Chapter 14 - Prep before the Jump

The next few days were some of the most relaxing times I had felt since this whole conspiracy started. No more troubles besides the potential Hyde that may run amok when we head to the next world. I'll have to chat with the sheriff before leaving this world.

Nevermore went through its days as usual after that whole fiasco. Nothing was told to unrelated students to not cause any panic. Anyone who was informed was thankful to the three of us wiping Crackstone and his descendant from the face of the Earth.

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of unexplained horrors still lingering in this world but my time here has come to its end. Many more worlds still await me to explore and many more mysteries to uncover.

The day was going well so far until I saw the sheriff walking towards the principal's office. From the looks on his face, I'm guessing Tyler got loose when he wasn't looking. I also head to meet with Principal Weems to see if my guess is correct. Opening the door, both the sheriff and Principal Weems stopped talking and looked towards me.

I closed the door behind me before looking over to the sheriff and said, "Looks like you're having a terrible day, sheriff. Did something or someone get loose?"

Sheriff Galpin started sweating as soon as he heard my words.

Words couldn't escape his mouth before his shoulders drooped down and muttered weakly, "Tyler escaped. Please spare my son. He's the only family I have left."

I looked at the sheriff with pity and sighed, "I will still live up to my promise I made that night, sheriff. But I will bring him back to life to be by your side. He will not die in a sense as I will tie his life with yours. So as long as you live, Tyler lives. Principal Weems knows my method and I will be leaving "Rowan" over here at Nevermore to reside as well. His parents and family can visit him and still have some semblance of normality."

I proceeded to summon "Rowan" and ordered him to protect Nevermore and strive to become stronger as well as enjoy his family time here in this world. "Rowan" agreed and walked over to Principal Weems in full view of Sheriff Galpin. Principal Weems was grateful for the entrustment of security of Nevermore.

I looked over to both the sheriff and Principal Weems and continued, "I should get going. After all, I have a Hyde to hunt. Don't worry sheriff, I'll bring him back to you."

I left the principal's office and was about to Shadow Exchange to Tyler's position but Wednesday and Enid found me. Enid ran towards me enveloping me with hugs while Wednesday took my arm holding me close. My soft gaze was seen through by them and felt my heartfelt sincerity. They both looked at each other and grinned in turn at their success.

I looked over the two and asked, "What's going on, you two? You look like you planned this. If you did, I quite enjoyed it."

Wednesday answered my question, "We thought you would enjoy this type of affection and it turns out to be a success. You will receive this from us more in the future. I believe Enid has more ideas but I will discuss with her more."

Enid chimed in, "Mhm! Mhm! Mhm! Wednesday's right. I wanna give you plenty of kissies and cuddles and all that but Wednesday might do all those but more privately. Sooo more surprises in the future!!"

Speaking of surprises, I told Wednesday and Enid that Tyler got loose and I needed to clean him up before he starts rampaging. Wednesday was worried for me but she knows in her heart that her man can take care of it. Enid was just nodding to my explanation.

They know better what I am capable of. They both strived to become stronger so they wouldn't hold me back. Wednesday will try mastering more of her skills in swordsmanship and archery while Enid will try to fully "wolf out" during the next full moon and be more deadly with her claws.

Looking at the two girls' determined looks, I bid them farewell before locking on to Tyler's shadow. I contacted the Shadow Knight observing Tyler in the dark.

"My King, Tyler is currently hiding in an abandoned church north of Nevermore," The Shadow Knight telepathically reported.

I acknowledge the information and prepare to Shadow Exchange to the location. After arriving near the abandoned church, I summoned the Shadow Knights to surround the church to prevent Tyler from leaving. I will take matters into my own hands this time. I summoned my dagger and walked inside.

I yelled, "Tyler, I know you're in here. Looks like you got away from your dad's prison. You know, you really shouldn't have left because now I gotta kill you. I made a promise to your dad I wouldn't kill you if you just stayed by his side. But no, you just had to run away."

Step after step echoed inside the church as I was approaching the altar. No answer from Tyler from my taunts.

Looking up at the cross and asked, "Hey JC, wanna help me a little here?"

While I was talking to the cross, Tyler in his Hyde form stormed towards me with claws ready to impale my body. Unfortunately, I noticed his murderous intent as soon as he acted, giving me time to sidestep as he hit the church benches instead.

I sat down on one of the benches with one of my legs resting on the other and continued to taunt, "You know, I really thought you would've learned your lesson when I cut off your arm a while back."

