal.

This triggers the System Upgrade, unlocking the Store System (with absurdly high prices) and a Free First Purchase.

 Lucifer chooses the most practical low-level item: the Tier 0 Force Field Generator. 

The shield is initially useless, described as being as sturdy as a plastic bag, but it possesses an Adaptive Upgrade perk: constant use and focus training will increase its level, duration, and sturdiness.

Lucifer sets his sights on the next monumental upgrade goal: 1,000,000 Credits, which will grant him a second Free Purchase and more system functions. Knowing he must get stronger first, he focuses entirely on upgrading his shield.

He begins rigorous training, using the shield constantly during a subsequent Bronze delivery job. During this job, he gets stuck in a dark alley with a flat tire and is immediately ambushed by two thugs with pipes. Activating the Tier 1 Force Field (which he trained up while driving), the shield barely absorbs one full-force pipe swing—feeling like a strong shove—before instantly collapsing. The brief protection allows him to escape.

By the end of the night, after continuous focus and activation, Lucifer successfully upgrades his ability to Tier 2, increasing its sturdiness to that of thin plywood and slightly improving its duration and cooldown. 

He is now ready to pursue the massive $1,000,000 goal, one Bronze delivery job at a time.
