Only two days remained until the beginning of dungeons. For Ray most of his past month had been spent resting and going through details about their targets, but with no surprise there was so little information about any of the three.
Rose and Kaine, with some other students, had made a squad for the dungeons, trying to get some experience on a real battlefield. Yelena had her squad too.
With all of them busy with their own preparations, Ray had stayed alone for the past week.
"This movie really sucks." He muttered to himself. He had no real hobby, so to spend some time, he had decided to go to a theater and watch the latest hit on the list.
In the quiet VIP room, his voice echoed, and all eyes were focused on him; all the main actors of the movie and the director had sat behind him with a bunch of producers.
Ray lost all hope in the movie; taking out his phone and reading some news was the action he took to forget about the whole plot.
"Mr. Kurosawa, it's not polite to work with your phone in such a small room." A woman told him with a quiet voice.
He didn't care to look at the person behind the voice. "You are right, I'm better off leaving."
"Wooww, this movie is awesome." All eyes turned toward the front seat; a girl with purple hair eating a big box of popcorn slowly turned around to face them.
"Heeeyy, it's Ray Kurosawa. I'm your biggest fan." The girl jumped from her seat and ran toward Ray.
"Yeah, I'm leaving." He moved to the nearest exit door.
In the white hall, the girl's voice reached his ears again: "Wait... Wait..." Her breaths could be heard from across the room. "Can we take a selfie?"
"Who the hell are you?" He turned around to face the girl; she was way shorter than him, around 160 centimeters, with short hair and big purple eyes.
"I'm Ely; I am the one who started your main fan page." She took out her phone to show Ray a page with 10 million followers. She puffed her cheeks. "How is it that you don't know me even?"
Ray didn't even know that such a thing existed on the internet. "Why should I know?"
With her hands she showed a heart to Ray and said, like she was singing, "Ely, number 1 idol on earth."
He sighed, "What is an idol?"
"What? Whaaatt?" The look on Ray's face told her that he was not joking. "Let's just say I'm very famous."
"Ok, can you take your picture and leave?"
"Can I ask another question before that?" Her heart showed no sign of listening to Ray.
"One last question; after that we take a picture and you leave me alone."
She jumped from excitement and asked with a smile on her lips, "Who is your true lover? Your ship with Marian is already the most famous ship on the internet, but I never shipped you with her! You know, you know I always thought that something about her didn't fit you, and don't open my mouth. Yelena Blackfire, she put your life in danger; she doesn't deserve to be your partner at all! Tell me. Tell me."
"Now, that's interesting. Whatever I say to her, I'm pretty sure that in an hour the whole world will know about it." He smirked; a sudden opportunity came out of nowhere.
"Can you keep it a secret?"
"Yes, yes."
"I have a big crush on General Alexanderia."
Ely's phone fell from her hand on the ground; Ray had never seen someone's eyes grow so wide.
"I'm certainly not going to tell that to anyone. Certainly..." She moved to his side instantly, pushing their bodies together.
"Let's take the picture."
Her boobs were rubbing against his chest as she took her finger to her lips and took a selfie with him.
In the picture Ray was with his usual calm expression, but blushes were visible on Ely's face. "Can I have your number too?"
"No."
"Come on. I can give you advice on how to hit on her."
Ray sighed once more, "Ok, I don't check my phone that much either."
"Hooray." After changing numbers, Ray could see her social pages; her followers were at least 2 billion.
"Gotta go; call me if you need any help." She returned to the VIP with long steps.
"I should go home and sleep too."
After an hour Ray found himself in his room with some sticks from his favorite restaurant; he picked up his phone to check the news.
The first article was just as he had expected:
The military is the place that the most romances take shape.
Idol Ely has proven that Ray Kurosawa has a crush on General Alexanderia.
"Really? This lame?" Ray scrolled through the many articles that were already saying there were partners.
"They can fit together, but I'm pretty sure that General will reject him."
"How is that loser in contact with our Ely?"
"Marian and General Alexanderia are best friends; it's going to be a spicy triangle."
The last comment already had 100k likes.
"She had an official account; she had probably seen it." Before Ray could search for more, a message popped into his system.
"There will be three Cardinals from the military and two from underground. The total number for our dungeon will be around 3000 people."
With her mind magic, gathering such information was as easy as drinking water.
"What is your plan?"
"First we kill the ones from the military; all three are level 5. After that I craft Stardust; the rest shouldn't be a burden."
"See you."
If he were alone, he would have never gone on such a mission, yet with Katarina by his side, killing a few Level 5s on the way was possible.
"Gotta fire up the rumors." With his phone, he sent a message to Alexanderia:
"Good luck in the upcoming dungeons, General."
Before he could leave out the phone, a notification came from her: "Good luck on your recovery too."
After that he went for some light training; his body needed to be at its best performance.
