Chapter 1 - The Battle of the Demon King

A vast realm stretched endlessly, as far as the eye could see.

A world where peace was born of unity and mutual understanding. Human life was free—regardless of race or faction. Healthy competition thrived everywhere. Earth had built its civilization for thousands of years. Humans, elves, demons, and many other races lived together in harmony. The blessing of "power," which granted each person a unique ability for their entire life, had long become a natural part of existence. With almost no discrimination, with almost no conflict, life on this planet was truly peaceful.

Until one day, a flaming arrow streaked down from the heavens.

All eyes witnessed a monumental shift in history. The explosion screamed through the sky, terrifying every living being. Accompanied by a brilliant purple light that blanketed the night sky, it seeped into every alley, every crevice of every heart, filling them with a single thing—desire.

War, bloodshed, hatred, and rage—all were double-edged swords. The four kings of the world, bearers of the greatest known powers, walked a single path toward an island in the middle of the ocean, battered by relentless waves day and night. The island's sky was eternally dark, steeped in ruin. There, within a hollow beneath a towering spire, someone sat upon a throne.

He was the bringer of fear. The one who had arrived with the flaming arrow. The conqueror of galaxies—Lord Orion.

The alien looked exactly like an ordinary human, always dressed in a pristine suit that appeared strangely out of place on Earth—perhaps far too advanced for its era. Though he carried no weapon, his power surpassed even the four world kings who had now become his most loyal followers. Lord Orion wore his hair half-long, his bangs veiling his left eye, yet the purple glow still shone through. His unbroken smile was his defining trait, as if to declare to all existence that he was the strongest in the universe.

---

Far away, in the heart of an endless снежная tundra, something arrived.

Vernizel, the sovereign of all realms, the ruler of every dimension and everything within them—from powerless bacteria to omnipotent cosmic entities. From before existence itself, to what had yet to be given form. Vernizel assumed a human shape—Kaizo Kartoener—and walked across the piled snow to meet someone who did not even know of his existence.

His name was Kaizo Dantarona.

At that moment, he was nothing more than a frail youth, nearly devoured by a Hydra that could regenerate after enduring even its own annihilation-level attacks. Vernizel approached, his black mantle billowing, and ended the Hydra's life with a single strike.

This was the beginning of the meeting between teacher and student—between a hyper-cosmic ruler beyond all things and an ordinary youth whose power came only from the system that existed in his own world.

CHAPTER I

The Battle of the Demon King

In the northern hemisphere of the world lay a massive island, so vast it rivaled an entire nation. Within it stood a kingdom—one of Earth's superpowers at the time: The Kingdom of Notton. A land where every native citizen bore white hair and blue eyes.

Deep within the bustling heart of the kingdom, a young queen sat in silence.

Eliana Notton.

Her fingertips were cold as she stared into nothingness. One of the four world kings, now allied with Lord Orion—the Demon King Zamboss, ruler of fire—had sent her a message. Through a tattered letter, Zamboss declared:

> "To the honorable Queen Eliana,

I, Zamboss, will seize the Kingdom of Notton from you. What I desire is not its throne, but the devastation of you and your people."

The moment Eliana finished reading, tears spilled like a waterfall. Everyone knew there was no hope of defeating Zamboss. He had not earned the title of World King for nothing. No military force could stand against him—especially not now, with Lord Orion behind him.

To calm herself, Eliana finally rose from her bed. With heavy steps, she moved toward the door, dismissing every servant who tried to assist her. Her gaze was hollow, directionless, unaware of what she should do next. She passed through the main gates of the palace, causing every guard to bow at once.

Then, one of the gatekeepers suddenly stopped her.

"Your Majesty! Someone wishes to meet you! He claims he can save the kingdom!"

In an instant, Eliana's eyes widened—as if a faint hope had returned.

"Open the gate."

The massive wooden doors swung open. A young man stood there with his arms crossed. A smug smile rested upon his face, his eyes narrowed with pride. He looked exactly like a wandering traveler.

