Chapter 106 - Chapter 106: The Living Tribunal’s Denial

Deep in the cosmos, far beyond the boundaries of the physical universe, in a realm where dimensions fold into pure abstraction.

There is no time here. No space. Only raw concepts and laws flowing like rivers of light.

Hummmm—

Starlight converged. Nebulae swirled.

Four incomprehensibly vast figures materialized in the void.

Eternity.

His body was the living map of the entire universe—countless galaxies born and dying within him.

Infinity.

She was space made manifest, golden radiance stretching across endless dimensions.

Annihilation.

He was the embodiment of nothingness, the direct opposite of all that exists.

And Death.

The hooded skeletal goddess, her empty sockets flickering with pale green flame.

The five great cosmic entities of the universe.

Minus one.

The seat that once belonged to the Devourer of Worlds—Galactus—was empty. Not even a trace of residual energy remained.

This wasn't just the loss of a colleague.

It meant one of the cornerstones of the universe had crumbled.

"Galactus… is gone."

Eternity's voice rumbled like a billion star systems vibrating at once.

"And not just Galactus."

Infinity's golden silhouette trembled, panic leaking through her normally serene tone.

"An entire Celestial combat host—ten Executioners."

"Wiped out in less than a second."

"No chance to return to the World-Forge."

"All by that mortal… Frieza."

The name hung in the air.

Four beings who embodied the highest laws of the cosmos fell silent at the mention of it.

Fear.

An emotion they hadn't felt in billions of years.

Now it spread like a virus through their conceptual network, infecting every corner of the multiverse.

"He possesses all six Infinity Stones," Death intoned, ghostly fire dancing in her hollow eyes.

"And his own power…"

"It's raw energy capable of tearing reality apart and rewriting definitions."

"He's a variable. A massive glitch that could force a full cosmic reboot."

Annihilation spoke coldly, the void around him fracturing from his anger.

"If we don't stop him…"

"We will die too."

The words ripped away the last pretense.

They weren't worried about the safety of the universe.

They were worried about keeping their thrones.

This Frieza guy had too big an appetite.

He treated planets like real estate and civilizations like cheap labor.

If he kept going, would this still be the gods' universe?

Or would it just become Frieza Enterprises—private property?

"We have to act," Eternity declared.

"But with the Infinity Stones in his hands, our odds… are uncertain."

"Then we go to the Judge."

"We petition the one who represents the ultimate authority."

"We request a universe-level sanction!"

…

In the seams between multiverses, the Place of Judgment.

A realm without color or direction.

A single colossal golden giant floated in the emptiness, large enough to cradle an entire universe in one hand.

Three faces looked out from his head: Equity, Necessity, and Vengeance.

Above him, his head remained uncovered—symbolizing the One Above All, the singular supreme being.

The Living Tribunal.

The highest judge in the multiverse, second only to the OAA.

Humm—

Four streaks of light tore through the void—the four cosmic entities arriving to file their complaint.

Before the Tribunal, they were less than dust motes.

"Great Tribunal," Eternity began, voice dripping with uncharacteristic humility.

"A grave violation of cosmic law has occurred in Universe 616."

"A mortal named Frieza has stolen the Infinity Stones and gained power that shatters all balance."

"He destroyed the Devourer of Worlds. He eradicated the Celestial Host."

"He is attempting to turn the entire universe into his personal property!"

"This is a direct breach of the fundamental laws of existence!"

"We request that the Tribunal… deliver judgment. Strip him of his power. Erase him from existence!"

The four bowed their heads, awaiting the inevitable ruling.

In their minds, this was a slam-dunk case.

Frieza had gone way too far—openly challenging the entire cosmic order.

But…

Seconds ticked by.

The massive golden giant remained motionless, eyes closed, three faces expressionless.

Just as unease began to creep in—

BOOM!!!!!!

The Tribunal's voice exploded directly into their consciousness.

"Denied."

Two simple words.

They hit the four entities like a freight train.

"Wha—what?!"

Eternity's head snapped up in disbelief.

"Denied? But Your Honor—he killed Galactus! He destroyed the balance!"

The central face—Equity—slowly opened its eyes.

The gaze held no anger. No pity.

Only absolute, chilling indifference.

"Balance?"

The Tribunal's voice was mechanical and cold.

"Survival of the fittest is the most fundamental balance of the universe."

"The individual known as Frieza has not drawn power from any external dimension, nor introduced a threat from beyond the multiverse."

"The forces he wields—whether his own energy or the Infinity Stones—are permitted under this universe's rules."

"If he defeats you and supplants you using only those rules… then he becomes the new rule."

All three faces turned to regard the four below.

"Claims of 'universal emperor' and 'dominion'…"

"Are merely a corporate restructuring in the ongoing evolution of the cosmos."

"As long as he does not attempt to dismantle the structure of the multiverse, as long as he does not challenge the authority of the One Above All…"

"It is lawful."

"The Tribunal will not intervene."

Translated from cosmic legalese:

He earned that territory fair and square. He beat you with the tools the universe gave him. Why should I get involved?

You lost. That's a you problem. Don't bother me.

"B-but Your Honor—"

Death tried to protest.

Humm!

An irresistible wave of expulsion erupted.

"Dismissed."

The Tribunal closed its eyes and returned to slumber.

The four cosmic powers were hurled unceremoniously back into the dead silence of their realm.

Silence.

Suffocating silence.

Four of the most powerful beings in existence stared at each other, faces twisted in shock and fury.

Abandoned.

They'd been abandoned by the highest court in reality.

"Is this what they call justice?" Annihilation sneered, space collapsing around him in chunks.

"Bottom line: as long as Frieza doesn't burn the whole building down, he can do whatever he wants inside, right?"

"If the Judge won't act…"

Infinity's form began to expand, golden light laced with murderous resolve.

"Then we enforce the law ourselves."

"Exactly."

Eternity's vast body compressed into a denser, deadlier shape.

"We can't just sit here and wait to be replaced."

"Right now he's focused on the physical universe, but soon he'll reach into the conceptual realm—into our domains."

"Once he fully masters the six Infinity Stones…"

"We'll be lucky to get jobs as his interns."

Death's empty sockets blazed with real green fire.

"Then we fight."

"Call every ally we have."

"The Lords of Order and Chaos. The ancient Celestial cores. Everything."

"I refuse to believe the combined top-tier forces of the entire universe can't take down one mortal!"

"Together!"

The four cosmic entities reached out, their hands meeting in the void.
