Chapter 10 - Chapter 1 0: The silent Moon

Here's Chapter 9 of The Silent M

The city slept—or pretended to.

Kurogiri's streets were empty, but Luna never trusted silence.

Even after the collapse of the masked villain's plan, she felt it: a pulse in the dark, deliberate and cold.

Someone new was watching. Someone smarter. Someone crueler.

The Message

It came as a package, slipped under the precinct door.

No return address.

No fingerprints.

Inside: a black card with a single phrase engraved:

"The moon cannot hide forever."

No signature. No clue. Just darkness.

Luna examined it, her emotionless gaze piercing the black surface.

She whispered softly:

"Someone knows me… my past… everything."

Bren stepped beside her, voice tense.

"Luna… do you think it's connected to him?"

She didn't answer.

Her eyes scanned the city outside the precinct window.

She already knew.

This was bigger.

Far bigger.

The New Enemy Emerges

That night, the city trembled.

Skyscrapers cast long, jagged shadows over streets.

And from the tallest building, a figure watched.

Tall, cloaked in black, mask fractured with jagged cracks—different from the last one.

Its presence warped the air, the darkness bending toward it like obedient smoke.

The creature whispered in a voice that echoed in the minds of those nearby:

"The Silent Moon… it is time to be unmasked."

---

Psychological Tension

Luna's dreams that night were invaded.

Not by nightmares, but by memories she had buried.

The faces of her past—Lili, Hart, Bren, Steve, Mira—twisted, corrupted, calling her name.

Her knife appeared in her hands, wet with shadow that wasn't real.

She woke in the darkness, alone, pulse steady.

Emotionless. Calm. Controlled.

But deep inside, a part of her felt a twinge of unease.

Bren sat beside her, watching silently.

"You're… not scared?" he asked.

"I never am," Luna replied softly.

"But even the Silent Moon can see the shadows forming before her."

---

A Test Begins

The next morning, reports flooded the precinct:

People disappearing in groups of three.

Shadows moving unnaturally, engulfing alleys and streets.

Witnesses describing a "mask without eyes" that floated without touching the ground.

Luna scanned the reports with calm precision.

Patterns were emerging—familiar, yet more complex than anything she had ever seen.

She turned to Bren.

"This isn't the masked man.

This isn't even him.

This is someone… beyond him.

Someone who knows everything.

And now… they want me."

Bren swallowed.

"And you'll face them?"

Luna's eyes, cold and unreadable, stared past him.

"Of course.

Because if I don't… no one else will."

---

Foreshadowing the Battle

The camera pans to the city from above—Luna walking alone in the neon glow.

Beneath the streets, the new villain's shadow spreads, creeping like ink through water.

A storm is coming.

A darkness so deep that even Luna, the Silent Moon, will be forced to confront everything she buried.

And this time… it isn't just her past that will be tested.

It's her very soul.
