A man whose name we conviently know as Maru was walking down the streets of a city
after work when he got ran over by a truck
He died and found himself in a black empty void. He was floating with no thoughts until a creature called God appeared before him and gave him a chance to reincarnate in a world of his choice.
Maru being an absolute idiot chose the anime world of Naruto to reincarnate in without even thinking about the pros and cons as Naruto was the last anime he was watching before being unalived.

The scenes transitions into a big classroom filled with eager child soldiers. The teacher or as all know him as Iruka-sensei can be seen shouting at a blonde brat
"UZUMAKI NARUTO! This is the third time you are giving the genin exam! Have you no shame!?"
"Don't worry Iruka-sensei I will definitely pass this time and become the hokage"
All the other child soldiers openly laughed at him. It was at this moment , a soul from another world entered into the body of one of the child soldiers.
'Ah! It seems my conversation with that God-like being was not a mere figment of my imagination but it had actually happened. Though did that bastard have to send my soul at this time. He didn't even give me any system or something'
Iruka already being used to Naruto's antics ignored it and shouted"Everyone stop laughing. We will now begin the final part of genin exams."
One by one the child soldiers came onto the front and did the demonstration. There was no need for the physicals and written examination as it was done the week before.
Maru saw Sasuke and all the other relevant characters doing it with great precision.
Other than Naruto's poor err.....amazing failure of an attempt on clone jutsu,all others were successful
Even Maru was able to successfully do the presentation due to retaining memories from the past of the body. He learnt he was an orphan with no specific background like the author wasn't even bothered to think about his character beyond his name.
"That's all. Tommorow I will assign you all 27 your Genin team"
All the passed child soldiers were excited except Maru as he knew only 9 were going to pass the real gennin test, so his only hope was to join the genin-corps.

Maru found it hard to believe but with night approching and him having a test the next day he decided to sleep early but not before flipping the system off.
