Chapter 3 - Truth Reveal.

After a few minutes.

Bai Ren was standing in front of a small house, he opened a door and entered the house.

Mei Ling sat on a chair and waited for his return in their courtyard under the peach tree.

He comes slowly slowly and stands behind her back.

"For you, my love," Bai Ren said softly, sliding the hairpin into her hair.

She smiled and stood from chair then turned toward him, pulling him close to her.

"Dinner is ready, let's celebrate together." She said in a soft voice.

She went inside the house, he was looking at her from behind and thought in his mind.

Bai Ren watches her remember his first day as reborn and how he met her.

First day of Reborn.

Bai Ren was touching his head and felt pain.

"Ouch, that hurts so much! I don't know which bastard hit me on the head with a basket." he said.

He looked around with wide eyes and found himself inside the strange still simple and old not modern room where he used to live.

"This all feels a bit strange. It feels like I've entered another world. It doesn't look like my room."

At that time everyone called me Bai Ren when they saw me, afterward I realised not only this place but my face also changed. Wandering around in the Yu clan here and there, I met her my first mistake and my first love Mei Ling.

She was standing in the garden and picking up flowers from plants and putting them in a bucket.

He was looking at her beautiful face, he said in the following, "Wow, she is beautiful~."

After hearing this Mei Ling turned her head toward her with anger.

"What do you say?"

"Will you marry me?" he replied.

"What?" She is shocked.

He grabs her hand, pulls her close and says to her… "Yes, I promise to treat you like a princess in my life."

After hearing this, she gets embarrassed.

"You..stop joking with a mere servant."

And she pulls her hand away from his.

At that time, I thought it was all a dream and that I would wake up soon then the dream would break.

So I asked her to marry me because in my previous life I was single and did not even find a girlfriend. That's why I was determined to make her my wife, even though it was a dream.

After a few minutes of thinking, she finally said 'yes'.

After my marriage, I realised that's not a dream but reality, damn it. If I know about this then I will not marry instead make my harem.

He takes a long sigh and smiles and goes for dinner with his wife.

Idon't know what happened to the original Bai Ren because he was not shown in the original novel. I think things are changing like I married her on the first day when I was reborn as Bai Ren here and got a promotion in rank. Let's forget about the past, this life is also good.

Morning.

Bai Ren wears a Yellow Robe and is ready for his first day of work as yellow robe servant.

"Take care of yourself dear." she said with a gentle voice.

Bai Ren kisses Mei Ling's lips as a goodbye kiss.

"I will."

He turned and walked away.

Yu Clan – Inner Hall

Yu Hao sat on the main chair and his expression on face was serious.

Before him stood Bai Jian, back straight, hands clenched tightly inside his sleeves.

A forced smile hung on his face but unable to hide his nervousness.

The atmosphere was tense inside the hall.

To Yu Hao's side sat Yu Xue.

Calm. Elegant. Pale—but unwavering.

Silence stretched for a long moment between them.

Finally, Yu Xue spoke and broke the silence in the hall.

"Brother, why did you call me here?" Yu Xue asked calmly.

"I heard that you are married, congratulations," he said with a smile on lips but his face deadly serious.

I noticed some changes in your behavior, so I asked someone to keep an eye on you and I'm trying to find out what's going on.

Shock flickered through her, but she held her calm facade.

"Brother…listen.." She tried to speak.

"This marriage," he said slowly, each word heavy, "should never have happened."

Bai Jian's heart skipped a beat.

Yu Hao's gaze snapped to him. "And you, Bai Jian—you already knew about this, didn't you?"

"Yes, my Lord," he replied with a smile.

In fact, I organised her on that day, that's why I chased him away from the house.

Yu Xue's expression didn't change, it's like she was determined on her decision.

Yu Hao continued in the voice firm.

"You are the Yu Clan's pillar. My sister. A woman whose status is unmatched."

He looked directly at her.

"And he is only a servant."

Bai Jian lowered his head further, sweat forming on his back.

"I will arrange a divorce," Yu Hao said firmly. "The clan will pay him a lot of money as compensation. Let's end this now."

The big hall went quiet again. Three of them were silent.

Bai Jian was not able to speak because he knew that his son was not worthy of Miss You.

Yue Hao stood up from chair and walked towards the door.

But Yu Xue did not agree with this, she only spent 7 days together with him as husband and wife. Inside her heart already acknowledged him as her husband.

She can't lose him then—

"No." Her voice was quiet but strong as iron and loud as a lion roar.

Yu Hao turned fast, his eyes wide with shock. "Xue'er—"

He didn't believe his sister would rebel against his decision.

She looked right at him, her eyes calm as still water.

"Brother," she said, "this marriage is already real."

Yu Hao's face tightened into a frown. "Real? By who?"

Yu Xue closed her eyes thinking of the moment that she spent together with him.

"…By fate and I acknowledge him as my husband."

Bai Jian's breath caught in his throat.

Yu Hao's expression darkened.

"You are poisoned," Yu Hao said coldly. "Your life is uncertain. You cannot tie yourself to a man like this."

Yu Xue opened her eyes.

"I know that very well," she replied softly.

Then she stood up from chair, her pale robes whispering against the stone floor.

"For that reason," she said, bowing her head slightly, "I ask you to grant my final wish."

Yu Xue looked at her brother, her eyes steady.

"Let this marriage remain."

"Let me live these remaining years as a woman—not as a weapon, not as a clan symbol."

Yu Hao clenched the fist.

Finally… he exhaled slowly.

"…Very well."

He understands that his decision can make her hurt more than death.

Bai Jian's eyes widened.

Yu Hao looked at Yu Xue.

"I will not force a divorce."

Yu Xue relaxed slightly.

"But," Yu Hao continued, his gaze turning sharp, "That boy must prove himself."

"If Bai Ren wishes to stand beside you as your husband—"

"He must show with his ability that he deserves you."

Yu Xue nodded lightly.

"That is fair."

Yu Hao turned toward Bai Jian.

"You will bring him here when the time comes."

"Yes, my lord!" Bai Jian replied hurriedly.

Yu Hao's eyes narrowed.

"This marriage will not be easy for him."

Yu Hao thought, How should I explain this to the elders and my 4th wife? This is going to be troublesome now..

He looked at his sister and she was smiling.

I think let's not care about them now.

Meanwhile…

Yu Xue Mansion (Kitchen).

Bai Ren hummed softly as he moved around the kitchen.

That his peaceful days were about to end.

Bai Ren smiled, wiping his hands.

"Dinner's almost ready~"
