Allyson's POV
Michael rose from the bed with calculated slowness, each movement precise and controlled. He knew exactly what his body did to me, knew the effect of every flex and shift of muscle.
Standing at the foot of the bed, his dark eyes burned into mine with unrelenting intensity. A challenge hung between us, daring me to break first.
I refused to give him the satisfaction.
Rising onto my knees, I straightened my spine and met his stare head-on. The balance of power was shifting tonight, and I intended to savor every second of it.
"Strip. Everything off."
His head cocked to one side, that infuriatingly confident smile playing at his lips. Control meant everything to Michael Jade, and surrendering it went against every instinct he possessed.
But his hands moved to the hem of his black sleep shirt anyway, pulling it over his head in one smooth motion.
My breath caught despite myself.
