Allyson's POV
Michael's rough voice echoed in my mind, demanding promises I wasn't ready to make. His mouth moved against my skin with desperate hunger, leaving trails of fire wherever he touched.
"Tell me you're mine forever..." his words vibrated through my dreams.
"I..."
The response died on my lips as harsh pounding shattered the fantasy.
My eyes snapped open, lashes heavy with sleep as reality crashed back. My hand reached across the mattress, searching for Michael's warmth.
Nothing.
Empty space met my palm. The sheets were ice cold, undisturbed.
I blinked hard, confusion clouding my thoughts.
Then the truth hit like a slap.
It had all been a dream.
Michael wasn't beside me.
A frustrated sound escaped my throat as I rubbed my face, forcing myself upright. Every muscle in my body protested, a vivid reminder of the previous night's intensity.
My gaze swept the room, looking for any sign of him.
The balcony stood empty. No sounds came from the bathroom.
