Allyson's POV
The first thing I noticed when consciousness crept in was the solid warmth pressed against my back. Michael's arm was draped possessively across my waist, his fingers splayed against my stomach as if claiming me even in sleep.
His breath tickled the nape of my neck, and I could feel the rough texture of his morning stubble against my bare shoulder.
"Mmm," came his drowsy rumble, vibrating against my skin. "This is how every day should begin," he murmured, his lips finding that sensitive spot just below my ear.
"You smell incredible. Like vanilla and something uniquely you that drives me absolutely wild."
A lazy smile curved my lips as I stretched languidly beneath the covers, then melted back into his embrace. The scent of his skin, clean and masculine with hints of last night's cologne, filled my senses and made my pulse quicken.
"Are you sure that's not just your aftershave rubbing off on me?" I teased, letting my leg tangle with his under the soft sheets.
