Chapter 75 - The Ancestral site

Chapter—The Ancestral site

The revelation hung in the sterile air of the Council chamber like a physical weight. Kaizen's admission that he had known about the Aura Formulation—the event that had rewritten the laws of physics and biology—sent a shockwave through Auron's mind.

"You knew?" Auron's voice was low, vibrating with an intensity that made the floor tiles hum. "You knew everything? The categories, the devils, the shift in reality... before the sky ever broke?"

Kaizen nodded solemnly, his face lined with the burden of a secret held for a lifetime. "In fact, I knew everything that was going to happen afterward. The emergence of the one-star to five-star rankings, the arrival of the dungeon entities... all of it was foretold to us."

Auron felt the foundations of his understanding crumble. "How is that even possible? And Evelyn... you too?"

Evelyn, standing beside them with her arms crossed, gave a sharp, resolute nod. "Our bloodlines didn't just inherit power, Auron. We inherited a history that the rest of the world has forgotten."

A mountain of questions began to form in Auron's mind, each one more pressing than the last. If they knew, why didn't they prepare the world? If they knew, why let the Council sell humanity out to the devils? But before he could speak, Kaizen held up a hand.

"I know you have too many questions, Auron. But the words of a man are nothing compared to the truth of the source. There is a place—an ancestral site—that will give you every answer you seek. And more importantly, I believe it holds the solution to the devil attack that is predicted to strike the Earth in exactly one year."

"What are we waiting for?" Auron's aura flared, his silver cape snapping. "We should go to this place immediately. Why stay in this den of cowards?"

Kaizen looked at his hands and hesitated, a flicker of unease crossing his face giving a smile. "We... we cannot fly for the moment."

Auron paused, confused. "Why not?"

Evelyn explained, her voice tinged with a bit of dry humor despite the situation. "But when you were angry earlier, that massive surge of negative aura you released... it didn't just break the Council's devices. It temporarily scrambled the aura flow in everyone nearby. Kaizen and I are 'empty' for at least another hour."

Auron replied" So you want to say you can't use your aura."

Kaizen and Evelyn Nodded.

Inside his mind, Luke took a mental note. Note to self: as Auron, I am a force of nature. But if I lose my temper as Luke, I might accidentally strip the power from everyone in the room and blow my cover. I have to be more cautious.

"I will summoned every Auramaster from across the globe," Kaizen continued. "They are landing at the headquarters as we speak. This secret belongs to the protectors of the world, not just us. I want everyone to hear the truth at once."

"Alright," Auron said, his posture regal once more. "Kaizen, I will be waiting. Make sure the world is ready."

With a sudden burst of silver light, Auron took to the sky, leaving the fractured Council building behind.

As Auron streaked through the clouds, the voice of Auru whispered in his ear. "That was a bombshell, Auron. To think that Kaizen knew the world was going to change before it actually did... it changes the context of everything he's done."

"Something even bigger is waiting for us tomorrow," Auron replied, his eyes fixed on the horizon. "I feel like the hours should pass like a galloping horse. I want to know the truth. I need to know why I am the 'Unique' one."

He flew to a secluded area, de-unifying and transforming back into the quiet, unassuming Luke. But as he walked back to his apartment, the "normal" life felt like a costume he was outgrowing. His thoughts were a whirlpool of ancestral links and prophetic warnings. He barely slept, watching the clock until the first light of dawn touched his window.

Tomorrow had become today.

The courtyard of the Guild Headquarters was a sight that would have stopped the heart of any civilian. Standing in rows were the world's most powerful individuals—the 193 Auramasters representing every nation on Earth.

At the front stood Kaizen and Evelyn, with Auron standing slightly apart, his silver presence commanding the respect of even the most veteran masters.

Kaizen stepped onto a raised platform. "My fellow Auramasters," he began, his voice amplified by a subtle use of aura. "I know you are questioning why you were called here so urgently. The truth is, we are all linked by an ancestral thread. We all knew, deep in our blood, that the Aura Formulation was coming. We are the guardians of a legend."