I sighed in disappointment, "I guess your brain is already messed-up when you freely murdered those innocent people."

I held my dagger pointing it to Tyler before dashing to his side and landing a kick to his left side. Tyler flew and hit a stone pillar collapsing said pillar in the process.

Tyler got up and roared in defiance while I twirled my dagger before I threw it in one of Tyler's thighs embedding it. He roared in pain before pulling the dagger out and once again tried swiping at me. This time I ducked and punched straight, breaking his sternum with an audible click.

Once again, pain was all Tyler felt as it finally led him to regain some sanity back into his mind. He began to revert back to his human form begging for mercy while he bled on the spot.

I shook my head and stated, "Sorry, all out of mercy."

I used Ruler's Authority on the dagger before I sent it straight through Tyler's heart, ending his life. I retrieved the dagger back to the Shadow Storage and moved closer to Tyler's corpse.

I extended my hands and muttered, "Arise."

Tyler's shadow gradually stood up from his own corpse before kneeling in front of me. I told him to stay in my shadow before I leave you with your father. I grabbed Tyler's corpse before chucking it inside the Shadow Storage as well. I dismissed the Shadow Knights outside and Shadow Exchanged back to Nevermore.

It took no more than two hours to complete the "hunt" before I returned. I went straight to Principal Weems, where Sheriff Galpin was waiting for the eventual confrontation. Both of them looked at the door opening to see me with no wrinkles or damage seen on my body.

Sheriff Galpin rushed to me and held me by the shoulders and hurriedly asked, "Where's Tyler? Is he.. Is he...dead..?"

I only said, "Yes."

As soon as the sheriff heard those words, he shoved me away before reaching for his firearm. Several Shadow Knights grabbed the sheriff, restraining him from further action.

I dusted off my shoulder before continuing, "You didn't let me finish, sheriff. Why don't you say hi to "Tyler" yourself. After all, he'll be by your side as long as you live."

I summoned "Tyler" to stand in front of his father. "Tyler" had a look of guilt on his face as the madness from his Hyde-self had been washed away when he was resurrected as a shadow. Memories from when he was alive flashed back when he was resurrected as he felt shame and guilt for the atrocities he committed. He would do his duty by protecting his father by his side for atonement.

Sheriff Galpin looked at "Tyler" with anguish but sort of relieved that he would no longer hurt anyone because of his Hyde-self. He called out, "Tyler, is that you?"

"Tyler" answered, "Yeah, dad. It's me. I'm sorry for lying to you. I just.. I just couldn't control myself after Laurel woke my Hyde-self. I'm so sorry. Those people's deaths are in my hands."

He looked at his shadowed hands as if they were stained in blood.

Both father and son were talking their hearts out to each other while me and Principal Weems were just watching the scene.

I looked over to Principal Weems and said, "There shouldn't be any more threats in the immediate future. I should also inform you that I will be leaving after this semester is over. I want to properly thank you for all the hospitality you have given me even though I may have been a weirdo when you first met me in front of the school gates. So I instructed both "Rowan" and "Tyler" to protect Nevermore when I leave. Once again thank you, Principal Weems."

I bowed to her expressing my thanks.

Principal Weems was shocked to say the least but she smiled and replied, "You're very welcome, Mr. Ashborn. Your presence was most welcomed. Thank you once again for protecting Nevermore and its people. Your departure will be missed."

Both Sheriff Galpin and "Tyler" finished their talk while me and Principal Weems were exchanging pleasantries.

I commanded, "Tyler, you will be bound to your father and watch over him. Additionally, you will guard Nevermore and its students as a way of atonement for your madness before. I will not take any refusal in this matter. If you do, I will dismiss you and you shall truly be dead."

I looked over to the sheriff and continued, "I believe this would suffice for you, Sheriff Galpin. I hope there will be no more unforeseen accidents regarding your boy. I was gracious enough to bring him back. Don't make me regret this decision."

Sheriff Galpin nodded and promised to keep everything in check in regards to "Tyler" and Nevermore. Everything seems to have been resolved so I excused myself and left to wander Nevermore.

Walking around the Quad, I see the students still minding their own businesses in their own little cliques. Never knowing their lives could've been ruined a while ago. Well this tranquility is also good. Ignorance really is bliss. I think about the supplies I'll be needing to stock up since the day of this world's departure is slowly approaching.

I walked around Nevermore in a daze before Enid spotted me. She snuck behind before hugging me. It snapped me out of my stupor before looking down at the arms coiled around my waist.

