Chapter 1 - Ashes in a Stranger's Skin

Rain slammed the jagged spires of the Crimson Spire Fortress, where the Order of Celestial Flame was poised to execute Jhon—the Fallen Demi-God accused of betraying the heavens during the Sundering. Mana chains hummed around his wrists, aura suppressants numbed his strength, and elven spirit wards whispered ancient curses. The crowd—humans, draconians with flickering scales, and weary celestials—shouted accusations. "Traitor! You doomed us all!" Jhon—or rather, the soul trapped inside him—blinked through wild confusion. Moments ago, he was a security guard in New York, caught in a building fire, suffocating in smoke. Then everything went dark. Now, suddenly, he was here—in the body of a god-like being whose reputation preceded him. His aura hormones flared, spirit essence coiled dangerously inside, and dormant mana simmered. Great, transmigrated into a legendary villain's body. This is going to be a disaster. The executioner, a towering draconian grandmaster, slammed a burning gauntlet down. "Jhon, former champion turned heretic! Feel the wrath of divine justice!" But before the hit landed, a spike of spirit essence burst from his dantian, shattering the mana chains in a wild eruption that sent the draconian crashing through stone walls. Gasps erupted. "He broke free without aura alignment... impossible!" whispered an elven spirit adept. "He called upon the Ashen Spirits unconsciously—only archons can do that!" Jhon stumbled awkwardly, aura leaking uncontrollably. Stop showing off, body! I'm clueless as you! Liora Windveil, the half-elven swordswoman assigned to his escort, lunged forward, spirit blade pulsing with wind magic. "You monster! Even sealed, your power mocks us!" she hissed. She swung, but Jhon tripped on the crushed stone and accidentally crashed into her, toppling a sect banner. Murmurs spread: "He dodged the Spirit Gale and disrupted a master strike—divine speed!" Jhon scrambled in panic. I fell on purpose! I swear! A comedic misunderstandings play out: a weak transmigrator mistaken as an overwhelmingly powerful villain. Amid the growing chaos—martial elders channeling aura storms and mages casting deadly spells—Jhon bolted through the fortress gates, his uncontrollable power slamming pillars and scattering enemies around. This day can't get worse! And I haven't even introduced myself yet! Unknown to Eryndor, the so-called "Fallen One" was no villain, but a bumbling soul caught in a cursed fate, destined to unravel the world's broken past, one misstep at a time.