Auron's brow furrowed beneath his mask. He looked around and saw many of the other masters nodding in agreement. They did know.

"What are you saying?" Auron asked, stepping forward. "You speak of a legend and a foretold event. I know nothing of this 'legend'."

Kaizen's eyes widened slightly, a flicker of confusion crossing his face. The Unique Auramaster... doesn't know the Prophecy of the Broken Sky? He quickly masked his surprise. "It is a long story, Auron. One I will tell you in full soon. But for now, it is time to reveal a secret kept by my and Evelyn's ancestors for generations. As the Formulation has occurred and the devils have awakened, you must see the archive."

But in Auron minds one after other question where raising with twist and turn.

"Silence!" Kaizen commanded. He began to rise into the air, his golden aura forming a trail. "Follow me."

The 193 masters, along with Auron and Evelyn, ascended as one. It was a magnificent, terrifying display of power—a fleet of auramaster flying across the oceans.

After an hour of continuous flight at supersonic speeds, the air turned brutally cold. The blue waters of the ocean gave way to the jagged, white expanse of Antarctica—the one place on Earth where human intervention could not reach.

"Here?" Auron asked, looking down at the desolate ice.

"Yes," Kaizen replied. "Secure from the eyes of the curious and the corrupt."

They touched down in a valley of ice-covered peaks. Kaizen walked toward a seemingly ordinary rock wall encased in centuries of frost. He reached out and placed his palm against the frozen surface.

A pulse of yellow light rippled from his touch, melting the ice instantly. A deep, ancient voice, sounding like shifting tectonic plates, vibrated through the air.

"Welcome, Kaizen, the Guardian of Ryugaerious."

The rock wall groaned and slid aside, revealing a shimmering golden gateway.

Evelyn stepped forward next, placing her hand on the stone.

"Welcome, Evelyn, the Guardian of Crossias."

Kaizen turned to the assembled masters. "Every one of you, place your hand upon the stone. The vault must recognize the protectors of this era."

One by one, the Auramasters stepped forward.

The voices continued for nearly an hour as each master was recognized by their ancestral title. Finally, it was Auron's turn.

Auron stepped up to the rock. He felt a strange hum of energy beneath his palm. He pressed his hand firmly against the stone.

Silence.

The ancient voice did not speak. No guardian name was called.

Auron frowned and tried again, pushing his silver aura into the rock. Still, the vault remained silent. The other masters began to whisper among themselves, their eyes darting toward the silver-clad leader.

Auron questioning himself " I am truly chosen randomly, why system chose me ?it's better I was a average."

Kaizen looked troubled. "That... that is impossible. According to the records, the vault should recognize every soul that carries the Master-tier spark." He paused, looking at the gateway. "I think... perhaps the system is errored due to the intensity of your unique aura. Come, Auron. Enter anyway."

Auron entered the vault behind Kaizen and Evelyn. Inside, the passage was narrow and carved from a strange, deliquescent stone that seemed to glow with its own internal light. As they walked deeper into the mountain of ice, the luminosity increased.

The walls were covered in ancient paintings that moved. Auron stopped to look at one: it depicted a aura sphere, but the date was thousands of years in the past.

"The Formulation has happened before," Auron whispered, realization dawning on him.

"I think so" Kaizen replied. "It is a part of a human. We are just the latest players."

Finally, they reached a central chamber. It was a massive, circular room with a ceiling so high it was lost in shadow. In the very center of the room sat a glowing, floating crystalline structure that pulsed with a soft, rhythmic light. It looked like a heart made of pure energy.

The air here was thick with "Primal Aura"—the purest form of energy Luke had ever felt. It made his silver aura vibrate with a strange, harmonic frequency.

"There it is," Kaizen said, gesturing toward the glowing center.

A glowing stone with a book placed on it

Auron said ,"Lets see,What more secret this book holds."
