Chapter 41 - Volume 41 (Chapter 42)“When Realms Begin to Tremble”

My Girlfriend Is Stronger Than the Demon Lord – Volume 41 (Chapter 42)

"When Realms Begin to Tremble"

The sky's rippling never fully stopped. Even hours later, faint shivers rolled through the fabric of reality like distant thunder. Aria and I stood atop a high ridge overlooking the demon realm, the horizon glowing with unnatural hues.

"Aria," I said quietly, "if this Architect can rewrite realms… what does that even mean for us?"

She didn't answer immediately. Her hair swayed in the strange wind, her eyes reflecting the shifting sky. "It means," she said softly, "that even time and history may not remain stable. What we know… what we are… could be altered." Then she turned to me fully. "But that's why we prepare. And why we don't face this alone."

Before I could speak, a harsh crack split the air. A jagged tear in space opened just meters away, swirling with pale gold energy—nothing like the hostile rifts from before. This one felt… purposeful. Intentional.

Out stepped a woman clad in robes woven from starlight, her expression serene yet strained. Gorvath, who had followed behind us, instantly dropped into a defensive stance.

Aria raised a hand. "Hold. She's not an enemy."

The woman bowed. "I am Lyseria, Warden of the Celestial Archive. Guardian of the Architect's slumber."

My breath hitched. "So it's real. The Architect actually exists?"

Lyseria nodded gravely. "And it is waking. Not by choice. Something—someone—is tampering with its bindings. If it rises fully, every realm will be overwritten into a single design. All life will be… reorganized."

Aria stepped forward. "Then guide us. Tell us what we need to know."

Lyseria's expression wavered. "I will. But understand this: to confront what comes, you must venture into the Interstice—the space between realms. It will challenge your identities, your memories, and your bond."

She looked at me specifically.

"Eren, your presence will matter more than you realize."

I swallowed hard. "I'm ready. We're ready."

Aria squeezed my hand, her aura steady and warm.

"Whatever we face," she whispered, "our hearts won't be rewritten."

Above us, the sky pulsed again—brighter, louder, closer.

The journey into the Interstice had already begun.
