Chapter 2 - Guess What? I'm Still Weak!

Chapter 2: Guess What? I'm Still Weak!

My eyes went so wide I'm pretty sure they were buldging out. I pointed at the king.

"Is this some kind of prank? Because it's not funny!"

The king sighed, shifting in his throne.

"We have summoned a great hero from another world to help us, the Kingdom of Saxon."

I swear I read one thousand web novel exactly like this; one guy gets summoned into a fantasy world to defeat the demon king or some random shit like that.

But, still! I don't want to be sent to another world, especially since Emma is knocked out cold, especially since I want to see my dad again.

I stood up, my head throbbing as I walked a little bit closer to the king, pointing my finger at him.

"Some of us have lived outside of this, y'know! Send us back right now!"

The king sighed, rubbing his temples.

"You can't..."

My eyes widened.

"W-What? You're telling me you sent us here to defeat some evil foe-"

"Correction. We sent a hero here to defeat a powerful empire. That girl over there is the hero, which means..."

My mouth fell wide open.

"Oh.... I'm not a hero? You just dragged me into this?"

The king looked somewhat simpathetic.

"Yes. That also means you have no mana whatsoever, meaning you can't use magic or enhancements either."

That felt like the final nail in the coffin. I mean, come on! First, you summon me here so I can't see my dad anymore, and now you tell me this?

Emma started to open her eyes, and me face turned a little flushed.

"Huh? What happened? That light, where-"

She looked around, her eyes widening.

"Is this... a fantasy world? I've read dozens of novels like this!"

The king slapped himself lightly.

"Yes, you've been summoned here because you are the incarnation of the Rona, the Spear King. We need you to help the Saxon Kingdom defeat the Cratus Empire."

He shifted in his seat yet again.

"You have a loads of mana. If you practice, you can learn how to use it correctly."

Emma looks joyful.

"This is awesome! Right, Una?"

I sighed.

"No. I can't see my father anymore and I don't have any mana. I'm a throwaway."

The king cleared his throat.

"Actually, we can create magic for you to communicate with people."

"Huh? Really? Even from across worlds?"

"Yes. However, we need to get you to a safe place first. After all, I can't have you dying right after I sent you here by accident."

The king turned to the maid with glasses.

"Annabeth, take these two to the city."

The maid nodded, then used a wand in her hand to create wings in both me and Emma's shoes.

"Wait! What the fuck is this."

Annabeth looked confused.

"Wind... magic?"

Before I knew it, I was in the air, flying out the open window with Emma.

Emma turned to me.

"Isn't this awesome?"

"No!"

We landed in the city, which looked like a classic fantasy world city; it had wooden houses, stands, and people in all clothing you could think of.

We walked for what felt like hours, but was probably only a thirty minutes, finding our place we were staying at, but we finally found it.

Inside was a wooden floor and ceiling, and two twin beds, nothing fancy.

Emma ran to the nearest bed and jumped on it, laughing.

"I call this one."

I smiled the first time since we got here.