I chuckled as I figured who it was and said, "You got me, Enid. Having fun?"

Enid hummed softly, "Mhm~ Wednesday is writing her novel so I thought I'd give her some alone time. I wanted to find Yoko but I found you instead~"

I turned around and held her cheeks before giving her a little peck.

I continued, "How thoughtful of you. Anyways seeing as you're here, help me think of supplies to grab so I can stock up before we leave this world. I already planned to "borrow" supplies from the nearby military bases as well as go east to find a shipyard both for luxury and for combat purposes. So some stationery supplies such as toiletries and clothes. So if there is anything specific you need, just let me know. Also can you let Wednesday know as well so I know what she needs."

Enid's smile bloomed as I thought of everything for them and replied, "I'll think about it and write them down. Don't worry about Wednesday, I'll let her know as well."

Enid tiptoed and kissed me as I reciprocated her actions. We continued for another five minutes while also taking some time to breathe in between intervals. We separated with reddish blush staining our faces. As much as I wanted to continue, we had to separate as we were garnering some attention from the onlookers passing by.

I told Enid I will be going to procure those supplies tomorrow from the military bases so I will probably take a few days before returning. I basically spent the whole afternoon with Enid before we went to the cafeteria to grab some food. I offered to cook for our share so the chefs agreed.

I made three batches of Cheese-Feathered Hanetsuki Gyoza with sides of rice and miso soup. For dessert, I made a Chocolate Covered Checkerboard Cake for us. I finished cooking and thanked the chefs for letting me use their kitchen again. I put our dinner to my Shadow Storage and headed up to Ophelia Hall with Enid to meet up with Wednesday.

We opened the door only to see Wednesday still writing her novel and Thing watching on the side. Thing noticed us immediately but I put up my finger to my lips indicating to Thing not to disturb Wednesday's concentration.

I laid out the food on the table and set the cutleries. The scent of the food quickly filled the room as the wonderful scent woke Wednesday from her concentrated writing. She turned around from her seat to see me smiling and waved at her to come eat dinner with us.

Wednesday could only smile at her lover's dedication for both her and Enid's wellbeing. All of us sat down and began taking bites of the gyoza. The moment they took their bites, the crispy texture of the chicken skin bursted in their mouth as the stuffing inside made their mouths water. Every bite was filled with mouth watering flavour of umami.

They ate the rice along with the miso soup as they finished their food. Both Wednesday and Enid enjoyed every bite of the food as their faces were covered in a hue of red. I quickly told the girls to relax a little so they have enough space for dessert. Wednesday looked shocked as well as Enid as she saw the Chocolate cake I made earlier in the kitchen.

Enid almost jumped in excitement and asked, "Can we get it now? Can we? I reaaally to taste that cake. It looked sooo good~!!"

Wednesday looked over to me in anticipation, "I want to eat some cake, Mi Amor."

Wednesday's eyes looked like a cat pleading for treats from its master.

"They both look so adorable~! I shouldn't tease them too much," as I thought in my mind.

I revealed the decadent Chocolate Covered Checkerboard Cake. The mere sight of it made the two girls excited as it looked so mellow and sweet as if crafted from a castle made of chocolates. I took a knife and sliced a piece for each of them and handed it to them to taste.

They both grabbed their plates filled with cakes and cut off a piece before putting it on their mouths. The chocolate flavor hit their sweet tooth instantly as if they were in a chocolate castle surrounded with a gooey chocolate moat around. Every bite was soft and squishy as a cloud.

The chocolate cake ended the night in a sweet bliss as the two girls savored every bite. I noticed a small piece of chocolate frosting in the corner of Wednesday's mouth so I came close to her before licking it away.

Wednesday turned to me in surprise before crashing her lips onto mine. I tasted chocolate as her tongue wrestled with mine. The bliss from the chocolate also increased our arousal so you may guess what will happen next. A lot of hot and messy scenes happened with Enid joining in the middle of it. The night flashed by as all three of us worked till early in the morning.

Morning came and the gentle light illuminating all three of us on the bed. I woke up looking up to the ceiling before gently sitting up. I see we made a mess of things all around the room. Clothes were all over the place as it was pretty wild last night. I summoned the Shadow Knights to once again pick up the clothes and fold them on one of the tables available before I headed to shower.

The hot shower really woke me up as I felt every pore on my body getting cleaned from the sweat and viscous liquid dried up on the bottom half of my body. After scrubbing and rinsing with cold water, I felt very refreshed and got out with only a towel covering my bottom half.

