Chapter 1 - Chapter 0: Prologue

*********

Unknown Realm [????]

"Is it the only... way?"

Someone muttered in the uncertainty of [?????] — a lifeless realm of death and destruction. He gazed on the [???????].

"Yes... it is... the only... way, goddamnit."

Another person chuckled, blood trickled down in his mouth, his body wounded beyond death. Still, his voice was composed, and his expression was one of incomprehensible relief.

"It's strange... isn't it, hehehe. Even if we managed to do [??????],we still have to do this shit..." His comrade smiled, looking at the various weapons embedded in his own body.

"... What a piece of shit life..." He chuckled, his body was laying down on the debris of wreckage, with his friend infront of him. They're looking at each other, as if to say that this will be the last time, and give goodbye to each other.

The friend that he had who fought with him in countless battles, smiled at his words, blood continuously flowing in his eyes and orifice.

But that resilient man, intentionally ignored it for the meantime. "At least, we have managed to use it, you know?"

"Yes, we fucked those bastards... real good."

He assured his comrade, knowing that their sacrifice wasn't in vain. Their petty lives weren't in vain; they fought until the very end.

"I'm sure... someone will notice—someone will tend to notice. Not just us, someone will stand up to those bitches."

His friend smiled, stared at the destroyed sky, then whispered softly. "Of course, someone will definitely stand up to that [?????]."

"Well, I know it too. We fought... really hard in that battle..." His friend added, and waved his decapitated stump hand and continued.

"It's the only... two of us left, you know. I'm sorry... if I have to say my goodbye first and give up on our dream. I'll definitely tell them... to give you a warm hug if you... go up there, hehehe."

"Of course... you would, you bastard." He weakly smiled at his comrade—his comrade, still joking even at the brink of his own death.

"I'll be going first... man."

His comrade stared at the sky, full of debris and destruction—one of the things that they sought to protect, he muttered weakly. "It is... still beautiful as the last time..."

The final words of the [??????] who fought until the very end.

"Now, I have to do... this alone, shit."

He didn't want to mourn the loss of his friend—for he had a duty that he had to fulfill before he died, his friend will also be mad if he neglect his duty just to cry and mourn like a kid. Hell, he will even tease him if he knows it.

That's the kind of bastard he is.

He said softly, "Let's meet up in that place... man."

The only man who survived, slowly continued to walk, to his own journey, sadness still lingering in his face, but as he looked at his weapon, a sword, extremely tattered, full of marks, almost broken. He remembered his duty.

"I still have to fulfill that... in order to give him the [???????].
