Medea is a well-known and infamous witch in Greek mythology—often labeled as a poisonous woman, a murderer, and a betrayer.

She earned the nickname "Witch of Betrayal" through blood and tragedy.

However, Medea was also a card-carrying member of what could only be called the Greek Gods' Victims Alliance.

Her entire life could be accurately described as having been completely ruined by the goddess Aphrodite's interference.

Let's start from the beginning.

Medea was the daughter of King Aeëtes of Colchis, a powerful kingdom on the edge of the Greek world.

She was also a highly skilled sorceress, personally taught by Hecate herself—the goddess of magic, crossroads, and witchcraft.

Her aunt was the legendary Circe, the witch who famously entangled herself with the hero Odysseus during his decade-long journey home.

It's no exaggeration to say that young Medea was extremely well-protected during her childhood—a completely innocent, idealistic, romantic girl who'd been sheltered from the world's cruelties.

She had a father who loved her dearly, a cute and obedient younger brother, and a divine mentor who treated her like her own daughter.

But because of the goddess Aphrodite's intervention—because the gods decided to meddle—Medea was cursed with a terrible fate: to "fall hopelessly in love with Jason, leader of the Argonauts."

It was precisely because of the gods' blatant favoritism toward Jason that this divine curse plunged Medea's entire existence into endless suffering.

The gods in Greek mythology really did commit all sorts of evil deeds with zero consequences.

Especially Poseidon. That guy was the absolute worst. Beast among beasts doesn't even begin to cover it.

And in order to help Jason obtain the legendary Golden Fleece and escape her father's kingdom, Medea—driven mad with artificial love due to the curse—stole her own father's most precious treasures.

To delay her father's pursuing forces and buy Jason more time, she even committed the ultimate atrocity: she murdered her own younger brother with her own hands, dismembered his body, and scattered his remains into the sea piece by piece.

Because of this unspeakable act, Medea lost her homeland forever and began to be scorned by everyone as a "witch" and "kinslayer."

Afterward, to help her beloved Jason ascend to the throne he believed was rightfully his, Medea used both magic and ruthless strategy to systematically eliminate his political enemies.

However, this so-called "poisonous woman's" loyalty and devotion brought Jason absolutely no joy whatsoever. Instead, it made him despise her even more with each passing day.

Because the marriage between these two was never about love—it was essentially just a story of multiple gods conspiring to help a mediocre hero complete an epic quest for their own entertainment.

Neither Medea nor Jason truly felt anything genuine for each other.

One simply wanted to obtain the Golden Fleece and claim a throne. The other was literally operating under a divine compulsion curse.

So when Jason eventually decided to fall in love with someone else—a princess with better political connections—and marry her instead, essentially discarding Medea like a used tool...

An enraged, heartbroken Medea snuck into the wedding chamber on the bride's wedding night and murdered both the new bride and her own two children with Jason.

There were three possible outcomes recorded in different versions of the myth: one where she disappeared during the subsequent manhunt, another where she was killed by Jason in revenge, and a final version where she escaped on a chariot sent by the goddess of vengeance herself.

From that moment forward, the title "Witch of Betrayal" was permanently branded upon Medea's name across all of history.

Seeing Max's avatar standing there in stunned silence after the summoning, Medea naturally conjured up a familiar story in her mind—one where her new Master didn't believe in her, or worse, actively feared her because of her infamous reputation.

But she also had a desperate wish she needed the Holy Grail to grant.

So Medea carefully tucked away the sadness threatening to show in her eyes and instead adopted a false air of seductive confidence:

"What's wrong, Master? Your expression seems rather... lost~" Her voice carried a mocking edge.

"Oh! You came all the way to Greece hoping to summon one of those great, legendary heroes, didn't you?"

"Then my appearance must indeed be quite the disappointment for you."

"After all, I am the infamous Witch of Betrayal—hardly the heroic Saber-class warrior you were hoping for."

