Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Xeanoz

The figure was a tall woman; she was exactly Drew's height – she had long spiky blue hair with three unevenly spaced forward spikes in a crest-like shape above her head and slightly over her face, and had lapis blue eyes.

She wore long, baggy black trousers, a navy T-shirt with a large hood attached, along with an arctic blue shirt underneath, a sleeveless black jacket over it, white boots, and two earrings with white wings on her left ear.

The clothes looked familiar, but Drew couldn't put his finger on where he could remember them from, but he had bigger problems than a recognisable fit. She stood in front of Drew, keeping her stern and cold composure.

"Now stand up."

She ordered with no hesitation, as if she were in full control of the situation because she was. Which only fuelled Drew's anger as he retorted.

"What the hell did you do to my parents-"

She scoffed to cut him off and raised the flame above her palm to threatened him.

"What I did to your parents should be the absolute least of your concerns. At the minute, I could just burn you alive-"

Drew retorted again, cutting her off and talking in a mocking tone.

"Well, why haven't you!? If you could have, you would have, so what's the holdup, bitch?"

The figure's glare became narrower as her patience wore thin.

"You swear too much for your age. Hmph, then again, you seem to have a dirty mouth anyway, Drew."

"What?"

His eyes shot open as she said his name; "I've never met this woman in my life, how the hell would she ever know my name, and she sure as hell isn't a friend of a family member!"

"Who. Are you?"

He stepped back a little.

Before remembering he'd was backed into a corner by her earlier attack, the only way to run was into the closet, which would be a dead end.

"I'll explain what's going on when I'm certain you're going to listen."

"And I guess saying your name raised the tension. So, I apologise. But you will either calm down and listen to me. Or I can just put you down, and then we can talk."

Drew began contemplating his options at that moment.

He could try to rush her again, but that would risk being burned alive, and at this rate, he doesn't have anywhere to run to.

He then put his hands up in surrender.

"Alright. I give up."

He held his head down and walked over to her. She seemed satisfied, but felt like there was more to this quick surrender. Drew stood in front of her, waiting for her to speak, as she opened her mouth to continue.

Drew took the chance to attack her this time with a direct, lined-up punch to her gut. The punch was sloppy, but it would have enough power to at least stun her for a second and give him time to run.

CRASH

The blue-haired woman immediately blasted Drew with a mix of flames and a powerful shot of air, scorching off small parts of his clothes, slightly charring his hair.

And worst of all.

Sending him through the room next to him and out the window.

Falling until he landed back-first on top of his dad's car.

Drew struggled to get back up, lying back onto the roof of the car as blood started seeping out over it and its alarm went off.

The neighbourhood Drew lives in is quite sparse; it's a private residence, and honestly, nobody helps out anyone else, and nobody really cares what goes on outside closed doors.

So, whether he dies here today or tomorrow.

No one was gonna care.

"It's real…those flames were real…what is going on today, who is she?"

He stayed on top of the car.

In a body of his own blood.

Before he shook his head. Believing that despite this being the worst day of his life.

He couldn't allow himself to just bleed out after only two attacks, also because he figured it would be a much more painful death.

Drew slowly sat up on top of the broken car.

Meanwhile, the blue-haired woman sat cross-legged on a chair behind the shattered window. She gave a small smirk; however, it was still enough to know she was being smug about Drew's failed attack.

"I'm surprised you didn't die there."

She called out. Prompting Drew to look up from his spot and glare at her.

"And here I thought you weren't the type to hit a woman, guess I was wrong…did you really think I'd let a shitty punch like that hit me?"

Drew rolled off the car and slowly trudged over to the house as he looked up at her from the ground.

"Oh, fuck you! You're horrible, attacking me out of nowhere, and what the hell even are you!?"

"You might be strong, but you can't just pull up like a frickin' cliché ass villain and kill on the spot!"

She scoffed at Drew's argument and replied.

"As I recall, I gave you the choice to quit fighting and listen."

"But instead, you chose to keep fighting – and don't get the wrong idea, I never killed your parents."

She then unexpectedly slowed down, talking calmer and a little nicer, although not enough to told.

"And if you'd calm down, I will explain everything."

Drew hummed to himself as he realised her points were valid, and if anything, they were both in the wrong.

"DAMMIT, WHY DOES THIS WEIRD BITCH HAVE TO BE RIGHT?"

Quickly after his internal outburst, the pain in his back began to grow more severe.

"That thing" was clearly out of his league.

He couldn't touch her, he couldn't get near her, he couldn't even argue with her.

So finally, Drew sighed in defeat; he believed she wasn't going to kill him. But he was still on edge in case she did decide to do something…even if he couldn't save himself from it.

"Good."

Her smirk dropped as she stood up from the chair.

"Now get back in."

***

Drew tapped on the surface of a dining table with his middle finger extremely quickly, and sitting on the other side of it was the blue-haired woman. He had managed to get a few bandages to wrap around the wounds from the earlier event, before coming over to finally hear from this weirdo, however, they were both silent.

Then Drew put his head down and groaned, he felt like he was about to vomit, and the cuts in his back stung harsher, on top of that his mind hadn't fully recovered from the death he had on the bus, but he put his focus on the woman in front of him and decided to get some answers.

"Alright....who are you, and why…did you knock my family out?"

She sighed and leaned back on the chair, composing herself as she got ready to explained, although, it seemed that she was ready to attack him the same way she had earlier in case he attempted to try anything.

"Relax. Let me start from the start."

She hesitated before said her next words, and after some contemplation, she spoke up.

"I'm not human. I guess you can call me an alien."

"I don't know how. But I ended up on Earth relatively recently, and for the past month, I've been trying to start a new life until I can find a way back. That didn't seem to be going well, so…"

She stared at him with a cold glare. It's unwavering and implied to Drew that she was not joking at all with the next words to come out of her mouth.

"Out of desperation, I attempted to kill the owners of the first house I saw after wandering for a good 3 hours."

"I'd simply tell the neighbours you've all moved out, and take this place for myself. I'm pretty sure I could've gotten rid of everything in a night. Max."

After hearing those words come out of her mouth. Drew shut his own, and he slowly tried to get out of the room, but before he could even get out of the room, the blue-haired woman sat back with her arms folded, and shot him a glare.

"Ay, ay, ay. Sit back down, I'm not finished. I'm not gonna kill you anymore."

He sweated and shook his head a bit, trying to relax, and as he sat back down, he knew even if he wanted to escape, he was just going to make things worse for himself, that's how things typically were for Drew.

Unlucky.

That's a word he heard often, consistently getting the short end of the stick. But who knows? Maybe things will get better. He could only really hope.

"Fine, let's say I believe your story…and I don't necessarily have to word it like that, cause you blew me out the frickin window, obviously you're not human."

She scoffed at the response, smirking a bit, and Drew rolled his eyes as he continued.

"But what do you even want from us besides free housing?"

"This is a normal neighbourhood, my parents and I are normal ass people."

"Unless you're giving me an Omnitrix or something, I don't want to deal with this, especially if it turns into a full ass conspiracy type BS."

She blankly stared at him, understanding that he wanted more answers, but still finding it annoying nonetheless, so she decided to start from the beginning and go with an introduction.

"Alright, let's start small then."

"My name is Xeanoz"
