Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Campus Beauty Was Shocked! Who Is This Top Family's Genius?!

[Crimson Flame Staff: Gold Rank, Spirit +300, Damage Boost +10%, Fire Damage +15%]

"Oh my GOD!"

After looking at the detailed stats of the Crimson Flame Staff, Aiden's mouth couldn't help but tremble slightly, and his expression turned into pure disbelief.

"300 Spirit points? This is a Gold Rank weapon?"

Aiden was shocked. The difference between a Gold Rank weapon and an Iron Rank one was huge. If Aiden could only get 1 point of stats per level, then...

To get 300 points, he would have to level up to 300?

But in this era, 100 was the level of a god. The highest level was only 100.

"So, normally, this 10-level long-hair rabbit would only drop an Iron Rank item, or maybe a defective one. But after a hundred times boost, it became a Gold Rank?"

Aiden held the Crimson Flame Staff tightly, and his mind was going wild with thoughts.

"So, what if it was a high-level boss, 20, 30, 40 levels? If the item it dropped was already Gold Rank, could it be boosted to Epic, Legendary, even a Legendary Artifact?"

Thinking about this, Aiden's body shivered. He couldn't even speak, his face full of shock and excitement.

Only now did he truly feel the power of the 100x Critical Hit bonus!

It was really true-hard work brought back 100 times the reward!

"Keep going!"

His hands were shaking a little. Aiden gripped his staff tightly. He didn't go back. Instead, he decided to keep fighting wild bosses.

He was stronger now.

With the Gold Rank weapon, his level had gone up to 10. He could now take on stronger elites and even high-level bosses.

Aiden was also curious. If he really killed a high-level boss, would it drop a legendary artifact?

He took a deep breath and kept walking deeper into the wilds, moving away from the crowd and getting farther and farther from The White City base.

At the same time, behind Aiden was a small and beautiful figure.

Looking at Aiden's back, Selena had a thousand questions in her eyes. Her gaze showed deep shock and confusion.

"What the hell is going on?" Selena swallowed hard. The campus beauty was shaking a little now.

She was just too curious. Aiden, a level 1 Magic Apprentice, had dared to fight alone in the wilds. Now it was almost dinner time, and the sky was turning dark.

She had planned to follow Aiden and see what he was doing. After all, it would be a shame if such a good-looking guy died.

But!

What just happened made Selena's skin crawl.

From her point of view, Aiden had killed a few long-hair rabbits. That was normal. They were only level 1 or 2 monsters. Nothing big.

The problem was Aiden's level!

It suddenly jumped from 1 to 10!

And what was even more shocking was that Aiden didn't go back to class change. Instead, he kept walking deeper into the wilds.

The area near The White City wasn't full of just low-level monsters.

High-level monsters were often dozens of levels, and they had the power to destroy a whole city!

A 10-level Magic Apprentice was going to challenge a boss like that?

That could only mean one thing.

"He's not level 1. Not even level 10." Selena thought, her mind racing with a crazy idea, "He's actually high level. He just used some kind of high-level item to hide his level. No, no, it's not hiding. It's suppressing his power, keeping his strength low so it's close to the monsters' level. And he's doing this to train himself!"

For a moment, Selena was stunned by her own thoughts.

She was only level 12.

She came to the wilds to train.

But she only fought low-level monsters in safe areas.

The long-haired rabbits Aiden killed were already her kind of target.

She would never go deeper than that.

But now?

Aiden did.

So Selena started to believe that Aiden was actually a high-level fighter, and he was just holding back his power to train.

"Whoa, so young, and already over level 10? His real level must be 20. No, if it was just 20, he wouldn't have that much guts. If he met a high-level boss, even a 30-level player would get killed in a second! If it wasn't for the city's defense spell set by the mayor, The White City would already be destroyed!"

Selena swallowed hard. Her shock was even stronger, and her teeth clenched so tight that it felt like she was about to pass out. A voice came out between her teeth:

"So... so... his level is over 30? At least 30? Otherwise, how could he be so bold? He looks like he's only 18 or 19. Just woke up? Why is he already 30?!"

"What? That's a Gold Rank weapon?!"

Selena's eyes widened.

She was lost in her thoughts.

The more she thought, the more strange it felt.

Even her skin was tingling.

Her eyes narrowed. She looked at Aiden's hand, and saw that he was holding a Gold Rank staff!

Oh!

Her guess was right!

Selena felt like she had been struck by lightning. Her back twisted as if pricked by needles.

"He's not from The White City. He came from somewhere else. A super big city. A top genius. There must be a big organization behind him. His talent is terrifying. He came here just to train?"

"MY GOD!"

Her teeth clenched tight, and her lips felt cold. She took a deep breath. Everything made sense now.

"But what kind of family would let such a young genius go to another city to train? Don't they worry he'll die out there?" Selena was shaking badly.

"Is he from the strongest guild in the country? Or one of those hidden noble families?!"

Selena's lips trembled. She had basically made up her mind. In this little town of The White City, she was the queen of the castle. Her family's Warrior God Guild was number one in The White City.

But compared to the top guilds and hidden noble families at the very peak of the pyramid, her family was nothing.

Aiden's weird behavior could only mean one thing: he came from the very top tier of the pyramid.

And here was this terrifying young lord appearing in The White City, and for years, Selena had never heard of him. Not even her father had mentioned a thing about him!

"God, that's scary." Selena shivered all over, her back turned cold. She couldn't stop shaking.

...

...

"Alright, you'll do."

At the same time, Aiden was getting farther and farther from The White City base. He found a perfect target.

[Flame Viper]

Rank: Silver Rank

Level: 13

HP: 7,200

This was a massive snake, not a boss. But it was just as tough as one.

Its entire body was covered in scales that shimmered with fire. The snake was so big it looked like a small mountain. Its upper body, when raised, was over six meters tall.

Rank: Silver.

Level: 13.

"The reward from this snake should be decent. Even with a 10x bonus, it would be a huge loot!" Aiden's face was full of excitement as he muttered to himself.

He was burning with determination now.

He had just got a Gold Rank weapon. And his only skill was Fireball. The fire damage could be boosted again.

This elite monster, well, compared to others, this Silver Rank poison snake was a real elite. At least it was in the Silver rank.

This monster would be perfect to test Aiden's current power.

When the Flame Viper saw Aiden, it raised its triangular head and hissed wildly, flicking its tongue. Its golden eyes burned with anger.

Aiden swallowed hard. He felt a chill in his gut.

This wasn't a game. This was the real world.

If he got killed by this Flame Viper, he would actually die. No second chances.
