Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 — Tension in Shadows

The vehicle stopped after about 200 meters due to a puncture in the tires. So the three of them went to an old building nearby to find someone who could help them.

But they also had to be careful of Selene. 👀

The corridor was silent except for the faint sound of the girl's soft breathing. Feriha clutched Eric's hand, their fingers intertwined almost instinctively.

Ravihan trailed behind them, silent, his mind a storm. Seeing Feriha so close to Eric, laughing softly with him, made something twist uncomfortably in his chest. 💥

It's not just concern anymore, he realized. It's jealousy.

He shook his head, forcing himself to focus. Selene was still out there ; waiting, manipulating. He couldn't let his personal feelings compromise her safety.

Eric glanced over his shoulder, noticing Ravihan's tense expression.

"Ravihan… it's fine. She's safe with us," he said, voice calm but firm. 🔉

Ravihan's jaw tightened. "I know," he muttered, though his eyes never left them.

"I just… don't like seeing her depending on someone else."

Feriha felt the tension but didn't fully understand it. She squeezed Eric's hand and whispered, "We need to focus. Selene could strike at any moment." 😑

The hallway ahead was lined with shadows. Each one seemed to move on its own. Feriha's pulse quickened.

From the darkness, a soft laugh echoed. Selene.

"Ah, jealousy," her voice purred through the walls. "How deliciously human. You all care… so much. I wonder who will break first." 😅

Ravihan's fists clenched, and Kian tightened his grip on Feriha's hand.

Feriha looked between them, realizing the dangerous dynamic forming ;one of trust, one of protection, and one of complicated, unspoken emotions. ✊

Selene was counting on it.

And the worst part? Feriha knew she couldn't stop the game… she could only survive it. 😥
