Chapter 3 - Chapter 1

The grand hall of Voreoti Castle gleamed with chandeliers and gold filigree, its ancient banners fluttering gently against the marble pillars. Hundreds of guests—politicians, corporate giants, nobles, and allies from across Europe and Asia—filled the hall with murmuring voices. Cameras flashed from the press area as journalists from major newspapers waited eagerly.

Today was the day the world would remember.

The day Alexandar Argus Voreoti, only seven years old, would officially be crowned Marquis of House Voreoti.

Alex stood on the elevated platform, dressed in a formal black coat rimmed with silver embroidery, his long silver hair tied neatly behind him. Despite his young age, his posture was calm and composed—something that surprised many of the adults watching.

The officiant raised the ceremonial crown.

"By the decree of House Voreoti and its allied families, we hereby announce the succession. Alexandar Argus Voreoti shall inherit the title of Marquis, with all rights, lands, wealth, and responsibilities bestowed upon him."

The crown was placed gently upon his head.

Cameras exploded in white light. Reporters rushed to capture the moment. Within hours, newspapers across Europe and Asia would publish headlines:

"The Youngest Marquis in Modern History—The Silver Heir of France Rises.""House Voreoti Crowns Seven-Year-Old Successor."

But for Alex, it felt heavy—not because of responsibility, but because his parents were not here to see it.

The Weight of a Legacy

After the ceremony ended and the guests departed, Alex was escorted to the study where stacks of documents awaited him. With the help of loyal family retainers, he reviewed the list of his inheritance.

Even with the calm mind of a reborn colonel, Alex was stunned.

Alex leaned back in his chair, exhaling slowly.

"So… I'm the youngest billionaire in the world."

But the thought barely amused him. Wealth was a resource, not something to brag about. Instead, he made a decision that surprised even his retainers.

He personally ensured that every long-term employee of his family—maids, butlers, guards, managers—received generous retirement pay, properties, and funds to live comfortably for the rest of their lives.

"Thank you for serving my parents," he told them softly.

By the end of the day, Voreoti Castle felt much emptier.

Alexandar Argus Voreoti was now alone.

The System Panel

He returned to his bedroom, shut the door, and sat on his large bed. Then he whispered:

"System, open my panel."

A translucent, glowing window appeared before him.

His heart raced.

"And the Ope-Ope no Mi… no side effects. That's insanely broken."

"System, use the random items."

Minutes later, two new notifications sounded.

He nearly fell off the bed again from excitement.

"System, merge the ultimate skills."

A soft blue light enveloped him.

Moments later, a serene, intelligent voice echoed in his mind.

"Greetings, Master. I am Raphael."

Alex smiled and answered softly:

"Raphael… I'll be relying on you in the future."
