Chapter 65 - A fake Demon

"What do you mean that he will kill our entire bloodline?"

"That's a prophecy told by the strongest seer in the world; I don't know it either. That's why I have summoned only five of you."

At that time, Victor didn't believe in his ancestor's words. How can a person with the weakest magic against them kill them all? But now his idea had changed.

When both of them attacked Katarina at the same time, he sensed the uncertainty in her movement, the fear of being defeated. However, that man called Ray was different; he fought like he had no fear of death.

"I will make sure that you die, if it means sacrificing myself in the process." He roared at his calm opponent.

"Instead of talking, act." Ray smirked; a vampire without its heart was like any other target for him.

From the blood river next to him, a new figure rose with his exact same features as him. Ray gives it the Ashbringer; with a few thoughts, he could control it to be his defense.

Both of them charged toward Victor, his hands turning into long claws as he blocked Orcus and Ashbringer at the same time.

"Center of the world."

A white eye opened in his forehead.

"Eye of the storm."

Winds around them into a tornado with Victor at the center of it, all the magma and blood fused in air around him, destroying all of Ray's magic. The gravity was not strong enough to pull Ray, but his clone got dragged and melted into nothingness.

"His two pieces of equipment work together perfectly; not bad." Ray flew back as the tornado absorbed more and more magma. "But he is blind too."

In a second, Ray was proven wrong, as Victor started to run toward him.

"Oh, he sees with the sound." Ray retreated as Victor followed his trace.

Their battle turned into a game of Victor running after Ray and never getting him in the range of his fire.

"My equipment doesn't use this magic; we can play this game until the dungeon ends." He laughed, for Ray getting out there and being known meant certain death.

Ray stayed calm as all of his thoughts were elsewhere; a crazy idea had taken shape in his mind.

Dark crystal's pure form was hell flames; as such, white crystal's pure form was heavenly ice, but unlike dark flames, heavenly ice had no effect on the real world; it only existed on a spiritual level.

"This should work."

A white crystal broke in an instant above his head; glass like ices grew out of it. They glitched as they started to get pulled into the tornado. Magma had no effect on them; both of them coexisted at the same time.

Victor was surprised by the sudden speed of Ray; even the most experienced crafters in the underground couldn't be compared to his speed. "What the hell is he doing?"

But he could only watch as Ray added more and more white crystals to the tornado. "Now the main ingredient."

Ray threw Ashbringer at the tornado, followed by ten dark crystals, opening the doors of hell into the mix; the number of white crystals outnumbered the dark crystals.

After so long, his mind had made a weak connection to Ashbringer; although it was not a magical weapon, it had taken some traces of his personality.

Ray's mind invaded the simple thought that the scythe had: killing. Like a parent raising his child, Ray raised the thought by giving it more fuel.

"Thanks, without your help, I couldn't do this." Using the tornado as a pot, he started to draw everything in there to fuel Ashbringer's killing intent.

Victor wanted to deactivate his equipment, but it was too late; with a fascinating speed, all the magma and spiritual magic in the tornado had vanished, and only air remained.

On in the air, Ashbringer's new form shined brightly; its metal base materials had changed completely, a scythe made out of ice, with burning flames trapped inside of it.

Ray summoned it in his hand as he read the description:

Weapon: Ashbringer

Rarity: legendary

Passive: Increase experience gained by the owner by 20%.

Level: 1 (0/3)

"Not bad, just as I expected." His biggest way of reaching to kill more was to level up, so the weapon had taken his biggest desire as its passive.

Meanwhile, Victor could only watch; the crafting of a magical weapon was only described in tales, but now he had just seen it with his own eyes.

All of his will to fight back left his body; against such an enemy, he had no chance.

Ray dismissed Ashbringer into her soul; although it was useful, compared to Orcus, it fell flat.

He took long steps toward Victor; in his face accepting defeat was visible.

Ray said with a disgusted tone, "None of you are true demons; that's the face you make when you are about to die? Pathetic."

He didn't wait for his answer; Orcus cut his hands, and a blood bubble surrounded his body, taking him into a coma.

The fight was over, but Ray felt disappointed; none of the individuals in the dungeon were a real demon to satisfy his hunger for a fight to the death. His most intense fight was with Viper, but at that time he was rather weak too.

"A true demon's heart is not shaken by death or fear. All of you are just liars, not even entertaining me." He laughed at the blood bubble. "From your family a true demon shall rise; I can't wait to see him."

He checked the other fight; it was nearing its climax too. Ray sat on a stone, waiting for Katarina to finish her task.

"It really worked. In my previous life I never experimented with creating weapons, but now this time, if I make mythical weapons for support, my power shall surge to the sky." However, he knew the price for making a mythical weapon had to be insanely high.

For a weak legendary weapon, he had used 40 crystals, yet the possibilities were endless in his mind.

A sudden idea came to his mind: "If Katarina can craft Stardust by her Cardinal brains, maybe, just maybe, I can craft a weaker version of it."