Wednesday woke up shortly after I got out and saw me still steaming from the shower. She was enjoying the view before she got up and pecked me on my cheek.

She whispered to my ear, "I can't wait for more, Mon Cheri."

Wednesday stepped into the showers right after with a smirk on her face. I smiled in anticipation for the next incursion. While all that was happening, Enid was still asleep snoring and drooling on the pillow. I chuckled at the innocent display since I know she only drools if she's incredibly comfortable.

I came over to her squatting down next to the bed and began poking her cheeks every so often. Slowly but surely Enid started waking up, only to see me smiling straight at her.

I smiled and said, "Good morning sleepyhead."

I took a cloth and wiped her drool off. She didn't realise what was happening before her mind caught up realising what happened. She blushed so hard she looked like an apple. I just rubbed her cheeks and consoled her.

"You should take a shower, Enid. I have already finished and Wednesday should be almost done. I'm sure you want to feel clean and not sticky from last night," I reminded kindly.

Enid nodded like a chicken and ran straight to the showers.

I laughed a bit and thought, "She's still a bit naive but I hope she can still be the same after the next world. I fear she'll be jaded after experiencing difficulties."

A few minutes passed by before Wednesday got out of the shower. She wore a striped T-shirt and black panties and sat on the bed right next to me. I couldn't help but admire the lazy fit she got on.

I calmly asked, "Wednesday, I might be going out of town for a few days to grab supplies for our world crossover. Is there anything you need me to grab while I'm away? It can range from toilet paper to grenades to solar panels."

Wednesday tilted her head to me and replied, "If you could bring some weapons for me to use as well as firearms would be much appreciated. Perhaps some camping gear in case we get transported to an island or a wasteland."

I hummed and agreed, "Alright I'll grab your weapons for you. I'll be raiding the nearby military bases and maybe a few museums for cold weapons for you to choose from. For camping gear, I have an idea in mind so I got that covered. I shouldn't take too long gathering supplies. Maybe three days if not five days would do the trick. I have some big plans for what to grab."

My Shadow Storage seems to have grown since I came here in this world. Before it could only carry about two rooms filled with goodies. Now it's the size of the island of Great Inagua.

If this keeps on expanding, I can turn it into a complete world where Wednesday and Enid could stay safe in case things get dangerous. The only problem is the light and heat source like an artificial sun as well as water.

I could fill the water from the nearby ocean when I develop the Shadow Storage into a complete world but that would be for the future. For now, I will add as much supplies as I can from the raiding I will be doing soon as well as robbing the banks for gold and silver as well as cash money since monetary value will always be needed.

Enid abruptly opened the door leading to the showers to see her all dressed in a white T-shirt and purple panties rushing towards me. She lunged and held me with her arms around my neck and her legs clamped on my waist before cuddling me.

She felt incredibly comfortable just hanging on me while Wednesday was just watching the fun with deadpan eyes. I could only pet Wednesday's head to calm her down. So far, it's working as she's enjoying the pets like a cat. This continued on for an hour before both girls were satisfied.

I told them I'll be leaving today and should be back in a few days. I assured them I would contact them every so often or if they think of something else to add. Time waits for no one so I gave each a kiss and hugged them dearly before I Shadow Exchanged to a Shadow bird near a military base.

Seeing as it was still daylight out, I went around and surveyed the area. I did the same for all the other military bases via Shadow Exchange. Good thing there is a navy base nearby too. The survey took almost all day and it's now night time. Perfect for raiding those supplies.

I changed my outfit to a darker suit as well as keeping my face covered. I once again Shadow Exchanged into the base and bypassed the patrolling soldiers. It took me five minutes to reach the munitions depot where they store their live ammunition and explosives.

I made sure to cover the cameras with a little Shadow energy to blind them before enlarging the Shadow Storage over the whole depot. Everything was swallowed and neatly categorized inside the Shadow Storage. Millions of ammunition and explosives were gone just like that.

Next stop is the arsenal which was only a block away. The arsenal was filled with various weapons from pistols to automatic rifles to anti-material sniper rifles are all displayed inside. Unlike the munitions depot, the arsenal have guards patrolling the premises.

I summoned the Shadow Knights to knock each guard out and used the same strategy with the cameras. Once again, I emptied the whole arsenal and left the unconscious guards by the wall.

Next stop is the storage depot where the military vehicles are stored. I opened the tall hanger doors before slipping inside. The whole place was deserted as they're not in service yet. I see some HMMWVs, ASVs, MRAPs, Black Hawk Helicopters, and replacement equipment in case repairs are needed.

