Allyson's POV
The sound of his commanding voice made me jump in my chair, nearly sending my coffee tumbling to the floor.
"Why are you still here?"
Michael Jade stood in my office doorway like he owned the world. My pulse quickened at the unexpected sight of him. Two visits in one day was unprecedented. The CEO never made personal rounds, especially not to check on individual employees. Did this mean something more?
My lips curved into an involuntary smile as I drank in his appearance. The man was devastating in his perfectly fitted charcoal suit and pristine white dress shirt. He had loosened his tie and unbuttoned the top of his shirt, revealing just enough of his chest to make my mouth go dry. Every line of expensive fabric hugged his powerful frame like it was crafted specifically for him.
"Allyson? Are you listening to me?"
His sharp tone cut through my wandering thoughts. I blinked rapidly, heat flooding my cheeks as I realized I had been openly staring at him.
