Chapter 1 - Chapter One — The Entity in the Void

I always imagined I'd die in some dramatic, fantasy-worthy way — maybe fighting a dragon, or battling gods across dimensions.Instead, I died at a book signing.

One moment I was handing a fan a signed copy of my latest fantasy novel — filled with magic systems so complex even Merlin would get a headache — and the next, a gunshot echoed through the hall. Warmth blossomed in my chest, the world tilted, and everything went dark.

Not exactly glamorous. Definitely exciting. But at twenty-one? Extremely disappointing.

When the darkness settled, I expected oblivion. Maybe a dream. Maybe reincarnation roulette.Instead, I opened my eyes to a black void deeper than space, stretching endlessly in every direction. And standing before me — or floating, or existing in some way I couldn't comprehend — was… something.

A being that looked vaguely humanoid but wasn't. A shifting silhouette of colors, concepts, and truths my dead brain wasn't built to process.

"Welcome," the being said, voice layered with billions of harmonics. "I am The Entity."

"The Entity?" I asked. "Not exactly subtle."

"My true name would melt your human brain," it replied casually. "And now that you're dead, it would destroy your soul."

"…Right. 'The Entity' it is."

With the same casual tone one might use to offer a stranger a chocolate bar, it said:

"I am going to reincarnate you into a fusion between the DC and Marvel universes. You will be given five wishes."

My brain immediately went into overdrive. This was every fantasy author's ultimate dream scenario — a cheat menu for life.

But first, I asked for the rules. No omnipotence. No instant universe-breaking powers.I could, however, choose abilities with the potential to reach omniversal levels, if I had the patience to train them.

Perfect.

I began crafting my wishes with the precision of someone min-maxing a character sheet at 3 AM.

Wish One: Supreme Magic Talent

I wished to become the most talented magic user in any multiverse I visited. Not omniversal supremacy — the Entity tweaked that — but close enough.

The ability to learn any magic at a glance.Perfect control.Instant comprehension.Talent far exceeding every sorcerer, witch, god, demon, and cosmic entity from any fictional universe.

A cheat code disguised as a talent.Approved.

Wish Two: Otsutsuki Bloodline

My second wish was simple: the complete Otsutsuki bloodline, with all its power —but my human bloodline would become superior, dominating and controlling the Otsutsuki traits.

Long lifespan.Ridiculous regeneration.Cosmic-level chakra converted into magic energy.

In other words:Functional immortality with infinite potential.

The Entity hesitated… then nodded. Approved.

Wish Three: God-Level Intelligence

A mind boosted far beyond human capacity.A godlike intellect able to think dozens of threads simultaneously. The kind of intelligence that made Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Bruce Wayne, and Lex Luthor look like toddlers with crayons.

The Entity approved — though with a few "stability tweaks" so I wouldn't become a walking singularity of insanity.

Wish Four: Absolute Immunity

I asked for immunity to:

– reality warping– timeline restructuring– conceptual erasure– memory manipulation– divine smiting– mind control– insanity– the side effects of any power I use

If a god from any universe decided I was inconvenient and tried to delete me?

Too bad. Denied.

The Entity chuckled — if an eldritch god can chuckle — but granted it. With limits.I wasn't invincible, but I was impossible to erase.

Wish Five: The Infinite Library

A separate dimension containing every magical text from the entire omniverse.

Every grimoire.Every ancient scroll.Every forbidden tome.Every spell.Every technique.Every artifact blueprint.Every piece of dark magic so horrifying the Darkhold would look like a kindergarten coloring book.

Accessible with a tattoo on the back of my hand.

The Entity seemed amused… but granted it.

When my five wishes were done, the Entity asked:

"Any additional requests before reincarnation?"

I thought about it.What I needed most was time.

So I asked to be reincarnated centuries before the main Marvel and DC timelines — long before Krypton exploded, before Hydra rose, before Gotham fell into corruption.

I chose the year 1316.

Five centuries to learn.Five centuries to master magic, build connections, and become a legend.

A mysterious witch who walks through history untouched by age.

The Entity approved.

Then it asked one more question:

"Would you like a chosen fictional appearance? You may select one."

It even offered a list — Yennefer, Akeno, Rias, Tsunade, Hinata, Daenerys, Elaina the Wandering Witch, Lucy, and more.

After thinking, I chose Mira from She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man — not only her appearance, but her full Summoner powers, including:

– Carved Seal of Contract– Dark Knight & Holy Knight frames– Valkyrie Sisters– Imperial Dragon Aizenfald– Every spirit and beast she ever summoned– Spirit resonance– Evolved Summoning– Elemental Shift– And everything else detailed in the lore

The Entity gave me all of it.Every summoning spell.Every spirit.Every beast.Every advanced technique.

Merged seamlessly with my supreme magic talent.

And then the void began to dissolve.

"Go," the Entity said. "Shape the worlds of Marvel and DC as you desire."

A doorway of shimmering light opened behind me.

I took a breath — my last breath as the person I had been — and stepped through.

The reincarnation began.