I whistled, "That is a lot of vehicles and there's even a Black Hawk Helicopter. Good thing the Shadow Storage is huge now so I can sort these out inside later. Now to find the fuel and appropriate equipment for this."

Luckily there are barrels of gas and oil next door for resupply as well as the relevant equipment like helmets and body armor.

"With the amount of supplies I got from this base should be enough. I should head out before an alarm sounds off," I thought before Shadow Exchanging out of the base.

In the coming days, several military bases were raided yet no one could find the culprit. There was a nationwide manhunt for me yet they have no way of tracking me as I left no evidence to pin anything on me. I could come and go silently without tripping any alarms caused a stir in the upper management of the US military.

Another incident baffled the nation as several banks were emptied under the cover of night and there was no forced entry nor how they got away. Several supermarkets were also ransacked of food, water, stationary products, camping equipment, and survival gear. A few hospitals were also looted but what was taken was the excess. It seemed like the perpetrator still cared for those who needed it.

I was watching all this from a hotel overlooking the city. After four days of raiding, the Shadow Storage was only filled to about one-fifth of the space. The only thing left to grab is the super yacht we can drive by ourselves, a luxury RV equipped with solar panels and AC units, an old-fashioned wooden frigate, and a brand new Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer. After everything is acquired, the raiding would be completed and ready to head back to Nevermore.

Thankfully a luxury RV was easily acquired around the downtown area in a luxury dealership. The super yacht also was easy to acquire due to checking the docks of the multimillionaires.

The wooden frigate was a bit harder to find since it is an old vessel but thankfully I found a full replica was made with modern techniques so it was much stronger than when it was made back in the pirate era. The last and most challenging raid would be the Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer.

"I suppose the best time to grab the Destroyer would be at the dead of night. I'll just order some room service and sleep till it's nighttime. I got a few Shadow Knights keeping watch anyways," I thought out loud.

Time passed quickly and the sun had set and the moon had risen. I woke up from my nap and drank some hot coffee to wake me up. I washed up and got into dark clothing again. I Shadow Exchanged to the dry dock where the Destroyer is currently stationed. All around are patrols and cameras on the outside and most likely inside as well.

I let out the Shadow Knights and told them to attach to the patrolling soldiers to knock them unconscious while I cover the cameras with Shadow energy to obscure the vision. The same method was used for those inside the Destroyer as well. It took about half an hour before everything was ready and sorted.

The huge Destroyer as well as the payload was transferred inside the Shadow Storage while the unconscious soldiers were piled in the middle of the dry dock by the Shadow Knights. Seeing the last requirement was secured, I Shadow Exchanged to the hotel room and unblocked the cameras. All the Shadow Knights had already returned to my shadow by then. I went straight to bed as it was still past midnight and I'll be heading back to Jericho in the morning.

Morning finally came as I woke up around 10am. I first turned on the TV to see if the government would make a statement or cover up the theft of their Destroyer. Low and behold there was no news of the theft. Understandable since any more unexplained thefts from the US military will shed a bad light on the country, which in turn would give other nations to weaken US prestige on a global scale.

"Well nothing to do with me since I'll be leaving this world soon enough," I thought to myself.

I took a shower and got ready in casual clothes before grabbing my bag and left the room. I got to the lobby to check out and headed to the train station. Fastest way to Jericho is by train and quite comfortable too.

I grab some snacks along the way for Enid mostly and some for Wednesday if she wants some. I boarded the train leaving for Burlington train station and settled in my seat while listening to music on my phone. I took in the scenery as the train started and slowly dozed off to sleep.

By the time I woke up, the train had started to slow down before coming to a stop. I grabbed my bag before hailing an Uber to head back to Nevermore.

"It's been five days since I left. I hope the girls are doing alright," I murmured to myself.

Half an hour had passed and I saw the gates of Nevermore again. I paid my fare and grabbed my bag before stepping out of the Uber.

"Finally home," I said happily.

I opened the gates and headed inside Nevermore. As expected, students noticed me as I walked towards Ophelia Hall. The students were wondering where I disappeared recently but they were glad to see me again. A few of them even greeted me by welcoming me back. Despite Nevermore's reputation with the people of Jericho, they have their own sense of unity with each other.

I finally got to Ophelia Hall and walked up the stairs. Wednesday and Enid's room is right in front of me. I slowly exhaled and opened the door. I see Wednesday writing her novel while Enid was focused on her blog. Thing was on Enid's bed reading a new magazine. It seemed like nothing changed much from my departure.

