Chapter 1 - Whispers of the first branch

(Prologue chapter)

Shadows Seemed to whisper.

An endless desert that seemed to stretch over the horizon. With the sun falling down Straight over it.

A lone cart moved through the desert, unfazed by either sand or the sun glaring down on it.

A soft feminine voice cut through the silence.

Edward, my dear, you shouldn't push yourself so much, we've been traveling for a whole day, aren't you tired? come and have some rest before we get going again.

A voice answered: Eve, Honey... if I didn't push myself and sacrifice my self for the sake of our child who would?

Edward guided both of his horses towards the city, a sense of discomfort followed him while he was leaving the desert. He felt as if shadows lingered a second late to their hosts, he could've sworn that they stayed still for a heartbeat after the cart moved.

After sometime the strain caused by travel made him lose clarity of himself, not resting after that made the strain more pronounced, yet it didn't stop him. eventually though; he started sweating more, his control over the cart seemed to dim, it reached the degree of Edward forcing himself to use his fragment to boost himself, even though it was temporary it allowed him to push himself with the cart, and his wife with their unborn child inside.

Gradually the scorching sun that had been glaring down on Edward and his cart seemed to finally dim, until the unbearable heat of the sun got replaced by the cozy air of the night. he was finally able to rest after this long exhausting journey.

The same sweet and soft voice lingered in the air this time with a question.

Edward, what name should we call our kid?

a voice answered: maybe if the kid is a female? we can name her after you Eve?

Eve answered him softly: what if he's a boy? what should we call him?

her voice lingered in the air for a while.

until an answer came from Edward: lets call him Yabbos.

Edward got up from his rest and stared at a mask in a distant, he then said: it feels like that antique over there also agrees.

Edward tried to sleep, yet there was a distant whisper in the horizon, a whisper that shouldn't exist. It didn't have any vessel to come from, so why, why was there a distant whisper since he started his journey, eventually exhaustion overtook him and made him rest.