"It seems you need help," he said casually. "Leave it to me. I'll wipe out your enemy."

That was Kaizo Dantarona, a youth the same age as Eliana, boldly declaring such words before the entire court—including the queen herself.

Eliana stepped forward and, without warning, launched an attack. Her fist flew with terrifying speed. Even seasoned soldiers would never dare face the queen's lethal strike. Yet just as her fist was about to shatter Kaizo's face—

TINGGG!

A sharp metallic clang rang out as Eliana was blasted backward. The guards, startled, hesitantly leveled their spears at Kaizo.

"I guarantee it," Kaizo said proudly. "Zamboss will suffer far worse if he fights me."

"You're interesting," Eliana said coolly. "I could use you. What is your price? I'm certain you want something."

Kaizo raised his finger, then lowered it—pointing directly at Eliana.

"What I want is everything you have. Not just your throne and wealth… but you as well. Marry me."

Eliana froze. The guards exploded in anger and fear, ready to drive him out—yet wary of what he might do.

"If you can prove it," Eliana said at last, "then… why not? I will accept."

The guards spun toward their queen in disbelief, trying desperately to make her reconsider. But her decision was final.

"If you succeed, we will marry. Tell me—how much do you want of me?" she asked.

"I want it all. Your body, your soul—everything must be mine!" Kaizo declared confidently. His wolf-cut hair fluttered in the wind, making him look, at least in his own eyes, incredibly cool.

"Very well," Eliana said, extending her hand with a calm smile. "I accept. I hope the results satisfy me."

---

Kaizo departed in high spirits, his laughter echoing as he descended the long stone stairs into the city below. Meanwhile, Eliana lowered her head, smiling as her heart quietly shattered.

"Your Majesty… what do you truly seek from that man?" one guard asked tremblingly.

"Him… I don't know. In this situation, I must do anything to ensure your survival. If he wins, he becomes the perfect weapon. If he loses, then that is simply our fate."

With that, Eliana left the hall and went down into the city.

---

That Night

Eliana shivered atop her bed, unable to sleep—not because of the city's near-freezing temperatures, but because of the dread gripping her heart over the coming battle.

At last, still in her nightwear, she rose and gazed out the window. Below, at the foot of the hill beneath her castle, lay a great city of thousands, all its lights extinguished early.

Everyone was spending what they believed might be their last night—some in prayer, some in laughter with family, some sitting alone beneath the stars.

Can I really entrust everything to that man…? Eliana wondered silently.

"Are you truly a leader?"

A powerful voice rang out behind her. She spun around instantly, ready to fight—yet before she could even see her intruder, her legs gave out, as if an overwhelming force crushed her to her knees.

"What… is happening…?"

"Your body senses the presence of the Creator," the man said calmly. "How could it not kneel?"

He wore a pitch-black mantle. His crimson eyes glowed, his hair faintly streaked with red. There was only one such being.

Vernizel.

"You think using that boy is enough to save everything?" he asked coldly. "You are the ruler of this kingdom. Why do you not act?"

Eliana bowed her head. Her teeth trembled. Tears streamed down her face.

"If only I were strong… if only I had power… I would have faced him myself. I always dreamed of becoming a hero."

Vernizel folded his arms and began to speak gently.

"I once knew a man. In a world filled with heroes, superhumans, and monsters as tall as buildings, he registered as a hero despite having no power at all. Only a plastic armor he built himself—and an unbreakable will. Each day he patrolled the city, ranked at the bottom, able to help with only the smallest tasks."

"One day, a powerful monster emerged from underground, chasing evacuating civilians. Every hero who tried to slow it down fell effortlessly. At last, it reached the evacuation plaza. Everyone froze in terror. The monster stood four meters tall, its muscles immense. All the lower-ranked heroes fled. They knew they would not survive."

"But then—the monster stopped. A bicycle struck its back. It did no damage, but it forced the beast to turn. Everyone recognized the man. The weakest hero alive. Even he knew he was too weak to win. But he also knew—he was too strong to give up."