She smiled coldly. "Well? Are you going to bind me with a Command Seal now? Force me to obey?"

Medea spoke with a half-mocking smile, her words dripping with disdain—whether directed at Max, at herself, or at both, it was impossible to tell.

But listening to Medea's bitter, defensive words, Max simply shook his head.

At the same time, he raised his right hand—the one engraved with three glowing Command Seals.

Instantly, the crimson light of the Command Seals entered Medea's vision.

The confident mask Medea had been maintaining cracked immediately, replaced by a bitter, resigned smile.

Of course. I can't find anyone willing to trust me, no matter where I go. No matter how many centuries pass.

But it didn't matter. She just had to endure this. As long as she could obtain the Holy Grail, if it truly was omnipotent—if it could grant her one impossible wish—

"By Command Seal, Medea, I trust you!"

The magical contract activated with a flash of red light.

"...Huh?" Medea's eyes went wide with shock.

"By Command Seal, Medea, I trust you!"

A second seal burned away.

"Wait! Master, what are you—?!"

"By Command Seal, Medea, I trust you!"

The third and final Command Seal vanished in a brilliant flare of magical energy.

"Ah—ah—ah—AAHHH~?!"

Yes, throughout all of recorded mythology, Medea is universally judged as a truly wicked woman: cold, cruel, unscrupulous, and skilled in countless dark schemes.

But in reality? She was just a young girl who fell in love—or rather, who was forced to fall in love by divine intervention.

She would have given everything for the person she loved, if that love had been real and reciprocated.

The wish she sought from the Holy Grail was heartbreakingly simple: to return to her lost homeland, the place she could never go back to. Or alternatively, to simply reach the peaceful end of her life without more suffering.

So when Max unhesitatingly burned through all three Command Seals in rapid succession, Medea—who had been carefully maintaining her cold, aloof demeanor—suddenly went completely off the rails.

Like a computer experiencing a critical system error, her entire mental CPU just... crashed.

After letting out a series of completely nonsensical yet strangely adorable confused noises, she threw away every shred of her previous elegant composure.

Taking one large stride forward, she reached out with both gloved hands and fiercely grabbed the collar of Max's in-game character, yanking him toward her.

"Are you an idiot, Master?! Do you have ANY idea how important Command Seals are?! How could you waste them like this over such a trivial thing?! And all THREE at once?!"

Her voice rose in pitch. "What if I betray you?! Without Command Seals, I can sever our contract whenever I want! I could betray you at any moment and you'd have no way to stop me!"

"No, you won't," Max said simply, meeting her eyes directly. "Because I trust you."

"Wha... heh... heh..."

One could only say that Max had serious untapped potential as a smooth-talking scoundrel.

Facing Medea's frantic questioning, he didn't avert his gaze or look away in embarrassment.

Instead, he stared directly into her sapphire-blue eyes—those brilliant, wounded eyes that had seen too much betrayal.

And with the most concise possible words, he spoke the exact phrase Medea could least refuse to hear:

"I trust you."

With an almost audible whoosh, an invisible aura of pure emotional overload exploded from Medea's head like steam from an overheated engine.

In the next second, Medea's normally pale cheeks flushed with a deep, obvious blush.

Even her pointed elf ears turned bright red.

Because she'd rushed forward so emotionally, the hood that normally covered her face had been blown back by the wind, fully revealing her features.

At this moment, Medea's exquisite beauty was on full display for both Max and his entire streaming audience to see.

With just a quick glance at the chat exploding in the bottom-right corner, Max could practically hear several wolf howls echoing through the digital void.

[Fawning]: Why are you just STANDING there?! Start FAWNING over her!

[DontUnderstand]: Don't understand~ Don't care~ Smida~

[Savage]: Go eat shit with your "sense of salvation"!

[Courage]: The commenter above has serious guts!

The chat had descended into beautiful chaos.

Max smiled slightly and continued the stream, completely unaware he'd just accidentally wooed an ancient witch.
