My heart didn't just race. It exploded.
Like lightning striking every nerve in my body as Michael's strong arms encircled me, pulling me close.
His mouth hung mere inches from mine, and I couldn't help but let my eyelids flutter closed.
That scent of his crashed over me - rich cedar, masculine heat, something dark and addictive that made my head spin. It seeped into my pores, clouding all rational thought.
I craved his lips crushing against mine, his tongue diving deep, consuming me with a kiss that would leave zero doubt about his intentions - as he pressed me back against that mahogany desk, demanding, controlling, ruthlessly claiming what was his.
His hands would wander downward - desperate, burning with hunger - sliding beneath my clothing like he owned every inch of my skin.