"With full awareness, he threw a single punch amid the cheers of the crowd. The blow struck the monster's stomach. Nothing happened. The monster swatted him away, sending him unconscious. Then the world's strongest hero arrived, praised the fallen hero's courage, and ended the monster with a single strike."

Eliana whispered, shaken, "How could I ever be like that…? Was he even human?"

"He was," Vernizel replied. "And this happened on another Earth. Compared to him, you are far stronger. Even if you lose, showing responsibility still matters. I say this because I know—if that boy arrives late, everything will end. Even if Zamboss dies, your kingdom will vanish."

---

Eliana jolted awake.

The moon beyond her window had not moved at all.

On her shoulder, a black tattoo had appeared—the symbol of a V, adorned with indecipherable ornaments.

"So many strange things have happened… The elf healer vanished. The barbarian crown prince suddenly became an adventurer. The northern sword prince disappeared. Fatih gave up his entire sultanate to Master Aydir. And now my kingdom is next…"

She pressed her hand to her aching head.

"But no matter what… I will fight. I will give my best."

She left her room, summoned her soldiers, and began preparing for the coming battle.

---

The Next Day

At the same hour, the gate watch reported a colossal silhouette approaching.

"He's coming! He's coming!"

All citizens had already been evacuated into the castle. The massive gates opened. Eliana stepped out, her gaze cold and resolute. Her white hair shimmered beneath the starlight. She wore black trousers, a white shirt, and a long blue coat.

Ten kilometers from the main gate, she faced Zamboss.

Zamboss, a demon, was fully wrapped in crimson cloth. A Spartan helm concealed his face as fire erupted from its crest. His eyes burned yellow without pupils, and the heat of his body melted the snow around them.

"Eliana… I thought you would kneel and surrender," he growled. "Yet you chose to fight."

Fear surged through Eliana's body. Her heart raced. Sweat soaked her skin.

In an instant, her left eye exploded, tearing her face apart. She leaped back, clutching the wound. Blue-white steam rose as her flesh regenerated.

"So it's true," Zamboss laughed. "The regeneration of Notton's first king still lingers."

"Shut up!"

Eliana leaped forward and punched his face, denting his helm and forcing him back. Enraged, Zamboss unleashed a sea of flame. The explosion tore the sky apart, turning night into day. Eliana's body was burned to ash—yet once more, it restored itself.

Then—

Someone appeared beside her.

The same outfit. The same figure.

With a cowboy hat and a black scarf.

Kaizo had arrived.

"Kali ini, kau adalah… mainan ku!"

"This time—you are my toy!" Kaizo shouted, pointing at Zamboss.

With a blur, Kaizo vanished. A katana appeared in his hand, drawn from his portable inventory, and stabbed straight through Zamboss's heart. Kaizo seized Eliana and retreated to the fortress as Zamboss's body swelled to monstrous proportions—nearly eight hundred meters tall.

"So that's it… that's why he's considered the weakest of the four," Kaizo muttered.

Zamboss forged a massive flaming sword and brought it crashing down toward the capital.

TINGGG!

The sword shattered like glass.

Kaizo launched into the sky, summoned a perfect replica of the Hiroshima demon core, and activated his master's technique:

VOID BODY.

Purple light engulfed him.

With a spinning kick—

"ATOMIC KICK!"

The explosion erased Zamboss from existence.

---

Later, as cheers echoed through the kingdom, Eliana knelt before Kaizo.

"I, Eliana Notton, offer my life and soul to you as my king."

Kaizo glanced at Vernizel. The god merely gave a teasing thumbs-up.

---

That night, in the castle chamber, Eliana finally broke down and revealed the pain she had hidden all her life. Kaizo listened. When her grief overwhelmed her, he simply held her.

And at last, she cried freely for the first time.

---

The night ended in quiet warmth between Kaizo and Eliana.
