"Took you long enough."
Ray always knew Orcus was different from other weapons; it had a soul of its own. They had talked and become friends in his previous life. But even the crimson star didn't show that much intelligence, with its rarity being higher.
Ray laughed at the voice ringing in his head, "How was life with elves?"
An ancient answered, "Boring."
"I thought so." Ray felt a sadness in his heart. "I figured it out."
"It's clear in your heart." The voice became louder, "I miss you; it's an unfortunate destiny that we can't ever see one another."
"Why me?" At that moment, it became sure that the one who found him was Orcus, not the other way around.
"Becuase, I think you will see it in my place. Blood angel... It exists. The edge of the world." The voice carried a weight behind a human's comprehension.
If Ray had to list the mysteries of the world, a place that behind that the universe didn't exist would have been his number one.