I closed the door a little loud, which startled everyone. They all looked at the direction of the noise before their eyes blurred with tears as they all rushed towards me enveloping me in their hug, even Thing joined in hanging on my shoulder.

I was caressing their heads as they were venting their emotions for leaving for so long. Despite me calling back everyday to check up on them, nothing beats having me here in person. After venting their emotions for a while, they calmed down before reluctantly releasing their hold over my body.

Wednesday rubbed her eyes and said, "Welcome home, Mi Amor."

Enid shared the same sentiment and even Thing gave me a thumbs up for my return. Thinking about it, I'll have Thing come with us as well to accompany Wednesday and Enid. He is part of the family after all. I have to talk to Wednesday about this.

Perhaps make a video call via crystal ball to inform her family that she would be taking a trip with me. Nothing would happen to this world as time will stagnate as soon as we leave this world and will resume as soon as we return in the future.

I could only say, "I'm home~"

The whole afternoon was spent on telling me what the girls have been doing since I left. Nothing major happened besides the usual fencing practice and free time by the Quad or spent reading books in the Nightshade Society.

I also told my adventures on how much supplies I had from all the raiding I did. Both Wednesday and Enid had been following the news of the recent theft across the East Coast and knew it was me. They asked how much I took and I took only a portion of the weapons, cash, and supplies I had out to show them. The amount of supplies were staggering as it piled up high as a hill before I put them back into the Shadow Storage due to the weight it started exerting on the floor boards.

Both Wednesday and Enid's eyes almost popped out because there was so much that it piled up on to the ceiling and it was only a small amount I took out. Enid was baffled by the amount of cash money that basically rained down like a flood while Wednesday was astounded with the amount of firearms and explosives I took out.

I laughed at their reactions before closing their mouths with my lips and suggesting we go shopping before we leave this world. They acquiesced to my suggestion. I also told Wednesday we should take Thing with us as he's basically family and adding another person to join is no problem.

Thing heard my proposal of joining our multiverse travel family and started jumping in the air with a high five. It seemed like Thing is very excited about joining. Wednesday thought about it for a while before agreeing. Now Thing can be included to travel. The rest of the night went on catching up with each other as they craved skinship so it was another sleepless night.

A few weeks had gone by as they already went shopping the weekend before. Goody was also transferred to Wednesday's necklace so she may freely enter and exit to guide Wednesday in her psychic training and spellcasting.

Wednesday also contacted her family about not being able to come home after this school year ends as she will be taking a trip with me and Enid. She also told them that Thing would come along to keep him company as well. Enid also contacted her family and explained the situation to them and ultimately agreed when they heard I'll be going as well. They know their Enid will be well-protected during the trip.

It's finally the last day of the school year and the time for their multiverse travel to begin. The girls had finished packing their bags and transferred them to their own storage bracelets. Yes, you heard it correctly; Storage Bracelets.

During the few weeks leading to today, I dabbled in alchemy and inscriptions and learned how to make a storage ring. I expanded on that and made bracelets for them for increased storage space. I gave them each adequate supplies for them to survive on their own in case we get separated as well as weapons and armor for protection should they need it.

I made the bracelets made out of titanium alloy and dyed it to the girls' preference. Wednesday got Midnight Black while Enid was Silver Moon. I thought I'd give Thing one too and made a storage ring for his index finger and filled it with manicure products as well as explosives like grenades and dynamites.

I even included a custom umbrella so Thing can materialize it on his wrist so he can stay dry or cool under bad weather conditions.

We all looked at the empty room as their lives were about to change to a new adventure. They all went downstairs and said goodbye to everyone. We all see Principal Weems at the gates waiting for us.

Principal Weems conveyed, "I hope you have a safe trip and always remember: Nevermore is always welcome to you all."

We all smiled and nodded. We said our farewell to Principal Weems as we left Nevermore. Five minutes later, there were no more witnesses nearby.

I turned to Wednesday, Enid, Thing, and Goody who was hovering and said, "You guys ready?"

They all shouted, "Ready!!"

Goody returned back into the necklace and Thing climbed to Wednesday's shoulders while Enid was next to Wednesday. With everything ready, I started the World Portal to open to the new world.

A large blue portal opened in front of them and stabilized. I turned to both girls and held their hands attaching my energy with them ensuring their safety. We all walked through the portal to start our new journey through the multiverse.
