Chapter 47 - Chapter 46: Border of the Rain Country

Tsunade arrived at the hospital and went alone to the underground laboratory.

She took out the data and Hashirama's cells from the storage scroll.

At this stage, there was no one she could trust enough to act as her assistant, so she could only work by herself.

After sorting the information, she placed Hashirama's cells back into the refrigerator.

Once she finished organizing the stack of documents and left the hospital, it was nearly lunchtime.

Tsunade headed toward the Hatake residence.

The table was already filled with all kinds of dishes—so abundant that Kawa Kaze couldn't help thinking that once they reached the battlefield, they definitely wouldn't be eating anything this delicious. He was tempted to set up another whole table.

When Tsunade arrived, the banquet began.

"I plan to bring Nawaki with me tomorrow."

Kawa Kaze had mentioned this to Tsunade before.

"Then I'll leave him to you."

Tsunade remained calm. Nawaki had always longed to go to the battlefield, and now he finally had the chance.

With Kawa Kaze leading the group, the danger would be greatly reduced, and Tsunade had no intention of stopping them.

"Don't worry—I'll be there."

Kawa Kaze reached out and placed his hand over Tsunade's.

He wasn't hiding anything anymore.

Nawaki kept his head lowered, pretending not to see anything, focusing on eating his meat.

Minato, on the other hand, watched with interest, his mind drifting to a certain red-haired girl.

He had been so busy training lately that he'd neglected her—though he blamed Kawa Kaze for that.

"If there's any news, you can have Katsuyu relay it to me."

Tsunade treated the Slug Sage as her messenger.

"Alright then. Let's drink."

Kawa Kaze raised his cup, and the three of them downed their drinks in one go.

Because she was pregnant, Natsuki drank milk instead.

Wine was truly a wonderful thing—the atmosphere quickly grew warm and lively instead of heavy and tense.

In the end, Tsunade drank far too much, whether intentionally or not.

Minato unwillingly followed Nawaki back to the Senju estate.

He said he wanted to say goodbye to Kushina and would return later.

The younger ones left; only the adults remained—and Kawa Kaze felt he had profited handsomely from that.

Under Sakumo's shocked gaze, Kawa Kaze, still sober, carried the drunk Tsunade back to the bedroom.

The words "disgrace to the family" stuck in Sakumo's throat—he couldn't bring himself to say them.

He remembered how before he married Natsuki, even holding hands had made him blush. Comparing himself to others was truly painful.

Kawa Kaze set Tsunade gently on the bed and removed her coat.

Even in her drunken state, she murmured subconsciously, "Come back safely…"

Kawa Kaze's mind emptied for a second as he stared at her fair, almost innocent-looking face.

He lightly kissed her forehead and lay beside her—

Falling asleep while holding her soft body.

At the same time, Minato, now at the Senju compound, was trying his best to calm an angry Kushina.

He blamed everything on Kawa Kaze, never expecting that Nawaki had also acted the way he did.

"Don't be mad—my sensei told me to work on my ninjutsu."

"I didn't have time…"

"I'm going to the battlefield tomorrow with my teacher, so I came to say goodbye."

Minato's face was filled with apology, but Kushina faced away, pouting, clearly dissatisfied.

"I'm leaving tomorrow morning… Don't you want to see me again before I go?"

Minato used his ultimate technique—acting soft and gentle.

In the end, Kushina couldn't bring herself to stay angry. She slowly turned around and looked at the boy before her.

"I'll walk you tomorrow."
