Chapter 1 - Prologue

Author Note: *This chapter serves as the introduction to the world but would highly recommend you read this!**

The world has developed significantly both in positive and negative ways. It all started when, sometime in 2026, a bunch of 20-year-olds began to disappear randomly. Nobody could explain what happened at the time.

After an hour, only 20 million people survived out of the 100million who lived to tell the tale, and those people who survived gained supernatural powers and were called the Specials.

And every December of each year, all 20 years across the globe began to go unconscious and arrive at a place which is called The Dream because it is filled to the brim with fantasy-type monsters and magic almost like a dream.

Then, after the first batch of specials came along, the development of technology changed at a rapid pace in just 14 years. Flying cars were invented, new medicines that rid the world of diseases, and tons of life-changing inventions were made.

But...those are the good parts, then some specials who went on a mass genocide in which almost 11.9 million people died, then the world's governments almost collapsed due to the imbalances in power.

We also were not that kind to the specials; there was discrimination against them, calling them mudders and throwing blame at them if anything bad happened in the world.

The doctor around the world then began their research on this mysterious phenomenon and found some symptoms that occurred before the transportation: nausea, dizziness, the body growing weak, the person feeling lazy and sleepy, and after their eyes shut, an ethereal light would cover their body and it would disappear.

And a few years later, due to overpollution and overpopulation, the whole world's oxygen was becoming toxic to inhale, so the government built three domes in Asia since it had the most land mass.

Then, 4 years passed. In the year 2030, the rich, middle, and lower-class people were separated for some unknown reason, and the newly reformed government didn't say anything, creating three groups: the upper middle and lower class. They treated the lower-class people like shit, making them work until the day they died.

Some of them managed to escape this fate by becoming specials, but the others weren't so lucky; most of them died during the first time they went into the dream, and others didn't even get a chance and weren't transported.

The lower-class zone was filled with danger and kids who were malnourished and mistreated by the other groups treating them like slaves.

And now the system was somewhat balanced, but even no,w the major guilds had more power than the governmen,t and the slightest argument could cause a horrific war.

A few years passed, it was now 2040, December 1, and a new batch of people were about to be sent to the dream. Their parents worried about them, but at the very front dome, there was a solemn figure of a boy shivering from the cold, looking at the giant wall separating the domes.
