Chapter 9 New manga artist is submitting his debut

"Holy Light Protection"

"Constitution Enhancement"

"Agility Boost"

The Fallen Angel's skills appeared on him. Kamiya Yu looked at his character panel; all attributes had increased by more than a little, almost catching up to level 50+ attributes... The Goblin corpses on the ground slowly disappeared, and golden light erupted from Kamiya Yu's game character.

Ding!

Your level has increased to fifty. Please complete your first job advancement as soon as possible. Excess experience will be retained in the experience bar. You cannot level up before job advancement.

"Hey, Worthless Warrior, you're level fifty now, right? Let's go do the first job advancement quickly; I can't wait."

The Fallen Angel in the team channel was urging him anxiously. Looking at the Fallen Angel's message, he felt like she was more excited than him, even though he was the one who reached level 50. He checked the time and casually replied,

"It's a bit too late today. Let's stop here and come back tomorrow."

"Job advancement also requires completing a job advancement quest, which takes quite a bit of time."

"Alright, Worthless Warrior, remember to come tomorrow! Don't stand me up, or I'll PK you offline."

Kamiya Yu, in front of the screen, felt a tightening in his heart as he read the Fallen Angel's murderous words in the game. He had a feeling she would really find him if she got serious.

[It must be a delusion...]

"Definitely... I'll be there tomorrow night."

Kamiya Yu quickly typed his reply.

After a while, he said goodbye to her and logged off at light speed.

"I seem to have gotten lazy these past few days. I haven't even done my daily exercises, sigh."

Kamiya Yu sighed as he looked at his lower abdomen. Upon closer inspection, there was a bit of fat on his stomach, but his muscles were still well-developed.

He used to complete three exercises every day: push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. He would do a hundred of each to maintain his physique.

[This is simply the training method of the protagonist from the previous book, Qiyu. It's not too much for the author to keep some private goods, is it?]

After finishing his daily workout, he took a cold shower and went to bed to fall asleep.

When the first ray of morning sunlight shone into the room, the piercing light made Kamiya Yu get out of bed and start his day's work. Today's task was to complete the third chapter and send it to Shueisha DJ Headquarters in the afternoon.

"A beautiful day begins with work."

At his desk, he worked with both hands, constantly drawing on the manuscript paper. He wrote the beginning of the third chapter: Marina's Kingdom. Then, his pencil continuously rubbed against the paper, perfectly depicting every event.

At night, Shizuka took Charlie out for a walk. Charlie was a sheepdog. A familiar figure appeared at the street corner nearby—it was Marina, who used to bully her.

"Still out so late? You're just like your mother, a flighty woman."

Marina twirled her long golden hair, walking step by step towards Shizuka, her voice constantly low and heavy.

"I've been thinking for a long time, how can a parasite like you, who relies on someone else's father, be qualified to raise a stinky dog?"

"Hey, answer my question! You parasite."

Marina walked up to Shizuka, a slight smile on her lips, and swung her right hand to slap Shizuka's face.

Kamiya Yu's pencil slid rapidly, quickly depicting Marina's ferocious expression in the drawing.

"Woof, woof!"

Charlie barked frantically. The dog leash slipped from Shizuka's hand, and he charged towards Marina.

Shizuka noticed Marina's expression not far away, her eyes slightly narrowed and smiling, as if her plan had succeeded.

"No! Charlie, don't bite people!"

"Help! I'm being attacked by a dog! Someone, quickly come and catch it!"

Marina hugged herself tightly, showing a frightened expression. Passersby not far away rushed forward to restrain Charlie, preventing him from getting close to Marina.

"Wait, no... Please, don't take Charlie away," Shizuka's eyes streamed with tears, and she choked, trembling.

"Shizuka-chan is crying, so let me help Shizuka-chan."

octopus p, beside her, pulled out his happy camera, rewinding time back to the first time he took a photo.

"We need to change our walking route," octopus p suggested to Shizuka, feeling guilty... It failed for the 25th time. Why? Why did Marina-chan purposely come to see Shizuka-chan, knowing she would be bitten by Charlie? It would hurt to be bitten by Charlie. Humans are so hard to understand!

Seeing Shizuka-chan's distraught expression, octopus p quickly comforted her: "You must believe me, I will definitely make you smile even brighter than the sun!" (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

...The 101st time, Shizuka, covered in bruises, sat on a bench in the town health clinic like a lost soul.

Kamiya Yu used thick brushstrokes to express Kuse Shizuka's desperate expression, contrasting the character herself with the environment to further highlight Kuse Shizuka's pain.

"A dog that bites cannot stay in town," her mother said impatiently beside her.

"I'm going to send Charlie back; after all, he's what that guy left behind."

"Also, I'll apologize to that girl's mother... Honestly, that woman is difficult to deal with!"

Shizuka's mother walked outside, and as she stepped out the door, she turned back and spoke in a cold tone.

"By the way, wearing fish mint on your head, don't you think it's embarrassing?"

[The fish mint was transformed by octopus p using an item, making others think it was fish mint.]

Kamiya Yu paused his pen halfway and went out for a trip. After all, he needed to buy today's lunch, as he planned to stay home all day to complete his submission.

Returning to his desk, Kamiya Yu picked up his pencil and continued drawing.

Inside the classroom.

"Hey, parasite, aren't you going to apologize to me? Your dog bit me, and you have no apology at all?"

Yumemizaka Marina leaned one hand on Shizuka's desk, speaking with a very pleased expression.

Shizuka's face was gloomy, and she said nothing. Higashi Naoki, the class monitor beside them, spoke up to dissuade her: "Kimusaka-san, we're going to the music room next period. It's time to go."

Hearing this, Marina had no choice but to give up and walked out the door.

"If there's anything I can help with, anything at all..."

Before Naoki could finish speaking, Shizuka had already walked out the door.

For the last 35 pages of the third chapter, Kamiya Yu's pencil slowly depicted the characters, and the "shashasha" sound continuously echoed. The outlines of two people appeared in the drawing: Yumemizaka Marina and Kuse Shizuka.

He stood up, stretched, and relaxed his wrists. Soon, he heated up the lunch he brought back from the family restaurant and ate it. In the afternoon, with Kamiya Yu's revisions, time steadily passed.

As the last stroke fell, Kamiya Yu muttered to himself, "That's about it. Time to print and submit it. After all, I don't plan to send out the original manuscript; for safety's sake, I'll keep it at home."

Shizuka sat on a bench in the town health clinic.
